The last thing Ethan saw was Clara reaching for him.

"Ethan!"Then everything disappeared.Darkness swallowed his vision.

Ethan could no longer hear Clara's voice. He could no longer feel the cold ground under  his body. Even the pain in his chest was gone.

For several seconds, there was nothing, No sound, light or feeling.

Then a strange voice entered his mind.

[Warning.] [Unknown energy detected inside the player's body.]

[System analysis has failed.] [Attempting second analysis.]

[Analysis failed.] [Foreign power is resisting system control.]

Ethan's eyes remained closed. He could not move and even breathe.Yet he could hear every word.

Foreign power? What did that mean?

Before he could think further, another notification appeared.

[Your body is being rebuilt.] [Your physical condition is changing.]

[Your Supreme Divine Talent has reacted to an unknown source.]

[Infinite Health Talent is evolving.]

Ethan's mind shook.Evolving? His talent was already a Supreme Divine Talent.

How could it evolve? Then an unbearable pain exploded through his body.

"Ahhh!" Ethan suddenly screamed.

His body lifted from the ground, Black light poured from his skin.

The ground under him cracked.

His veins glowed with dark energy while silver light moved through his body at the same time.

The two powers collided inside him.

One was the power of his talent, The other was something ancient.

Something that did not belong to the normal system.

Ethan's fingers curled tightly.

His teeth clenched, Every bone in his body felt like it was breaking.

His muscles twisted, while His blood became hot.

His heart stopped, Then it started again.

Boom! A powerful wave of energy exploded from his body.

The ground shook. Several broken houses around him collapsed completely.

Darius stepped backward.

For the first time since the battle began, his confident expression disappeared.

"What is that?"

He stared at Ethan in disbelief.

The body lying on the ground should have been dead.

Darius had pierced Ethan's heart. He had seen the blood.

He had watched Ethan collapse. Nobody could survive that attack.

But now Ethan was floating above the ground.

Black energy surrounded him like flames.

Silver symbols appeared across his chest. The wound that Darius had created slowly closed.

The blood disappeared. The torn flesh repaired itself.

Darius's eyes narrowed.

"This isn't possible." Clara stared at Ethan with tears still running down her face.

"Ethan?" Lucas struggled to stand.

His body was covered in blood and dust.

He looked at Ethan. Then at Darius.

"What is happening?"

Darius did not answer. He raised his sword.

His expression became serious.

Whatever was happening to Ethan, Darius did not intend to wait and find out.

He rushed forward, His body became a black shadow.

In an instant, he appeared beside Ethan.

His sword moved toward Ethan's neck.

Slash! The blade passed through Ethan.

Darius's eyes widened, There was no blood.

No wound, Ethan had disappeared.

Darius turned sharply. Ethan was standing several meters away.

His feet touched the ground.

His head was lowered. His black hair covered part of his face.

The black energy around his body slowly disappeared.

For a moment, everything became quiet, Ethan lifted his head.

His eyes had changed, They were still his eyes.

But there was something different inside them.

They looked calm, Too calm.

Darius stared at him.

"You avoided my attack?" Ethan did not answer.

He looked down at his hands, but felt completely different.

The pain was gone and his weakness was gone.

His chest no longer had a wound.

He touched it.

Nothing.Not even a scar.

A notification appeared.

[Physical restoration complete.]

[Maximum HP has increased.]

[Current Maximum HP: 1,350.]

Ethan stared at the number.

Before the attack, his health had been much lower.

Now it had increased.

His talent had activated even while he was dying.

But that was not the strangest part.

Another notification appeared.

[Infinite Health Talent has absorbed unknown energy.]

[New effect unlocked.]

[Effect 3: When HP reaches zero, the player may enter Eternal Recovery for three seconds.]

[Cooldown: Unknown.]

Ethan's eyes widened.

He understood immediately.

His talent had saved him.

But there was something else.

The black light that had entered his body had changed his talent.

What was that power?

Where had it come from?

His eyes moved toward Shadow Mountain.

The mountain was still covered by dark clouds.

The ancient bell continued to ring.

Dong. Dong. Dong.

Each sound seemed to reach deep into his soul.

Ethan felt something pulling him toward the mountain.

Not physically. It was more like a voice.

A silent call.Come.

Ethan clenched his fists. He remembered the message.

The last heir is waiting.

Could that black energy be connected to the ancient heir?

He did not know.

But he intended to find out.

Darius suddenly attacked again.

This time, Ethan saw him coming.

The sword moved toward his head.

Ethan leaned sideways. The blade passed within an inch of his face.

Darius attacked again.

Ethan stepped backward.Another slash.

He moved again.

Darius's eyes became colder.

"Stop running."

Ethan looked at him.

"You are the one attacking me." Darius's expression darkened.

He disappeared.Ethan immediately turned.

Too late.

Darius appeared behind him.The sword stabbed toward his back.

Ethan twisted his body.

The sword entered his shoulder.

Blood appeared.Clara screamed.

"Ethan!"

Darius smiled.

