~Cold Hate~

Andrès paced back and forth by the pool, his mind racing with fury and the need for a swift action. He had to get to the marina and figure out what happened to his shipment. His fingers drummed against his phone as he considered who to call first. Jorge was already mobilizing a team, but Andrès needed more than muscle. He needed insight-someone who could see through the shadows of this power play and point him toward the right target.

He dialed Hugo's number, waiting impatiently as the phone rang. Hugo was one of the few men Andrès truly trusted in the cartel. He had been a long-time informant, a man with ears on the ground and a nose for sniffing out trouble. If anyone could help him investigate this mess, it was Hugo.

After a few rings, Hugo picked up. "Boss," he greeted, his voice calm but curious. "What's going on?"

"Meet me at the house in ten minutes. We're going to the marina," Andrès replied, not wasting time with pleasantries.

"Alright. What's happening?" Hug

~Checkmate~ Andrès stepped out of his car and slammed the door harder than he intended. The wind hit his face as he looked out over the estate grounds, his jaw clenched too. Gael’s face wouldn’t leave his mind. He walked briskly into the mansion, ignoring the greetings from two guards at the door and went straight to the bar. He didn’t even turn on the lights. Instead, he grabbed a bottle of scotch, uncorked it, and poured a full glass. His hands trembled slightly as he raised it to his lips. "I should have buried him," Andrès muttered to himself. "I should have made sure." He tossed the drink back in one go, then slammed the empty glass down. The images in his head were too clear—Gael laughing, relaxed, shopping like his conscience was clean. Like he hadn’t stabbed Andrès in the back. The glass flew. It shattered against the wall, and silence followed. Footsteps. "What happened in here?" Joyce appeared at the door, arms folded. "I heard the crash." Andrès didn't answer immedi

~More Than One Player~ The heavy gates of the estate closed behind Andres as his car eased into the driveway. The sun had dipped beneath the horizon, casting an orange hue across the grand mansion. He stepped out, his dark coat rustling with the evening breeze. There was a stiffness to his posture, the kind that came only when old memories refused to stay buried. Inside the house, silence was the first thing that greeted him. He loosened his tie and walked straight to the minibar, his mind replayed the face he had seen earlier that day. Gael. He poured himself a drink, the clink of the ice echoed in the room. He had been sure, absolutely sure it was Gael. The beard was gone, and he looked more filled out than before, but Andres would never forget that face. That smug, traitorous face. Gael had just exited a mall, shopping bags in hand, laughing as he slid into the passenger seat of a sleek black car. Living free. Living happily. The glass trembled in Andres' hand before he flu

~Morano LaRosa~Inside a sleek, dimly lit office, the scent of expensive cigars lingered in the air. A heavy oak desk sat at the center of the room, stacks of files neatly arranged on top. The walls were lined with bookshelves, but the books were more for appearance than usage. In reality, this office belonged to a man who conducted most of his business in the shadows. Seated in a high-backed leather chair was Morano LaRosa, the CEO of LaRosa Enterprises—a name known in legal circles as a legitimate business empire, but in the underworld, it held a much darker reputation. His dark hair was slicked back, his facial expression was unreadable as he sat in a meeting with his senior staff. The door swung open without warning. A man in a black suit and dark shades stepped inside. He walked with confidence that surprised Morano. The man exuded authority and power. The room instantly fell silent. Morano barely glanced up when he barked orders. “Out. Now.” The staff members hesitate

~A Walk Down Memory Lane~ The morning sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow across the polished floors of Andrés' bedroom. He stirred awake, his body feeling slightly more rested than usual. After a few moments, he got up, stretched, and moved toward the bathroom to get ready for the day. He turned on the shower, letting the water run warm before stepping in. The heat loosened the tension in his muscles, but his mind remained active. Today was different-he was stepping fully into the role of CEO for his new company, the face of his legitimate empire. As much as he loathed the tedious office politics, he understood its importance in maintaining his public image. After a quick shower, he toweled off and dressed in a tailored navy-blue suit, pairing it with a crisp white shirt and a silver tie. His reflection in the mirror was the epitome of power and control,l. By the time he left his room, the house was already buzzing with activity. He grabbed a coffee from t

~Two Worlds~ Andrés sat on the edge of his bed, the soft glow of a bedside lamp illuminating his face. The events of the day replayed in his mind like a relentless loop. The betrayal of his employees, the hijacked shipment, and the growing web of deception within his world-it all gnawed at him. But it wasn't just today's chaos that plagued him. His thoughts wandered to Emily and Gael, the two people who had shattered his trust in the past. His wife, who had shared his bed, and his best friend, who had shared his plans-both of them had betrayed him in ways that still cut deep. And then there was the Round Table. Those men who fancied themselves untouchable, manipulating the business world from the shadows. Andrés clenched his jaw. Their day of reckoning would come, but not tonight. He exhaled heavily, setting those dark thoughts aside for now. It was too much to process in one sitting. What he needed was a distraction, something to remind him that not everything in his life was fal

~Sniffed Out~ Andrés sat in his dimly lit study, the shadows playing across his face as he stared at the glass of whiskey in his hand. He'd barely touched it. His thoughts churned with anger, frustration, and the overwhelming need for retribution. The hijacked shipment wasn't just a loss of goods-it was a direct insult, a challenge to his power and authority. There had to be a rat in the system. Someone on the inside had leaked the location, and Andrés wasn't going to let them get away with it. Grabbing his phone, he called Mateo. The line barely rang twice before his trusted security head answered. "Sir?" Mateo's voice was calm, as always. "I need you at the estate now," Andrés said sharply. "I'll be there in ten minutes." True to his word, Mateo arrived quickly, stepping into the study with his usual composed aura. Andrés didn't wait for him to settle before launching into the issue. "There's a traitor," Andrés began, his voice cold and deliberate. "Someone in the loading de
