Definitely stringing the readers along. Over doing but not thinking through property the children's genius makes it easy to switch to a new book based on the cost.

I have come to the conclusion that Avery is indeed a very wicked and heartless woman…she will regret her actions soonest. Why should she even tell little kids such about their father, when she is still in love with him.
Uh, a 4 year old was “quite fond” of Elliot, because he was “good looking”? No other description could’ve been used to describe a child looking up to an adult/their father. I’m so confused with these kids being overly mature.
