"So? What do you think, Miss Miralda? Was my answer right?"

Keshab scratched his head, clearly hoping he’d gotten it correct. But Miralda simply burst into laughter, shaking her head.

"Close," she said with a playful grin, "but still not quite right. The real answer is—"

Before she could finish her sentence, Shambhu's voice suddenly rang out from up ahead, loud and laced with irritation.

"Grab your buckets. We’re moving out."

He didn’t bother repeating himself. In fact, he didn’t even slow down, let alone glance back to check if the others were ready. It was obvious he had no intention of waiting.

"Miss Miralda, I think we better hurry," Keshab said quickly, slinging his two buckets back over his shoulders. He didn’t comment on Shambhu’s attitude, but his hurried movements made it clear: if they didn’t catch up soon, Shambhu would leave them behind.

The four of them scrambled to follow Shambhu, who was now walking even faster than before. It didn’t take long for the three men trailing

“A mist… an illusion?” Keshab kept frowning, his head shifting from side to side as his gaze swept the treetops where Miralda was pointing.“Miss Miralda, forgive me, but… I don’t see anything.”Indeed, there was nothing—no fog, no suspicious shapes. Aside from a few fluffy white clouds, all he could spot were flocks of birds hopping from one branch to another. He turned his eyes toward the trees along the right-hand path. Above them, the sky was bright and clear. But when he looked back to the trees on the left-hand path——his entire body jolted in shock.“Good heavens! I see it now, Miss! I see it!”The sky over the left-hand path had turned dark, thick with storm clouds, as though rain was moments away.“But… why is it only over the left path?” he muttered, his voice growing uneasy. “And it’s… strange.”He wasn’t exaggerating. The clouds weren’t just heavy—they were alive with silent flashes of lightning, bright and violent despite the absence of thunder. Thick mist slowly drifted

  • Chapter 437 - The Wrong Path

Shambhu stopped in his tracks and turned around.“Miralda, I know you’re just joking, right?” he said with a smile. In his mind, there was no way this girl could be serious. She had never even set foot near this forest—Shambhu was sure of it. In fact, not just her—no student from the Temple of the Divine Meditation had ever come anywhere close to it.But his smile faded when he heard what Miralda said next.“No, I’m serious,” she replied softly, her expression grave. “We should have taken the left path, not the right one.” She pointed toward one of the narrow trails at the fork in the road.“Heh… Miralda, you’re really funny.” Shambhu still couldn’t believe she meant it. “You’re just saying that to lighten the mood, aren’t you? You know—”He was about to say that simply being with her was the greatest joy of his life, but he caught himself. This wasn’t the right time for romantic words. Instead, he chose something else.“No junior master other than me has ever come here. Especially no

  • Chapter 436 - Confusion

“What the—?! Why do these buckets suddenly feel so light?”Keshab gripped the carrying pole and hoisted it over his right shoulder. He placed his own yoke on his left, balancing two massive buckets—one on each side.Oddly enough, he didn’t feel the slightest bit of strain. Not even a hint of weight pressed down on him.But just as he was about to take a step, something clicked in his mind. He turned and looked back at Miralda, who was smiling gently at him.“I knew it had to be your doing, miss. I don’t have anything to offer you right now except my heartfelt thanks.”He bowed his head—lower than usual. He might have even dropped to his knees in gratitude if he hadn’t remembered she’d asked him never to do that again. All that remained in Keshab’s heart for Miralda was deep respect and unwavering loyalty. If she asked him to leap off a cliff, he wouldn’t hesitate for a second.“There’s no need to mention it, Master Keshab,” Miralda replied calmly. “I know they’re doing this on purpose

  • Chapter 435 - Playing Dead

While Miralda clearly understood what Keshab was truly going through, Shambhu had an entirely different idea. Smirking smugly, he believed he’d taught the chubby man a valuable lesson—pushing him past his physical limits.“Serves you right for getting close to my girl,” he thought, convinced that by now, Keshab had to be running on empty.“That fat pig’s gonna drop any second now.”He was still caught up in that belief when a sudden thud echoed behind him.Thud!“Yes! Finally!”Shambhu grinned ear to ear. Hearing something fall, he was absolutely certain it had to be one of the guys walking behind him. And since the weakest among them was undeniably Keshab, there was no doubt in his mind who had hit the ground.“Told you you’d collapse eventually!”Shambhu was practically cheering inside. His little mission of petty revenge had finally paid off. But his glee was short-lived.“Brother, please stop for a moment. I think Tirtha’s really exhausted.”Ujwal knelt beside Tirtha, who was spra

  • Chapter 434 - A Change in Keshab’s Strength

"I'm imagining things, right? This can't actually be happening to me... can it?"Keshab couldn’t believe what his body was feeling. Or rather, he was too shocked to make sense of it.After all, just moments ago, he was on the verge of collapsing from sheer exhaustion—and now, he felt the exact opposite."How is my body suddenly this strong? This energized?"He didn’t just feel lighter on his feet—faster and more agile—but even the two massive wooden buckets hanging from his shoulder felt like they had no weight at all. Incredibly light."Am I hallucinating?"He couldn’t slap his own cheek to check—both hands were gripping the yoke on his shoulders. Instead, he kept shaking his head, trying to snap himself out of what he feared was a delusion. It wasn’t just paranoia. Deep down, Keshab was terrified that maybe he’d already fainted—or worse, was on the brink of death—and his mind was playing tricks on him in its final moments. But no matter how hard he shook his head, the sensation neve
