The storm outside the Vance family villa had reached its violent peak, but inside the grand banquet hall, the atmosphere was thick with champagne, laughter, and the scent of intoxicating wealth.

Crystal chandeliers cast a warm, golden glow over the city’s elite, who had gathered to celebrate the high-profile merger between the Vance family and Sterling Pharmaceuticals. Victoria Vance stood near the center stage, a diamond necklace catching the light as she raised her glass to the applauding crowd.

"To the future of Bacca!" Victoria announced, her voice dripping with maternal pride. "With the legal dissolution of my daughter’s unfortunate past attachment, the Vance family enters a glorious new era of prosperity alongside our brilliant new partner, Master Julian Sterling!"

Tiffany Vance stood beside her mother, looking radiant in a custom-tailored white silk evening gown. She smiled gracefully, accepting the congratulations of wealthy socialites, though her eyes occasionally drifted toward the grand entrance. Julian was late. He had promised to return quickly after overseeing the "cleanup" at the hospital.

He’s probably just enjoying watching that loser Calvin beg on the street, Tiffany thought to herself, a cold, satisfied smirk touching her lips. To her, Calvin Hudson was already a ghost—a pathetic footnote in her journey to the absolute top of high society.

Suddenly, the heavy, gold-leafed double doors of the banquet hall didn't just open; they bounced off the walls with a thunderous boom that silenced the entire orchestra.

The laughter died instantly. Hundreds of heads turned toward the entrance.

Stepping through the doorway was not the elite security guard the guests expected. It was Calvin Hudson.

But this was not the broken, muddy servant they had mocked for three long years. The cheap, drenched clothes were gone. Calvin was dressed in a flawless, midnight-black tailored three-piece suit that perfectly accentuated his broad shoulders and commanding stature. His hair was sharply styled, and his footsteps echoed with an eerie, rhythmic authority. Most terrifying of all were his eyes—deep, piercing, and burning with a faint, dangerous golden luminescence that sent an involuntary shiver down the spine of everyone who looked at him.

Walking half a step behind him, dressed in a sharp business suit that exuded absolute corporate dominance, was Vivian Nightshade.

"Calvin?!" Victoria Vance gasped, her champagne glass trembling so violently the liquid spilled over her manicured fingers. "How... how did you get past the perimeter security? Guards! Where are the guards? Drag this garbage out of my sight before he ruins the carpet!"

Tiffany took a step back, her perfect composure fracturing as she stared at her ex-husband. The sheer aura radiating from him was suffocating. He didn't look like a beggar; he looked like a sovereign lord walking into his own courtroom. "Calvin... what is the meaning of this? You signed the divorce papers. You have no right to be here."

Calvin ignored the whispers of the crowd, walking down the center aisle of the banquet hall. The sheer pressure of his internal *Qi* radiated outward, causing the air to grow heavy, forcing the nearby guests to instinctively step back, clearing a path for him.

He stopped at the foot of the stage, looking up at Victoria and Tiffany.

"I am not here as your husband, Tiffany," Calvin spoke, his voice low, yet carrying a terrifying, resonant echo that vibrated the crystal pendants of the chandeliers above. "I am here as a creditor. To collect a debt."

"A debt?" Victoria sneered, trying to recover her arrogant composure. She stepped forward, pointing a finger at him. "You penniless wretch! You owe us everything! We fed you, we housed you, and we kept your pathetic, dying sister alive for three years! You don't possess a single penny to your name!"

"Is that so?" Vivian Nightshade stepped forward, her sharp, intelligent eyes narrowing as she pulled a sleek electronic tablet from her briefcase. She tapped the screen once. "As of exactly twelve minutes ago, the Nightshade Group has legally acquired all outstanding debts, commercial loans, and supply-chain mortgages held by the Vance Corporation."

Vivian looked up, a predatory, merciless smile spreading across her lips. "According to the global financial registry, the Vance family has used seventy percent of its core assets as collateral for the Sterling merger. Since Sterling Pharmaceuticals has officially filed for bankruptcy protection following a federal military raid tonight, your collateral is now forfeit."

The room went dead silent. You could hear a pin drop on the marble floor.

"B-Bankruptcy? Military raid?" Tiffany’s face drained of all color. She shook her head violently, her voice rising in panic. "That’s impossible! Julian is a billionaire! The Sterlings own the entire medical sector of the city!"

"They owned it," Calvin said coldly. He activated his God’s Gaze, his vision piercing through the expensive fabrics and cosmetics of his former in-laws. He could see the frantic, chaotic fluttering of Victoria’s heart, her blood pressure spiking to dangerous levels. More interestingly, he looked at Tiffany. Deep within her chest, a faint, dark residue of the same post-war genetic toxin that had plagued his sister was beginning to form—likely transmitted through her close association with Julian's experimental pharmaceutical projects.

Calvin smiled, a terrifyingly calm expression. "Julian Sterling is currently in a federal military transport, on his way to a maximum-security black site for high treason and illegal human experimentation. Your merger is dead, Victoria. And so is your family’s future."

