This won’t end well for all of you!” Jamie threatened while the men pushed him away toward the black cars.Mira watched the men drag Jamie away, and then gradually, she felt a sudden relief that crept into her body.“Feisty!” Desmond said with a smile on his face, looking at Mira wriggling her hand to ease the pain she felt from smacking Jamie on his strong face.“Is there anything else you would need, Lord Commander?”“Oh no, not at all, Gregory, you may go now. Let’s take him to the hospital!” Mira pleaded with the middle-aged man standing in front of her.She placed her left ear on Desmond’s heart, to know if he was still breathing.“Please help me, Sir, let’s take him to the hospital!” Mira pleaded again, with tears in her eyes, but she saw that the man was smiling at her, and this made her very surprised. CHAPTER NINETY-TWO“Don’t come close! Stay away!” Jamie said with a loud voice, as he pulled back the gun to himself, and breathed nervously. The men didn’t relent, but they traded with so much caution, approaching with very slow but steady steps, with their heads low, and their eyes high.Jamie peeped at them again, and when he noticed that they didn’t stop, he groaned in anger and frustration.He pointed his gun through the other side of the car, very close to where Mira was standing, while he still held onto her hand, but by a slim chance, he missed his shot.With the gun having only one bullet, Jamie knew that his chances of succeeding in his plans had gotten slimmer.
