When the scene reformed, Azrael found himself standing in a dimly lit room.
Helene was lying on a bed, her body drenched in sweat as painful cries escaped her lips. Several women hurried around her, trying to assist with the delivery. After what felt like an eternity, a baby's cry finally echoed through the room. "It's a boy!" one of the women announced with a smile as she carefully handed the newborn to Helene before leaving the room with the others. Azrael slowly walked closer, his gaze falling on the tiny infant in his mother's arms—his younger self. For a moment, he simply stared, a strange feeling washing over him as he looked at the person he once was. Then— Bang! The door suddenly burst open. Azrael turned around and saw Severin stepping into the room. The moment Helene saw him, a warm smile appeared on her pale face. "It's a boy," she said softly. But Severin didn't react in the slightest, instead he simply stretched out his hand and in an instant, the entire room was swallowed by darkness, and a cold, ominous aura spread through the air. A pitch-black orb appeared above his palm. At its center was a single blood-red pupil. The moment Helene saw it, her expression changed completely. Panic filled her eyes as she pulled the baby closer and held him protectively. "W-What... What is that?" she asked, her voice trembling. "Please take it away. You're scaring the baby." The infant's cries only grew louder. Severin ignored her plea, his gaze fixed on the orb in his hand. "Do you know what this is?" Helene stared at him in confusion before slowly shaking her head. "This relic..." Severin continued calmly. "is precisely the reason I was in that pathetic state when you found me." A strange glint appeared in his eyes. "I nearly died trying to obtain it. Yet it refuses to reveal its name or origin. Instead, it gave me a task." His gaze shifted toward the child in her arms. "To gain your trust, obtain your Origin Essence... and make you bear a child.” He added "According to it, you possess an extremely rare constitution known as the Origin Mother Constitution. It grants a portion of your Origin Essence to the man you willingly give yourself to, fundamentally transforming his innate talent and potential. At the same time, it allows you to give birth to a child with absurdly high potential." As he spoke, Severin's gaze drifted toward the baby in her arms. "Apparently, both your constitution and your child's talent are of immense interest to it. "And with it, I'll be able to transcend my current talent, break through my shackles, and rise to the very top." Helene froze. For a moment, she could do nothing but stare at Severin, the man before her suddenly feeling like a complete stranger. "W-What...?" Her voice trembled. "What are you saying? You said you loved me..." The corners of Severin's lips curled into a faint sneer. "How else was I supposed to convince someone as naive and inexperienced as you to willingly give herself to me?" Helene's pupils shook violently. Countless memories flashed through her mind. Their first meeting. His confession. His promises. His gentle smiles. His affection. Everything. "So..." Her voice cracked. "It was all fake?" Tears slowly streamed down her cheeks. "Everything we shared... every word you said to me... was all a lie?" Severin remained silent for a moment before speaking in an indifferent tone. "You must be in a great deal of pain right now." His expression remained completely apathetic. "Don't worry. By the time I'm done, you won't remember any of it." Just then, the blood-red pupil within the pitch-black orb suddenly shifted. Its gaze locked onto the duo. More specifically—the baby in Helene's arms. A crimson light burst from the orb. Helene's expression changed drastically. Clutching her child tightly against her chest, she instinctively leaned away from the orb as far as the bed would allow. "No!" The crimson light intensified as an invisible force descended upon the room. Despite Helene's desperate efforts, the baby slowly rose from her arms and drifted toward the orb. The pitch-black orb floated silently at the center of the room, bathing everything in an eerie blood-red glow. "No! Please... give him back!” Helene screamed as she desperately reached out toward her son. Severin waved his hand and in an instant, several lightning chains materialized out of thin air and wrapped themselves around Helene's body, binding her firmly in place. "No! Let me go!" Helene screamed as she struggled desperately against the restraints. But no matter how hard she fought, the chains refused to budge. In the end, she could only watch helplessly as the orb extracted her baby's talent and potential. Azrael watched everything unfold before him, his expression growing colder and colder with each passing second. He had always hated Severin for abandoning him and his mother, for turning a blind eye to their suffering and refusing to do anything about her worsening condition. But now he knew the truth. The man was not merely responsible for ignoring them. He was the reason he had become a cripple. The reason he had endured years of ridicule, humiliation, and despair. The reason his mother had suffered for so many years before ultimately losing her life. The hatred festering within Azrael surged to an unprecedented level, so intense that even words could no longer describe it. After what felt like an eternity, the orb finally stopped siphoning the infant's potential, having drained it completely. The blood-red pupil within the pitch-black orb slowly shifted its gaze toward Helene who was still desperately struggling against the lightning chains restraining her. Then, without warning— Whoosh! The orb shot forward like a crimson streak of light. Before Helene could react, it plunged directly into the space between her brows and disappeared into her body. Just as it did, the scene shattered. Azrael's consciousness returned to his body, and the pendant in his hand suddenly cracked before crumbling into fine dust.Latest Chapter

After traveling for some time, they finally arrived at the camp.Three figures immediately came into view.
