Marcus stood silently beside Six's lifeless body for several moments. His eyes remained fixed on the corpse as he let out a slow sigh. Although he had won the battle, there wasn't the satisfaction he had expected.

He had hoped to learn who was truly pulling the strings behind everything. Instead, Six had taken that secret with him to the grave.

Marcus shook his head lightly.

"It doesn't matter," he muttered. "It's only a matter of time before I find out."

He bent down, pulled his sword

Cory stared at Marcus as though he had just seen something impossible. He had believed Marcus was dead, exactly as Capo had told them, yet here he was, standing perfectly fine in Julia's house with a faint smirk on his face. For several seconds, Cory couldn't move. His mind struggled to understand what he was seeing, and his throat suddenly felt dry.Julia noticed his strange reaction and frowned. “What? Is there something wrong?”Marcus stepped forward slowly, still watching Cory. “You're acting like you just saw a ghost, huh?”Cory immediately forced himself to regain his composure. He swallowed hard and straightened his clothes.“Hmm... nothing. Nothing at all,” he replied awkwardly. “I was just startled.”Marcus raised an eyebrow. “What is there to be startled about?”Cory forced a small laugh. “I'm just surprised. You came out of there so suddenly. Are you living here?”Marcus casually nodded. “Basically, yes.”“Oh...” Cory muttered. He glanced at Marcus again, still unable to un

The three men disappeared around the corner, and Marcus and Ryan remained where they were, watching until they were completely out of sight. Ryan finally turned toward Marcus and looked him over. “Are you okay?” Marcus glanced at himself before casually brushing some dust from his clothes. “I am perfectly fine.” Ryan nodded. “Good.” His expression then became serious. “What about Cory and Matrix? What do you want me to do with them? Kill them? Or break their legs and drag them here?” Marcus shook his head. “No need. I have something special for them.” Ryan raised an eyebrow but didn't ask any further. He knew Marcus well enough to understand that when he spoke like that, he had already made up his mind. Marcus then looked at him. “What about the investigation?” Ryan understood immediately what he meant. “What Betty said really happened. She was telling the truth.” Marcus became silent for a moment. That was all he had wanted to know. After everything that had happened, he ha

Marcus, After finishing work, he left the company and began making his way home. The streets were relatively quiet, and Marcus walked casually, actaully, he should have taken cab. But, he wanted to meet Ryan first. He turned around a corner. Suddenly, an old Toyota came speeding toward him before making an abrupt turn. “Hey—” Marcus barely had time to react before the car slammed into him, sending him stumbling several steps backward. He frowned and looked at the vehicle in confusion. “What the hell?” Before he could understand what was happening, the doors flew open. Three men jumped out. They were dressed like street thugs, with dark clothes covering most of their bodies and cloth masks hiding their faces. One of them immediately pulled out a gun and pointed it toward Marcus. “Get the fuck down!” the man shouted. “Now, or we'll kill you!” Marcus stared at him calmly. Who is it this time? He wasn't frightened. If anything, the situation irritated him. The gunman stepped c

Jackson entered his office, but his mind was still stuck on what he had just witnessed. He could not understand how the President's nephew could walk into the company, kneel before Betty, and apologize so desperately. Even more irritating was Marcus, who had remained completely calm throughout the entire situation. Jackson clenched his jaw as he sat behind his desk. Is there really something about this Marcus? he wondered. The more he watched Marcus, the more suspicious he became, and Jackson was already growing tired of seeing him act as though nothing could touch him. Just then, there was a knock on the door. “Enter,” Jackson said. The door opened, and a man stepped inside. He quietly walked toward Jackson's desk before stopping in front of him. Jackson leaned forward slightly and lowered his voice. “So, did you find anything?”. This was a private investigator, he had hired to looked into Natalie's past. Jackson was really keen on getting his revenge on Natalie, and wanted lang

Marcus looked at the President for a moment before asking, “So, how exactly am I supposed to begin?” The President nodded thoughtfully. “I already prepared all that". He suddenly snapped his fingers. One of the men standing nearby immediately stepped forward carrying a black briefcase. He placed it on a nearby table, opened it, and carefully revealed a golden card resting inside. Marcus raised an eyebrow. The President picked up the card and handed it to him. “This is an Omnibus Authority Card. It carries every authority you will need for this operation.” Marcus examined the card silently. “Show it to any government agency,” the President continued. “They will verify the authority encoded into it, and once they confirm it, they will be required to cooperate with you. You will have access to whatever government resources you need within the limits of your assignment.” He paused before adding, “In simple terms, you will be treated with the authority of the President.
