The drive towards Reed's home seemed like an easy one as the car rolled its wheels down the busy road until they suddenly encountered a stuck in the midst of cars.

Reed, who seemed to be meditating with his eyes closed, suddenly snapped them open only to see what was going on because of the distraction he had encountered.

“What’s going on? Is this how it has always been?” Reed asked, coldly as he watched the other cars horn so loudly, also oblivious of what was going on.

“It's probably those street launders” The driver said in frustration.

Wanting to know what suddenly caused the traffic, his subconscious made way to the very front only for him to see that the first car was delayed because they were currently being robbed and a desperate cry for help.

Whosoever wanted to escape would be gunned down.

Soon enough, he heard a loud gunshot that scared the driver into trembling.

“I… was mistaken… it's those robbers”

Anger surged within him because Reed knew they were only wasting his time. Having spent time in prison and knowing it was his first time out after three years, he could not afford to spend any more time in the car, temporarily imprisoned again.

Then, he turned to leave when the driver exclaimed in fear, wondering what to do at that instant.

“You can't afford to leave. They will kill you! These people are brutal”

In the past, whenever something like this occured, he would have pestered the driver to find another route to drive back because he could not afford to be killed judging by how timid he was.

Now, he owed no one any explanation as to what he wanted to do.

With a cold scoff, he had the door opened and walked to the front, ignoring the desperate plea from the other owners of the car who already got a hint of what was going on to get back inside in order for his life to be saved.

“Is this all you have, huh?” The robbers asked furiously, too occupied not to see him as they used their raffles to hit a woman who was on her knees as tears streamed down her face with her hands joined together as if she was begging them.

His irritation increased when he saw that the young woman's bodyguard had been gunned down. Now, he realized the reason for the gunshot earlier.

Judging from her clothes and the type of car she drove, she didn't seem ordinary. On a closer look, Reed finally discovered her identity.

She was the newly appointed CEO of E&G he had always seen in the prison room, the city's leading manufacturing wine company. Joanna Smith.

“I promise you that's all I have. Please let me go. My uncle needs…”

“Shut the crap. How can you, a young rich lady of this city we see every single day on TV, flaunting your wealth claim to have just ten thousand bucks? Huh?”

“I'm telling you I didn't come with my purse. I was in a rush. My uncle …”

She said in a panic while the robber interrupted,

“Then, you'll die!” He thundered and pointed the gun at her, wanting to pull the trigger.

“No, please!” Joana screamed out as her face held horror, not wanting to die like her useless bodyguard who could not even protect her and continued as she hurriedly brought out something from her phone pad.

“Fine, I have my business card. You can come to my office. I'll attend to you and give you money. Please, let us go. I beg you!”

Only then did one of them laugh before the rest followed suit.

Reed assumed that was the leader of the gang because he dressed more rough and different than the rest.

He crossed his arms with a sneer because it was too hard to believe this silly action was the reason innocent citizens were held up in a temporary placement.

“So you can hand us over to the cops? Come on, we aren't fools. Don't you think so?”

He asked with his eyes bulging from their sockets and leaned towards the woman who moved backwards while still on her knees with fear laced on her face.

“No, I promise, I won't do that. You have my word!” She said and turned to the car, silently hoping that nothing would go wrong.

“Please hang in there” She muttered in despair.

However, that moment, the leader's gaze dropped as he noticed her slightly opened cleavage.

Then, he giggled as the thought of how beautiful she would look down there.

His eyes held passion as he looked at the woman who still had a pleading look on her face.

“How about you let the three of us have a taste of you? Only then will we let you go. You have it all- the fame, beauty, money. Sex shouldn't mean anything to you, right?”

Another said while she shook her head as her eyes widened in fear.

“Please don't hurt me!” She said, shivering.

“Well, if you can't be useful for us in cash, you can be useful in kind. Hold her!” The leader said immediately while Joanna screamed out in pain, wriggling in their arms.

However, they were too strong for her because it did not take a minute before they overpowered her.

Just when Reed seemed like he could not take the drama that seemed to become boring anymore, his voice thundered, “What the hell is going on here?”

