Pet?

He did not notice Caesar's expression which was darkening every time he addressed Hearthe as a 'pet'.

How could a random man address his lovely and adorable daughter as a mere pet?

The neighbor, however, did not mind nor care about the lack of reply as he continued looking around in search of the so-called new pet that Caesar had got.

After all, there are more than eighty percent of chances that this pet was the one responsible for destroying the compound wall of their house.

The wall, which had always been the best background one could get for his picturesque garden, was now rammed into, almost broken and was full of cracks making it look gruesome.

To make his garden look even more beautiful, he had called the best painter in the town nearby and got him to paint with beautiful and exotic plants and flowers all over it.

After paying so much money, his wall made the perfect background for his garden.

Yet today once he got home after work, he found it shattered with a few pieces of bricks falling all around that were supposed to be a part of his wall.

He couldn't swallow the pain of losing all the money he had paid for that wall so ran towards Caesar's house and knocked on his door.

Hence he wanted to find this pet of Caesar and punish it until his anger calmed down or he was afraid he would die with an increase in his blood pressure.

He then found a few wet marks all over the floor. He frowned in disgust when he looked at them.

How could someone not keep their house clean?

These wet marks are enough proof to show that whatever pet Caesar was raising was not well trained and it did not have any hygiene.

He never liked anything unhygienic.

Now his disgust towards the pet grew higher as his frown grew deeper. "Hey, Caesar, how can you keep such an unhygienic pet at your house, huh? You have to take care of your house, right? If you care about a stupid pet, then who will care for your house?

"It is not like your house has so many people either so that one can take care of that irresponsible pet while the others can take care of the house and its cleanliness. You are the one who should be doing all the work at your home and yet you got a pet for yourself? How tiring would it be?

"I suggest you throw that pet out of your house. What do you say, huh?"

He was about to turn his head to look at Caesar's face but before he could do so, from the corner of his eyes, he caught the sight of a retreating tail.

He felt creeped out at the sight of the crawling tail but still followed behind the trail to catch the 'culprit' that destroyed his precious wall.

Caesar frowned when he saw the man walking in a different direction from the way he was supposed to.

Before he could say a word, the neighbor had already speedened up his pace to follow the tail he had just seen.

In a few steps, they reached the backyard and the man was shocked to see Caesar's garden as he spoke in surprise, "Whoa! Caesar, what did you do to make your garden this lustrous, huh?"

He felt like he was swaying on clouds as he looked at the beautiful and bright colors while also smelling the sweetest scent one could ever find.

Caesar did not even care to answer this man as he said, "Just finish what you are here for and leave immediately."

"Okay okay," the man nodded his head and walked towards the compound wall that they shared.

The wall had cracks just like the man had said. Caesar turned his head around to look at the surroundings.

One look and his eyes locked at a tree branch which was turned and twisted in weird ways.

Caesar's lips curled up as he understood that this was the work of Hearthe.

Maybe she heard the neighbor's words and came here to resolve the problem before the latter found it.

Sadly she was caught by the man before she could come here. But luckily she had enough time to change the direction of the branches- the one that had rammed into the wall by growing at a high speed- before they came to it.

The neighbor looked around and found nothing that could be said to be the natural cause of the wall's damage.

He turned back to look at Caesar, who was standing casually placing both his hands in his pockets as if he did not care even if the wall was broken down into pieces, and asked him, "Do you see that?"