Ring! Ring! Ring!

Suddenly, multiple smartphones began to blare throughout the banquet hall. The wealthy guests frantically pulled out their devices. Shocked gasps and murmurs erupted like wildfire across the room as the financial news alerts broke across the city.

"The Sterling Empire has fallen!"

"Federal troops seize Sterling Pharmaceuticals headquarters!"

"Vance Corporation stocks plunge to absolute zero amid massive fraud investigation!"

Victoria’s phone slipped from her hand, shattering against the stage floor. Her knees buckled, and she had to clutch the presentation podium just to stay upright. "No... no, no, no! This can't be happening! My brilliant son-in-law... our empire..."

Tiffany stared at Calvin, her hands shaking as the reality of her situation crashed down upon her. She had traded a loyal, dedicated man for an empty promise of absolute power, and within less than two hours, she had lost everything.

"Calvin..." Tiffany whimpered, taking a step toward the edge of the stage, her voice dropping into a desperate, pleading tone. "Please... there must be a mistake. We were married for three years. You loved me. You can't do this to us. Think about what we built together!"

"What we built?" Calvin’s voice dropped to a sub-zero temperature, cutting off her pathetic plea. "You built your beauty line on my father's stolen patents. You treated me like a stray dog while I slaved away to save my sister. And tonight, you and your billionaire lover tried to murder her by cutting off her life support."

He stepped closer to the stage, his eyes flashing with a lethal, golden light. "The contract is broken, Tiffany. The grace period is over."

Calvin turned his back on them, looking at Vivian. "Seize the estate. Lock the doors. Every asset bearing the Vance name is to be liquidated by morning. If they want to stay in Bacca, they can learn what it feels like to live in the gutters."

"Understood, Master Hudson," Vivian replied, bowing her head with absolute reverence.

As Calvin walked back toward the grand entrance, his silhouette framed by the roaring storm outside, Tiffany fell to her knees on the stage, her white silk dress staining against the spilled champagne, weeping bitterly as the elite of Bacca rushed past her to escape the collapsing house of Vance.

His eyes widened to the size of saucers. "Dr. Harrison… look at the arterial pressure. 120 over 80. It’s… it’s a textbook perfect reading!""Shut up! That’s impossible!" Dr. Harrison scrambled off the floor, his face twisted in utter disbelief. He shoved Lin aside, lunging toward the primary medical terminal. He slammed his palms onto the desk, staring at the surging green lines. "The brain waves! Look at the EEG tracker! The cellular hypoxia is reversing! This defies every law of modern biochemistry!""Look at her face, Doctor," Calvin said. His voice was calm, though his chest heaved slightly from the massive expenditure of his internal Qi. He stood over Elara's bed, his hand sti

In his right hand, he held a cheap, paper-wrapped pack of thirty-six standard acupuncture needles he had grabbed from the hospital's ground-floor pharmacy counter."Step away from my sister, Harrison," Calvin said, his voice dropping to a dangerous, sub-zero temperature."Are you insane?!" Dr. Lin, the junior physician, shrieked from the corner. "This is a sterile VIP environment! You can't just barge in here with... with cheap street trash needles! She is clinicall

Marcus's laughter died instantly. His brow furrowed. "What... what do you mean?" "Look at your left palm, Marcus," Calvin pointed. "The base of your thumb. Is there a faint, greenish-black line running toward your wrist?" Marcus instinctively looked down at his left hand. His breath hitched. A thin, sickly green line was indeed tracing its way along his vein. "This... this is just a minor bruise! I bumped it at the airport earlier!" "It's not a bruise," Calvin said, taking another step closer, entirely unfazed by the poison bottle. "That is the Abyssal Ash mutation path. It has already compromised thirty percent of your lower pulmonary lobe. Every time you smoke that expensive cigar, you are accelerating the cellular degradation. In less than three minutes, that line will reach your wrist. And when it does..." Calvin paused, his eyes narrowing. "Your lungs will literally begin to liquefy from the inside out." "Liar! The storm howled outside the derelict warehouse, but inside, the air was suffocatingly hot. The click of twelve assault rifles taking off their safeties echoed like a chorus of death. "Fire!" Marcus Vance screamed, his voice cracking with a mixture of terror and desperate rage. "Kill him! Leave nothing but blood!" "Master!" Vivian Nightshade moved to step in front of him. "Stay back, Vivian," Calvin said, his voice dropping to a calm, icy register. "I've got this." A wall of lead erupted from the weapons, the muzzle flashes illuminating the dark, grime-covered walls of the warehouse. Vivian didn't even flinch. She stood perfectly still behind Calvin, her hands folded neatly in front of her. Because she knew. Calvin didn't draw a weapon. He didn't even take his hands out of his pockets. Instead, his eyes flashed with a blinding, golden-crimson light. The Divine Medical System roared within his soul, and the pure Qi in his dantian surged outward like a tidal wave. Voom—
