CHAPTER SEVENTY-NINE Mia moved closer to Julius, and when she saw that Julius was almost out of breath as his eyes rolled backward, she gasped. “Just let him go! There is no way he is going to confess with the way you are holding him! I beg you!” Mia pleaded with a shaky voice, almost kneeling while she struggled with the fright that engulfed her. “Fine! CHAPTER SEVENTY-EIGHT Dan was dumbfounded as well while he stared at Rufus with so much shock in his eyes, not sure if holding him was a really good idea. “Is that the best you’ve got? CHAPTER SEVENTY-SEVEN Rufus got out of the car with Noah’s backpack in his hands, and as soon as he shut the door behind him, he saw Julius’s Lamborghini driving toward the parking lot, and he decided to remain where he was standing without saying a word. Most of the students in the school had gone in for their lectures, and the few who were still around the vicinity were either on their way to their various classrooms or were busy with one thing or the other. CHAPTER SEVENTY-FIVE As soon as Rufus heard the knock on the door, he turned to look at Cyra, but she disappeared at once, leaving him alone with the ostrich, which started whistling while it continued walking around the room. “Hey? The nervousness that engulfed him made perspiration run down his body as he thought of what to do. A few seconds later, the knock came back; this time, it was louder than the previous one, and Rufus gestured his hands toward the ostrich to turn it back into a vase, but it continued moving around. “Can you stay in one place?