“Grab that woman!” Someone suddenly yelled out while Reed and Selena walked out of the car. Seeing the situation caused Reed’s blood to boil. This could have been someone else's daughter or sister they had been searching for but unfortunately, she'd met unknown circumstances. Just then, a woman rushed out and pushed the woman roughly on the ground while the young lady groaned weakly. “Is that why I've been taking care of you, huh? Just a simple service and you can do nothing? You lowly girl!” The woman screamed out. From the looks of it, she was in her middle age and had all her body wrinkled due to the fact that she bleached her skin since she was young. Dressed in a blue jean with revealing yellow top, she had an unburned cigarette stuck in between her lips, she looked at the young lady with fury. On seeing the situation, Reed's heavy heart could not take it anymore. He could not begin to imagine what his sister must have gone through in the presence of these people who thought

"I'm sorry, sir.” The man hurriedly said with hesitation laced in his voice. That moment, Reed assumed that the man probably was his boss and only then did he attach a contact in a wrapper paper and handed it to Reed. “Once you get in, call that number and let him know that you're looking for someone. When he asks you how you got his contact, tell him it's from Thomas. He's an insider and will help you out. You can ask him anything you want to also”He said while Reed only stared at the crumpled paper. Selena however nodded and drove inside with contempt. He knew it took everything in him not to lash out and drag away his sister with the hope that she had not yet been sold. “Should I call the contact on my phone, sir?” Selena asked, uncomfortable with the sudden cold, errie silence while he nodded. After all, there was nothing else he could do aside that.At once, she did as he requested while they waited for the contact to connect. At this point, they had successfully managed to h

“Is this the place you meant?” Reed asked coldly as they stopped the car outside the gate. He couldn't understand why some men would not stick to women of their age but instead lustfully chose his little cousin. Only then did Selena nod her head as she adjusted herself on her seat. Judging by how cold he sounded, she could sense how angered he was.The brothel was nothing less than a mini building in an estate surrounded by clubs and a lot of illegal houses. Some cars sped past them while some ladies dressed half naked looking all dolled up. And for some, he could see how they were bent over cars while men swooped their dick into their holes. It was too irritating for him! However, at the corner of the side was a man who forcefully forced his rod into a woman because she didn't want to fuck with him. If not for the fact that he was looking for his pretty sister, he knew how bad he would have taught the man a lesson!Just then, he stared at a particular distance wondering where

“Reed, I… found something you might need,” Vincent said and handed over a piece of document to him as he continued, “Even though it kind of broke you because of what happened, I want you to know that I didn't do it deliberately. She agreed to it just because of you”That instant, he did not blame his brother. If he didn't go to jail, everything would be perfectly okay.He nodded his head and collected the document handed over to him. It turned out to be pictures of Alicia and a random man Reed assumed was her husband she had been married to in a wedding gown and suit. It was so obvious that his little cousin was not happy with the development judging from her reaction. “That's him… I still recognise him but after that day, I never met him again”“How did you manage to get these?”“When I wanted to inquire about her husband from friends, I got the pictures and a letter that stated that I should not bother to look for Alicia because she is fine wherever she is and she doesn't want to s

It felt too good to be true! Vincent had worked with several people before things turned pretty bad for them and he got to know that no matter how good people may be to someone, there was a limit to what they can do. “What do you mean? I could literally call her to testify because she's outside”However, the man shook his head. When his brother told him that she was his boss, he found it hard to believe based on how he watched them react secretly. For some reason, it felt as though his brother was lying to him. Reed however could see that his brother was starting to suspect. Still, he could not come clean to him and how he was able to get his money because the man would never understand. “No. I don't need her to. I just don't seem to understand you anymore. Ever since you got out of jail, you seemed so strange that I can barely recognize my brother”“That's not true, brother. I am still the younger sibling you know. You have nothing to be worried about” Reed assured. But the man d

“Hey! I will not allow you to talk to my boyfriend that way!” Selena fired back as she held Reed's hands. To her dismay, she scoffed. “What? Your boyfriend? An ex-convict?” Sharon asked and laughed so hard the moment she pointed at him..“Don't tell me you are doing this just because you want to get back at me for dating a wealthy man?” “I can see that you are so full of yourself! I have no words to trade with you. How about we leave the estate now? We already got what we wanted.”Reed replied coldly.“Got what you wanted by leeching off this poor woman? It's only a matter of time before you realize that this man is after your money! He doesn't even love you!” She screamed out. However, Reed turned around and walked into his car. “I will not tolerate you talking to my boyfriend any way you want!”Selena replied and walked into the car. “Sooner or later, you will understand the reason I jilted him!” Sharon finally said as she watched the car move away from the premises. Only then
