Chapter 2

The words that came out of Emilia's mouth hurt Joshua's heart. "It turns out that you've only been using me all this time?" Joshua clenched his hands into fists, and his jaw became harder.

Joshua's eyes were fixed on Emilia, who was in Darren's arms. Joshua tried to remain calm even though his chest felt very tight. All this time, he has always worked hard to make Emilia happy. In fact, Joshua often helps Emilia to do her assignments and provides a lot of things to make her feel comfortable with him. But Emilia had betrayed him, and this hurt Joshua deeply. 

While Emilia smiled sarcastically, she occasionally looked away from Joshua and now folded her hands in front of her chest. All this time, Emilia chose to stay with Joshua because the man eased her coursework a little. But in the end, Emilia couldn't stand it when Joshua couldn't give her anything to be proud of. Emilia became very fed up. 

Emilia directed her gaze to stare at Joshua's face more intensely. She now moved her red lips and sneered at Joshua. Of course, the woman wouldn't admit it and tried to brush it off. "I think you need to amend your words. What did I use you for? You never gave me anything. In fact, you only gave me cheap things that looked like trash. Yet you proudly say that I used you." Emilia clapped her hands together in front of Joshua's face. She wanted to make him realize. Then she said, "Come to your senses because that's really embarrassing to hear."

Emilia and Darren faced each other, and now they were laughing at Joshua right there. Darren led Emilia to step closer to Joshua, and now, Darren put his face next to Joshua's ear. "Remember, you're just a poor, useless man. So I guess, you should realize that. Because you really don't have anything to be proud of." And with that, Darren left two pats on Joshua's shoulders. 

Joshua quickly brushed the dirty hands off his body. He looked at them with such a sharp gaze that Darren and Emilia were laughing at him again by this time. They thought Joshua was a joke that made them laugh. 

Joshua couldn't take it anymore. Without saying anything, he finally stepped his foot to leave the broadcasting room. 

Joshua walked with a cold face. But when he was outside the room, he realized everyone was staring at him. Joshua had no idea that all the conversations going on inside the broadcasting room were being heard by everyone on campus. In fact, they all heard Darren's whispered voice too. 

Now, all eyes were on him. Some of them immediately laughed at Joshua. Then, as Joshua was about to walk through the hordes of people, he was suddenly stopped. 

"Poor guy, apparently he just got dumped by his girlfriend." A man wearing a hat insulted Joshua and laughed at him. 

A woman with short hair also smiled at Joshua. At first, she gave him a concerned look, but then she said mockingly. "He's so pitiful. But I guess anyone would dump him because he has a handsome face. He should know that good looks aren't everything." Afterward, the woman laughed out loud as well. 

"You're right. I wouldn't want to have a lover who has nothing either. Even to buy food, he has to work hard. I guess he'll just be a loser for the rest of his life." The other women also gave Joshua some very harsh insults. 

Meanwhile, Joshua looked at each person who had insulted him. He didn't reply with any words because Joshua thought they were just trash, and Joshua still seemed very calm even though he had cold eyes. 

"You're right. I think a guy like him will only be a loser after graduation." The short-haired woman spoke up again. The woman also shook her head and sneered back. "You should know yourself for not being able to give anything to a woman, so I guess, you shouldn't even think about getting a woman, or you'll only give her shame."

Joshua ignored all the insults he received from some of his college friends. This time, Joshua chose to leave the campus. Even as he walked, all eyes were still on him. And almost everyone on the campus was laughing at Joshua's miserable fate. 

Joshua's heart was evil. Joshua had thought that Emilia would like him sincerely, but Joshua never expected the woman he loved so much to give him such a painful betrayal.

After several tens of minutes, Joshua was outside the campus. Standing beside the bridge, he seemed to be busy with his cell phone when Joshua called someone. "Pick me up." Joshua spoke in a cold voice. Without waiting for a reply, he immediately switched off the call. 

Joshua had his eyes fixed on the river below him. Joshua occasionally closed his eyes to reduce his anger and ward off the pain. Not long after, a car pulled up behind him. 

Joshua turned around, now his gaze was fixed on a black Roll Royce car, and out stepped a man in a neat suit. The man immediately bowed before Joshua and spoke, "Long time no see, young sir." The man said very politely. But Joshua only replied with a cold glare. 

"Because all this time, I didn't want anyone to interfere," Joshua spoke briefly in a flat voice. The man still showed his cold side. He stared at the car, walked over, and leaned against it. 

The man who came to him was Peter, who was none other than Joshua's servant. Peter smiled, and he still bent his body slightly when facing Joshua. Then afterward, Peter asked Joshua a question. "Does the young master want to go home to Bradley's exit?" 

Joshua chose to direct his gaze to stare at the deserted street. He didn't even give a direct answer, so Peter only heard a heavy sigh from his master. 

The Bradley family was a very wealthy one. They owned the most significant energy company as well as other large corporations. And actually, Joshua is the son of the Bradley family. It's just that since childhood, he hid his identity from everyone. All that happened because his family wanted to protect Joshua from enemies who wanted to destroy their family. 

After Joshua went to high school, Joshua had decided to stay away from his family. Joshua chose to live like an ordinary person, but his life was quiet. And Peter watched him from a distance until the man knew what had happened to his master. But he chose to remain silent.

Now Joshua looked at Peter and shook his head, "I don't want to return to the Bradley family home yet. Besides, we're not going to talk about the family heir yet." Joshua rubbed the back of his neck once. He quickly got into the car and leaned back in the seat. Seeing that, Pete also promptly got into the car.

"Move." Joshua gave an order without looking at Peter. His gaze was fixed on the car's ceiling, and he closed his eyes. Suddenly, his cell phone vibrated, and Joshua immediately reached into his jacket pocket. 

Apparently, it was a call from his friend, a teaching assistant. Joshua immediately put his cell phone beside his ear and listened to his friend say, "Joshua, I just saw your girlfriend enter Lux hotel together with Darren."

Joshua was so shocked by the news that, without giving any answer to his friend, Joshua ended the call. He immediately sat up and told Peter, "We must go to the Lux hotel." Joshua gave the order, and Peter immediately nodded his head.
