Felix and Serena walked into the dining room where the dinner party was being held, There weren't a lot of people present as the Scott family didn't invite many guests.

The dinning table was made up of a well refined and furnished wood that shimmered with astonishing luster that made it look different from ordinary wooden furnitures.

On the dining table, the members of the Scott family ranging from Serena's grandmother, the matriarch herself, her aunt, her uncle, and her cousin all sat in accordance to their ranking.

As Felix and Serena walked in, everyone turned their gazes toward them carrying various expressions.

Serena's aunt Miss Clarice Scott, gazed at Serena with a fake smile on her face, the same could be said for her husband, Serena's uncle, Mister Christian Scott.

Serena's cousin Anabelle Scott however didn't mask the hate and jealousy she felt for Serena who was always the matriarch's favourite and was appointed as the heiress to the family's business.
