Morix Sable’s boot-licking smile froze. Then his face went blood-red.

His nostrils flared like a bull about to charge.

He slowly turned toward the security supervisor and his team, his glare sharp enough to peel skin.

“You absolute idiots, Do you know who you just offended?” he growled.

Snark!

His hands connected on the supervisor's face sending him to the ground.

"Please forgive me Sir, we didn't..."

“You’re all fired. Get the hell out of my sight.”

The men stood stunned.

“I said scram!” Morix barked, taking a heavy step forward. The men scattered like rats, scrambling away with their tails between their legs.

Without missing a beat, he turned back to Jaden. The fawning smile returned like a mask being slapped back on.

“Please, Sir. This way.”

Jaden’s eyes dropped to his feet.

“You might want to put on your shoes first,” he said flatly.

Morix blinked, looked down, and froze.

His bare feet stared back at him.

He’d charged out so fast he hadn’t even noticed. Reality hit him like a sla

Behemoth gave Jaden a once-over, his lip curling in a smirk. Then he scoffed, loud and dismissive. "Who the hell are you to talk to me like that? You trying to play hero for your boss now? Cute. But let me make this clear—we run Ironvale City's Sky City. You're out of your damn depth. And I'm going to teach you what happens when you try to play hero."He didn’t wait for a response. With a flick of his hand, he barked, “Break his legs. Let this punk learn how we do things around here.”From the side, a brick of a man stepped forward. Solomon. Built like a tank, all bulk and bad intentions, gripping an iron bar like it was a toy. His eyes were locked on Jaden with the cold hunger of a predator. He smiled, like he was about to enjoy a meal.He charged.Selena shouted, “Jaden, watch out!”But Jaden was already moving. His leg snapped up with surgical precision.Crack!Solomon’s head jerked sideways with a sharp twist. A tooth went flying, trailing blood. His massive frame stopped mid-step

The leader of the construction crew, Jackie Basco, stormed over with a scowl etched deep across his dirt-streaked face, flanked by two of his bruised men. “Ms. Verrick,” he called out, voice tight with urgency. “Thank God you’re here. This thing’s spiraling.”Selena’s heels clicked against broken concrete as she stepped forward, eyes scanning the wreckage. Her gaze hardened when she saw the twisted machinery and the bloodied shirt of one of Jackie’s workers. “Jackie. What’s the current situation?”Jackie’s jaw clenched. “Those punks over there,” he nodded toward the lounging gang with makeshift bats and rusted machetes. “They’re the ones who tore everything up. Sent four of my guys to the hospital. One of them might need surgery.”Selena’s tone dropped an octave, flat and cold. “Did you call the cops?”Jackie stepped closer, dropping his voice to a mutter. “I did. Twice. They claimed they were ‘dispatching units,’ but it’s been over an hour. You know how it goes.”“Useless,” Selena mu

Over the next two days, most of the residents of Greyfield Village packed up and moved out. What used to be a dense, noisy neighborhood quickly turned into a half-abandoned shell, its silence heavy and strange. Rift Corporation had already scheduled the demolition to start that week. But the moment the demolition crew arrived on-site, everything went sideways. As soon as the first excavator engine rumbled to life, more than thirty men emerged—armed, aggressive, and dead serious. They looked like they crawled out of a gangland turf war. Crowbars, steel pipes, machetes—each man was holding something dangerous. There was no talking. No warning. They charged.By the time it was over, two excavators were flipped, the rest smashed to pieces. Trucks were cracked open like cans. Workers were bleeding, some groaning on the ground. Others were huddled in corners, wide-eyed and shaking. The entire site looked like a war zone. And just when everyone thought it was over, one of the thugs stepped f

Vane raised his glass, the faint burn of alcohol warming his cheeks, eyes slightly glazed but bright with gratitude. The sound of forks clinking against plates faded into the background as he turned toward Jaden, voice full of conviction.“This… all of this—it’s because of you, Jaden,” he said. “Honestly, I don’t even want to imagine what our family would’ve become without your help.”He wasn’t exaggerating. They had been one step from collapse not long ago. Now they were sitting in a multimillion-dollar villa, eating a home-cooked dinner like royalty.Vane took a deep breath, then chuckled, eyes glassy with a rare vulnerability. “I was always alone. Floating through life, going through the motions. Until I met you. Now, for the first time in a long time… I feel like I’ve got a real family.”He looked Jaden in the eye. “You made me believe again. As your family, I swear on my name—I won’t ever let you suffer again. Not on my watch.”Jaden didn’t respond immediately. He just smiled, th

Once Declan realized Jaden was here to buy property, he didn’t hesitate. His voice cut through the air with finality.“Jina. Show Mr. Rift the best villas we have on hand. I don’t care which one he chooses—start the paperwork the moment he points to it. Consider it a personal gift from me.”Silence dropped like a hammer. The entire sales office froze again.Ten million per villa—minimum. And Declan had just thrown one out like it was a souvenir. Even the guards looked sideways at each other. The staff didn’t dare speak, but the disbelief in their eyes said it all. A man who once ruled his circle with arrogance and pride had now lowered himself to this level, practically offering Jaden the keys to an estate for free.Jaden, however, didn’t even blink. He looked Declan straight in the eye, voice calm, tone iron.“Appreciate the gesture, but I pay for what I own. It’s just a villa—we’re not talking about a city. I don’t need handouts.”Every word landed clean. Jaden wasn’t showing off.
