“Today cannot be just about waiting for the Primer to become Horaz,” said one of Akyl’s staff. She often heard them impatiently commenting on the process of waiting for Primer-Horaz human side to appear. But it was better caution than administering the Ext.A all the time. There’s a limit to how much they could use it and avoid desensitizing the body.

Amusing it is to see a quick control of power, it is still better progress for Horaz’s humanity to rise above on his own than always overpowering the Primer body with drugs. Akyl is treating this in a wholly humanitarian way and often it would be frowned upon if there were better ways to gain superiority to discipline the Primer, but she wasn’t having it.

As they watched the tail rest, staying still as it waved passively, it gradually became erratic enough that it was soon showing signs of aggression. Accurate to the previous instances, Akyl and her team knew it was time to administer the drug.