"Got you."

But the smile disappeared almost instantly.

Ethan did not fall.

He looked at the sword inside his shoulder.

Then he looked at Darius.

"Is that all?"

Darius froze.

Ethan grabbed the sword with one hand.

Then he pulled himself closer.

Darius tried to remove the sword.

Ethan held it tightly. His other hand formed a fist.

He punched Darius in the stomach.

Boom!

The impact sent Darius flying.

He crashed through the wall of a ruined house.

The entire building shook. Clara stared at Ethan.

Lucas's mouth opened slightly.

Neither of them expected that. Ethan looked at his hand.

He had never been this strong at the beginning of the game.

Not even close. A notification appeared.

[Normal attack detected.]

[Maximum HP increased.]

[True damage activated.]

[True damage dealt: 13.]

Ethan's eyes became sharp.

The third effect of his talent was powerful, but the first two were still the foundation of his strength.

Every attack made him stronger.

Every attack also dealt true damage based on his maximum health.

That meant he only needed time.

As long as he survived, his strength would continue increasing.

Darius climbed out of the broken house.

Blood ran from the corner of his mouth.

He looked furious.

"You." Ethan stood calmly.

Darius wiped the blood away.

"You are only level one."

Ethan smiled slightly.

"That won't last." Darius's face twisted with anger.

He raised his sword.

A dark red light covered the blade. The air around him became heavy.

Ryan, who had been lying motionless nearby, suddenly moved.

He coughed.

Clara turned.

"Ryan!"

She rushed toward him.

Ryan opened his eyes weakly.

"Clara?"

"You're alive!"

Clara quickly helped him sit up.

Ryan looked around.

"What happened?"

Lucas answered.

"Darius."

Ryan's face became pale.

He remembered the attack.

Darius had nearly killed him.

Then he looked at Ethan.

"What happened to Ethan?"

Clara looked toward him.

"He came back."

Ryan stared.

"What?"

Before anyone could say more, Darius raised his sword.

A powerful dark aura exploded around him.

"I don't care what you became."

His eyes locked onto Ethan.

"I will kill you."

Ethan's expression became cold.

"Try."

Darius vanished.

The next moment, a massive shockwave exploded through the village.

Boom! Ethan blocked the first strike with his arm.

Pain spread through his body.

He slid backward.

Darius attacked again.

Ethan blocked.

Another strike.

He dodged. Another. He ducked.

The battle became faster. The ruined village shook with every attack.

Darius was stronger and more experienced.

He moved like a trained killer.

Ethan had ten years of future memories.

He knew how Darius fought.

He knew his habits. He knew his favorite attacks.

But Darius had changed.

He had gained his hidden class earlier than expected.

That meant some of Ethan's memories were becoming unreliable.

He could no longer depend completely on the future he remembered.

He needed to adapt.

Darius swung his sword from the left.

Ethan stepped inside the attack.

He punched Darius's ribs.

Bang!

[Normal attack detected. Maximum HP increased.]

[True damage activated.]

[True damage dealt: 14.]

Darius staggered. Ethan attacked again.

Punch. Punch. Punch.

Every hit made his health rise. Darius's face became darker.

"Why are you getting stronger?"

Ethan did not answer. He kicked Darius backward.

Darius crashed into the ground.

Ethan rushed forward. But Darius suddenly smiled.

"You're predictable." A dark circle appeared  under  Ethan's feet.

Ethan's expression changed.

He tried to move. Too late. Dark chains shot from the ground.

They wrapped around his legs.

Then his arms. Darius stood.

"Shadow Prison." The chains tightened.

Ethan felt his strength being drained.

A system notification appeared.

[Debuff detected.]

[Movement restricted.]

[Health regeneration reduced by 50 percent.]

Ethan's eyes narrowed.

Darius walked toward him.

"You were lucky."

He lifted his sword.

"But luck won't save you twice."

Ethan looked at the blade. Then he looked at the chains.

His mind moved quickly.

He remembered something from his previous life.

Darius's Shadow Prison had one weakness.

The chains were connected to the ground.

Destroy the ground beneath them.

Ethan lowered his eyes. He stomped his foot.

Boom!

The ground cracked. The chains shook.

Darius's eyes widened. Ethan stomped again.

Crack! A large crack spread across the ground.

The chains loosened. Ethan pulled his arms apart.

The chains broke. Darius's expression changed.

"No."

Ethan rushed forward. He punched Darius in the chest.

Bang! Darius flew backward.

Before he could recover, Ethan appeared above him.

He brought his fist down.

Boom! The ground exploded.

Dust filled the air. Darius rolled across the ground.

Ethan stood over him. His breathing was steady.

His maximum health had increased again.

The fight was changing.

Darius noticed it too.

He suddenly stood.

His eyes were no longer filled with confidence.

They were filled with caution.

"Who are you?"

Ethan looked at him.

"Ethan Blackwood."

"No."

Darius shook his head.

"I mean who are you really?"

Ethan remained silent.

Darius stared at him.

"No normal player can do this."
