NESSE’S POV

As early as I woke up, I called all my security guards into my living room.

“Aside from my doctor, did someone else come into this house?” I asked them.

They stared at each other, as though they didn’t understand the simple question I asked, and that was enough to make me upset.

“Was my ex-husband here last night?” I asked in clearer terms.

And then they began to stare at me as though I was saying something absurd.

“Can someone freaking give me an answer?!” I fired at them.

“No, Miss Nesse,” the head security answered. “Since the day he walked out of here, he hasn’t returned here,” he added.

“You all haven’t been doing your jobs, huh?” I asked them angrily.

“We have, ma’am. I can assure you that this mansion is properly secured,” he answered, speaking for the rest of them as well.

“And yet, three men’s battered bodies were lying right here in my living room, and none of you could account for it,” I sneered at them.

They looked away guiltily.

  • An Almost Betrayal

IRON’S POVI saw how enraged Hades was, and what he had been about to do, and so I simply said what needed to be said. I would have said it anyway.Blake’s eyes flashed with curiosity.“Is this a joke?” Hades asked me, forgoing whatever he was going to say that would have led to a greater disaster.I knew that he would be upset finding Blake in my chamber. Hades had been aggravated since the very moment I refused to kill Blake, and all attempt to make him come to acceptance had proven abortive recently, and I was sick and tired of trying, especially when there were more important things to handle. And I had expected that Hades, with his age and experience, would understand and act accordingly, but so far, he had gradually begun to turn into a thorn in my flesh that I couldn’t take out.“No, it is not a joke,” I responded firmly. At least, for now, what Hades had been about to do had been subdued.“We are waging war against them, and I need us to come together to talk about it before

  • Provoked To Spill

HADES’ POV“Hades, Lord Dante requires your presence in his chamber,” one of the Titans came to me and told me.To my astonishment, he came alone.“You now walk around alone?” I asked him. He smiled and said, “Yes, Hades. Blake’s teachings have been helpful, and I am now very equipped to fight back,” he responded with boldness. They had no idea how dangerous whatever was hovering around the Organization was.According to his words, it was a being from another realm that had been let into the Organization. Unfortunately, he couldn’t say more than that because he couldn’t foresee things. The only person that would have been able to reveal everything was the Seer, but I couldn’t go to him.And I certainly couldn’t ask Iron to go to him either. Not after what happened the last time.“So, you think you are fit to fight off any sort of attack?” I asked him, trying to sound as casual as I could.“A hundred percent sure, Hades,” he responded with eagerness.I wanted to say a few things, but

JULES’S POVArthur walked into my room and saw me seated dejectedly on the bed.“You have been hiding away,” Arthur said as he walked closer to me.“Haven’t you been reading the news?” I asked, snapping at him.“Yes, but should you also be hiding from me? We are in this together,” Arthur said.I curled up my lips in disagreement.“Do you think I am not affected by this?” Arthur asked. “I am being criticized and bullied just as you are,” he added. He sat close to me on the bed, but as soon as I had the urge to get some distance between us, I shifted from him.If Arthur was offended by it, he didn’t say.“That godforsaken daughter of yours is really biting more than she can chew,” Arthur continued. “I knew your dead ex-husband to be a son of a bitch, but I didn’t think that his daughter would be worse,” he added.“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” I snorted.“In Nesse’s case, she became the full apple tree,” he said bitterly.I wasn’t even concerned or bothered about the fact t

  • It Is Time

IRON’S POVI decided to watch Blake train the Titans. He had been doing so for a while now, and I hadn’t had the chance to watch him, and so I did. While he trained them, I watched, and I couldn’t deny how impressed I was. Some of Blake’s fighting skills were new, and I knew that they would be helpful. Also, I was relieved that he wasn’t hiding anything from them. Blake set his mind and heart to it, and as sweat poured out of him, he gave everything to the training, and I was certain that if they continued this way, they would be able to fend off the attack.I watched them until they were done with the training, and by the time they were done, they were all exhausted, and needed to catch some air.“Lord Dante,” Blake said as he walked to me.He didn’t even sound or look tired. The strength in Blake was something that I was yet to comprehend.Hades was enraged and jealous that I gave the assignment to Blake, but there was nothing he could have done to make me change my mind. My focus

  • Death Escape

HADES’ POVAs much as I would have wanted to, I just couldn’t tell anyone that I was attacked by whatever was attacking and killing the Titans. Not even to Iron.Right there in the Organization, and I had felt it, but before I could turn, it had disappeared.“Ouch,” I groaned as the pain from the back of my ear where it had scratched me seeped into me.I hadn’t experienced this sort of excruciating pain in a really long time, and a certain type of fear enveloped me. This attack only went to show that I wasn’t exempted. All this time, I had thought that I couldn’t be reached, and that I couldn’t be attacked, but it just dawned on me that I was wrong. I stayed in my room, trying to nurse the pain all by myself, but it kept getting worse, and by the time I felt it again, I was alarmed. It had been a small scratch, but the pain had been worse than anything anyone could ever think of, and I knew that staying here wouldn’t help.“I am just going to die like one of those Titans, and it will
