Trying to stalk Luke

“Drag the Crown Prince from his throne!”

"An irresponsible prince cannot be entrusted with being a king."

"We need proof on him!"

The speeches of the people who demonstrated every day at the palace only increased. On social media, more and more bad video evidence is circulating about Luke. Even now a new video is added where Luke makes a scene at Victor's event some time ago. the rumor of being an angry and violent man immediately stuck with him without the people knowing what was really going on.

Luke was depressed with that condition. he left his office towards the palace garden. Luke felt someone following him. Immediately with his agile attitude Luke pointed his sword at the person. Luke was very surprised when he found out the person was Eloise.

“Your highness, I'm sorry. I don't mean to be mean to you. I just want to know where you go on a night like this. I was afraid you did something bad." Eloise knelt begging for forgiveness.

Since working in the palace, Eloise understood very well that kneeling was the most important thing to do to save her life. It is very powerful for her to survive as long as he has humility. Especially facing the crown prince.

"Do you think I'm a man with such a weak mind, Eloise?"

Eloise shook her head. "No, you don’t. Really! I didn't mean it like that, your highness. I was just worried about you."

"I hope you're not lying." Luke returned to the sheath of his sword. Luke continued walking while Eloise followed him a few meters behind Luke.

"If you're worried about me you should comfort me, Eloise." Luke spoke without looking back.

"I'm not a child," Luke hissed. He stopped in his tracks. Eloise also immediately stopped her steps but Luke pulled her hand so that Eloise walked parallel to him. the girl glared. Eloise couldn't do it but Luke forced Eloise beside him.

“There are only the two of us in this park. Don't make a fuss or the palace guards will find us.” Luke makes a threat that Eloise must comply with in order to save them both. Luke continued to hold Eloise's hand without letting go. The woman had tried to let go of Eloise's hand but Luke grabbed it again. Eloise tried to be silent without expecting much.

They walked around the garden hand in hand. "Eloise, do you think I really don't deserve to be a prince?"

“why do you talk like that, your highness? I hope you don't listen to public talk outside the palace.” Eloise tries to comfort Luke the way she does.

“How could I ignore it, Eloise? They are my people. The reason I'm in this position is to devote myself to them. If they feel that I am unfit to be a King in the future, how can I still survive?” Luke let out the unrest he felt.

“I'm sure they just misunderstood you, your highness. Everyone is free to have an opinion. But you also have the right to explain the truth. If you feel any or all of the accusations are true then you should admit it and apologize to them. I'm sure they just want to hear your apology. they had no intention of carrying out any coup. The proof is they didn't attack the queen."

Luke pulled his lips together. “Only the higher-ups want to stage a coup against me, Eloise. You know I almost lost my life because of that.”

Eloise played her hand doubtfully but she risked her life to talk it over with Luke. "I don't know whether you deserve to be a prince or not, your highness. I've only seen your charisma in the last few months. While as long as I know you, I only know that you are civil society. I mean, anyone would have doubts about you. Maybe starting with Elite then moving you.”

“How do I prove to all of them that I am the rightful crown prince, Eloise? I didn't lie about my identity. Do I have to dig up my father's grave to see if our DNA matches."

Eloise nodded her head. “That could be one of the most appropriate way, your highness. But not necessarily effective. People's problem is trust in you, they might think that the DNA test that you did was engineered so that the results matched. This can reduce trust in the palace.”

"Then do you have another way, Eloise?"

Eloise lowered her head for forgiveness again. "Promise you won't kill me, your highness!"

“Are you trying to give orders to a crown prince, Eloise?” Luke's eyebrows dipped at the woman with an interrogative look.

Eloise shook her head. “I made a request to save myself. So far, I've always been willing to be anywhere. I endured all kinds of torture. I want to live a long time.”

he snorted. “Say your idea! I will consider it. I promise I won't kill you."

Eloise told Luke her idea. This managed to make Luke's face red with offense. "Are you trying to embarrass me, Eloise?"

Eloise shook her head. She explained her reasons again to Luke revealing what he knew. Luke rubbed his own chin considering the idea from Eloise. “I will consider it. If you don't succeed, you will be punished by me."

"Didn't you promise to spare my life, your highness?" Eloise trembled with fear.

"But, I never promised that I would not give you any punishment." Luke laughed somehow funny while Eloise shivered with fear. He could imagine what kind of punishment would torment him. Oh, none of them for Eloise to choose.

“Now go back to your room and pray a lot, Eloise! If you're still around me, I can't help but report you to the palace maid so she can discipline you."

Eloise immediately ran screaming while Luke was. he shook his head as he watched Eloise leave. "Oh, he's so cute!" whispered Luke to himself. After that Luke returned to his study. He considered Eloise's words. Luke begins to open the petition files again for himself. He read the hate comments against himself carefully.

Victor and Agatha are enjoying their happy time as a couple. Today they have a date at Victor's apartment. Not watching movies but watching the news which shows people's protests against Luke. They both laughed happily seeing Luke getting desperate.

“Oh dear, I never thought that the rumors we spread would have such a big domino effect.”

Agatha nodded her head with a chuckle. “Darling, I really feel lucky that I met someone like you. Come on, spread all your bad rumors about him to all your relations so that things heat up dear."

Victor chuckled. “Darling, you are so greedy. Do you really want your ex-husband to step down from his throne?”
