The large bird stood close to the cave entrance, its large black eyes surveying the area for its eye. Although it could see the cave entrance, it couldn't see much in the cave itself, since its eyes were heavily reliant on light and it could barely see in the dark. If Elisa had known this fact, she wouldn't have been so cautious as she was being right now. Poking her head slowly out the side of the rock she was hiding behind, instead of looking over it, she peeked to see if the bird had left yet. Although she saw that it was still by the cave entrance, she found herself fascinated in spite of the situation (there was also a good amount of terror mixed in). A creature was wandering in the meadow. It was small, about the size of a kitten, but was the complete opposite of cute. It resembled an insect, but was clearly a vertebrate, an almost hairless mammal of some kind. It had a long, needle-like snout, a wide, circular mouth with three rows of sharp teeth, violet eyes (no pupils), a hairy neck and back, and a long tail that split into two points at the end. Its six legs almost looked like tentacles, having two elbows in each limb instead of one, double jointed shoulders, seven tiny digits on each paw that looked like partially blown-up balloons, and wrinkly, rubbery skin. Its face, chest and tail were puffed out (like it was chubby), while its abdomen was very slim. The creature looked as though it came from out of this world (and maybe it did). Inside a station on the rocky landscape, the mysterious man dressed like a sea captain was on the third level, typing a message on the interface. He pressed something on the interface and a 'ding' sound went off, followed by a box containing text in capitals- MESSAGE SENT. The man then said, "Alright. Well, let's hope they see it before it's too late." With that, he jumped out of the station down to ground below. He landed in a crouch, then sprung up like a tightly coiled spring, not hurt despite the height from which he jumped.He began walking in the direction of where all the monsters were gathered. A sword suddenly appeared in his right hand, a cutlass that was almost completely see-through, and seemed to shimmer and ripple, as though it was made of glass.Or water. ....Elisa had just entered the third level when the interface popped up, with a message written on it in capital letters: TWO CHILDREN HAVE ARRIVED.
