Chapter 11: A tour and a mystery
Elisa and Joseph followed Barbara through the courtyard and into the main building, which was three storeys tall and about the size of a football stadium (description not accurate, and akin to exaggeration). It was shaped like a rectangular capital A; the entrance to the building was located at what would be the horizon bar of the letter, extending out from the middle by a few metres. After pushing through the double doors, they were finally in. The inside was a large corridor that was mostly empty, save for a small row of lockers on one wall and a small storage room at the end of the corridor on their left. After exiting the corridor from the right side, they began to explore the entirety of the school, with Barbara as their guide. She explained everything to them as they went, talking about class schedules and so on. "All the classrooms are located here on the ground floor, along with clubrooms, common rooms, the teachers' lounge, the studies for upper classmen, and the main office

Chapter 12: The machine
Elisa stood in the doorway, not understanding what she saw. Beyond the door, across the room from her, was a strange machine. It seemed to be hooked up to its own generator, based on the wiring. There were also what looked like two built-in wardrobes with metal doors on the left and right walls respectively. Elisa moved in to get a closer look (it was dark and there were no lights that she could see). The size of the room seemed to be about three by three metres (an area of nine square metres), although in this darkness, it may as well have an area of twelve square metres. When she finally reached the machine, she realised then that it was a computer console. It's appearance resembled the terminals from a sci-fi film, combined with a big flat screen TV built into the wall that, apart from some connecting cables, otherwise appeared separate from the console; as well as four, smaller monitors (each the size of a tablet computer), seven inches long, built into the console. So this is

Chapter 13: The first form
The next day, Elisa and Joseph got up during the early morning, a few minutes before the morning bell. They were both early risers back at home, and even now, it would seem that hasn't changed. Elisa looked around the dormitory, taking it all in. Last night, she had all the girls in here. She couldn't remember all of them, since they had just met (and last night was pretty hectic), but she did remember that most of them were pretty lively. Well, she thought, I'll be getting to know exactly what kind of people they are starting today. Today's my first class I Eastwood Academy. I'm going to meet everybody properly now, all the students, teachers, staff, and I'll learn how this place works, the schedules, everything. After the next few days, I'll have all the information I need to start my plan. She thought nothing of the dream she had last night as she waited for the morning bell, since it was so brief and unclear. Also because she forgot all about it. Instead, her desire to understan

Chapter 14: The mystery thickens
Eastwood Academy had a pretty simple schedule. Every Monday and Friday, after breakfast, an assembly was held in which the entire school attended. No-one was left out. There, everyone stood in attention, each form in single file. At the front of each row stood the forms' head. The teachers were also at the front, facing their students on a platform that was raised from the ground by about one or two feet. The rest of the staff stayed at the back of the building, simply there to watch. On that stage were two podiums, where the head boy and the head girl of Eastwood Academy took their place and conducted the assembly. Teachers handled the morning ceremony, as they did every other day, but that was it. All other general affairs of the assembly were handled by the head boy and girl, such as the handling of clubs and monitoring student behaviour through the form heads. After assembly, there were seven morning classes, four of them after breakfast, the other three after a fifteen minute bre

Chapter 15: Jokes and Nightmares
Fire. There was fire everywhere. Smoke was rising in great magnitude, covering the sky. Ashes rose from the quaking ground, causing the little girl to stumble and cough. She could barely see three feet in front of her, the haze from the smoke and ash stinging her eyes and clouding her vision. Her ears worked though, and she could clearly hear the roars that accompanied the quakes. These weren't the sounds of the earth; they were the sounds of monsters that were on the hunt. For her. There appeared to be five of them, based on the different roars, all scattered. Although there might have been just one or two, and the rest were either a trick of the land or just her imagination. She tried to move in what she though was the opposite direction from the roars, but with all this smoke and fire, she couldn't tell up from down, left from right! Everything was spinning. Try as she might, she couldn't move an inch. She was far too disoriented. BOOM!!! A great eruption sounded near her

