When Desmond arrived at the dungeon area, he carefully entered the dungeon and, without waiting even a second, pressed the button on the second floor and teleported away.

This time, the view was very different.

The surroundings were covered with smooth stones, as if carved by human hands. There were paintings on the walls, orderly but quite old corridors, broken pots and similar things standing around.

This could be considered the ‘real’ first floor of the dungeon because, as Penelope had said, the first floor of the dungeon was, in a way, educational.

The moment Desmond teleported inside, he reached into his inventory and pulled out one of each of the potions he had made.

Stamina Potion, Speed Potion, Strength Potion, Illusion Resistance Potion, and Fire Potion.

Each potion gave him a different kind of boost, naturally.

The most difficult potion to make was the Fire Potion, and as Desmond knew, even with his perfect fire control, he had struggled to get this potion to the second leve

  • Why Should I Care?

"We never saw the other two people's faces. They always wore masks. We only know there was a woman and a man," the culprit had said. After these words, Desmond shook his head, and as he did so, the culprit's eyes bulged, and he collapsed to the floor, dead on the spot.A pool of blood began to form in the middle of the throne room.Desmond moved on to the next criminal."If I get the answers I want early, at least you can be thrown in jail. So either answer me before I make you drink the potion, or drink the potion and share the same fate as these two."When Desmond uttered these words, the criminals looked at each other for a few seconds and then began to struggle simultaneously. Each of them had their mouths shut and were struggling to answer.Desmond quickly chose one and asked Leia to open his mouth. Once this was done, he calmly asked, "Tell me, is there another place planned to be blown up?"When Desmond asked this question, the criminal immediately nodded his head up and down.T

  • Learning It All

Lily slowly reached for the materials at the edge of the table, and the first thing she did was open the bottle filled with Light Extract. With that, an incredibly refreshing scent filled the room, and Lily immediately poured the entire bottle into the cauldron.Immediately afterwards, she took the Golden Coral and threw it into the cauldron, still in its solid form, not yet turned to dust. The moment she did this, the liquid in the cauldron stopped bubbling, the steam disappeared, and the liquid began to cool slowly."Now, Desmond, increase the heat as much as you can!" Lily said, and immediately after that, she shouted, "Everyone step back, the heat could hurt you!"With that, Desmond let go of his restraint and opened the valve of mana in his body completely, releasing everything out.The fire that burst from his palm and burned the wood in the cauldron instantly grew, rising and engulfing the cauldron itself."ONLY TEN SECONDS, DESMOND!!!" Lily shouted without waiting even a secon

  • Elixir of Truth

Desmond returned to the throne room with Lisa shortly afterwards and approached Lily, who was waiting with everything ready. He took the enormous chest of materials from his inventory and placed it on the floor.Like everything else from the system shop, these items also contained a large amount of holy power.Lily calmly opened the chest, inspected the items one by one, then pursed her lips and said, "Perfect."After that, the Professor calmly asked, "Is there anyone who can help me?"The person who stepped forward after this question was not Desmond, but Emperor Evander himself."There's no way I could make this potion myself. If you are who Desmond believes you to be, Professor, it would be an honour to learn something from you," said Evander. These words had already elevated Lily to a position of immense prestige in everyone's eyes."The honour is mine, Your Majesty. Please, all you need to do is crush the ingredients I've written down here as much as possible and try not to leave

  • Starting Today, They Are Your Kids

"We need to stay calm right now, even though it's difficult," said Desmond. Then, turning to Lily, he asked, "Professor, what ingredients are needed for the truth potion?"When all eyes turned to Lily, it became clear that no one knew of an alchemist among them who could make such a potion.Even Evander, the alchemical genius of the Empire, would not attempt such a complex potion."I'll give it to you on a piece of paper. But you do know the side effects of this potion, don't you?" Lily said, seemingly trying to find out what her young student was up to."Don't worry, I won't use it on good people anyway," said Desmond, then looked at the twenty or so criminals kneeling before them, covered in blood and wounds, and then approached one and began to squeeze his throat."There's no need to feel sorry for these bastards," said Desmond, releasing the criminal's throat only when he began to writhe."It will be easy to get information from them after they die, but just in case, it would be b

  • The Time Should Move

Nearly seven hours had passed, and the grim news had reached most of the nobles gathered at the palace.Lisa and the few inquisitors who had accompanied her, along with dozens of half-inquisitors, had brought nearly twenty criminals in their wake all the way to the palace. The mana and, of course, the qi pathways in the criminals' bodies had been sealed, and thus they had been forcibly detained like magical beasts, posing no threat whatsoever.Everything Desmond had said had turned out to be completely true. The imperial family, of course, were so stunned by the information they had received from these twenty or so criminals that they did not know what to say. This was normal.Still, the person who suffered the most damage was Thalia herself. She had learned that one of the leaders of this explosion, this terrorist attack, was her own son.The nerves of this ancient woman, who had lived for thousands of years, could not take it, and she collapsed right where she stood. This woman had

  • A Good Burial

After calming down, Desmond looked at the dead man's body lying on the grass and then said, "Please give this man a proper funeral, uncle."Evander asked with great curiosity, "Is there a special reason?"Desmond replied, "He watched his wife being murdered. He was trying to keep his body from these criminals, this middle-aged man... This kind-hearted man named Klein had a body capable of holding an unquenchable fire. Unfortunately, everything had already happened to the poor man before he could kill himself. We are very lucky that he reduced his own capacity to hold magic by killing himself."Upon hearing his words, everyone looked at the young man on the ground, Klein's body.Desmond calmly added, "I don't know how many people we lost, but if Klein hadn't killed himself before he was found, we would have lost at least half the capital."With that, everyone else did nothing but swallow hard, one after the other. There was not a single person who would argue that the man lying on the