Chapter 16: Relations and Appearances
The next day, right after breakfast, Elisa, Joseph and Wendy were on their way to the headmaster's office. It was the custom of this school for new students to meet the headmaster on their second day here. However, since he had to leave to take care of some (unspecified) urgent business, Eastwood Academy's new students did not get to meet him, and had to wait until he returned. The three new first formers reached the headmaster's office in a few minutes, surprised to find that they are the first ones there. According to school custom, due to the large size of the student body, as well as his busy schedule (especially now), the headmaster would meet each form's new students as a group, instead of meeting them individually. It helped to save time for both parties, since the new students could go back to their respective classes at a much quicker pace, and the headmaster could go back to his own duties as well. This was especially true now, in this situation, where he had a week's worth

Chapter 17: Back to the machine
Sunday. At last. Elisa woke up to a glorious morning, with sunlight pouring in through the windows. She got up from bed, early as always. She did a little stretching before sitting down on her bed, waiting for the morning bell. She didn't have long to wait.Five minutes later, the bell rang. Everyone started getting up. It was the usual morning routine, only they didn't have to worry about classes for the day, since there weren't any. Today was another glorious day where they could sit back and relax, or perhaps take part in sports and activities for their leisure, or maybe go spend some time in the town. The children of Eastwood Academy were allowed to go to the town during the weekend, provided they asked their form teacher and got permission to do so. They could spend their time there in anyway they liked, like eating in a cafe, or buying a few accessories from one of the shops. However, students were required to travel in a group, with the lowest number being two, unless they wer

Chapter 18: Stress and rivalry
Joan was in the library, pretending to look for a book. She usually came up here whenever she needed to be alone, with no-one around to tease or stare at her. She knew how everybody whispered about her behind her back; "Look, there goes the mouse!" "I've never seen her look happy, not once!" "Oooh, maybe her face is stuck like that!". It was sickening! And the teasing was worse; "Hey Joan, looks like another rainy day." "You're such a mouse, Joan!" "Come on Joan, don't be sad. Here, have some cheese!"She could feel tears starting to form, and furiously tried to blink them away. She shook her head, trying to get rid of those sickening words that haunt her day and night. She sighed, opened her eyes, and continued (pretending) to look for a book.Eventually, after finding a good study book, she went to one of the desks at the back, placed the book down, opened it about a quarter of the way, and then proceeded to sleep. The book lay open in front of her, with her glasses (which she remov

Chapter 19: Dream come true?
Elisa woke up to find herself in a strange place. She was lying on her back, looking up at a clear blue sky with a bright sun beaming down at her. When she got up, she realised that she was in some sort of flowery meadow, with a tall, swirling structure a few metres away on her left. The meadow seemed to go on for miles and miles, covered in tall grass and a variety of different flowers; sunflowers, roses, poppies, daisies, tulips, daffodils, marigolds, lilies, buttercups, bluebells, etc. Looking ahead of her, she could see that far off into the distance, the meadow slowly turned into a hilly landscape. There was a small cluster of trees, about six hundred metres behind her, all small and oddly shaped. Other than that, all she could see around her was just the flat, flowery meadow, with a few more of those tall swirling structures scattered across the land, each within an estimated eight hundred metre distance from each other (that's a ten minute walk). After analysing her surroundi

Chapter 20: Lost and found
The interface showed a map of Sector 5 on its screen, as well as parts of the five sectors surrounding it, just like the interface in Sector 3. Elisa looked at the screen, trying to figure out exactly where she was. After analysing it for a few seconds, she saw that she was in one of the northern regions of Sector 5. At least, she thought it was north. Hard to say when she didn't know where north was, or any of the cardinal directions in general. There were no clues, no signs to guide her on that. She couldn't tell whether she was heading north, south, east or west. Even if she saw something like snow, that doesn't mean that she's close to the north or south poles; for all she knew, it could mean that it was winter, or in this case, that she was at a high altitude. Looking at the interface, she saw that at the right-hand side of the screen there were options to enhance the map. There was a zoom in and zoom out feature, an option to display the environment, another to display the flor
