Hello, Dragon.
DL sat up in his bed, sweat breaking across his forehead. His heart raced. It had happened again, the nightmare. All those voices in his head accusing him of killing them, even their faces, their dying eyes while they breathed their last. They were all haunting him.He started hearing them, slowly at first until it was all he could hear."Murderer! Murderer! You killed us. You killed us!" Different voices whispering things to him until it was so loud that he started shouting back."You killed me first! You killed me first!" He shouted into the air.He turned to whatever direction he heard a voice but they were everywhere so he kept turning. He sometimes covered his ears with his hands but that didn't work, they were in his head. He started hitting the walls and breaking whatever he could."You killed me first!" He shouted again and someone rushed in.He looked at the door immediately as Nana locked it back. She had a key with her and no one except her and Goben could come in without b

Tight Spot
DL listened with rapt attention as Lewis reported what had happened with Diamant the other night. Lewis had caught a cold from having to stay in the rain for a while. It annoyed DL that they had spent the night together and it further annoyed him that although this information pissed him off to no end, he was so curious to hear. He wanted to know it all. He let his mind drift away as he imagined different things they could have done together, things they could have done while sleep didn't let Lewis watch. His mind boiled with rage and Lewis words seemed to make no sense to him again.   "Making babies, more slaves, making babies." He said in his head, trying hard to pacify himself. Or should he kill her right now? She seemed to have enjoyed life so far, death should be pain right now. Although he wanted her to feel like a part of her was being ripped apart from her while he killed her, he doubted his patience. He dru

A Surprise
The room was dimly lit by a small lantern at the middle of the table. The twelve faces that surrounded the table were serious ones, each drawn into its own pool of thoughts. Dark shadow casted over the face of the one at the head of the table, his face drawn into a hard image of annoyance and frustration. Goben sat next to him on his right and as he pulled the lantern closer to read the small piece of paper on the table again.   "This is in Canilus' language." Goben said, stating the obvious.   "You think I can't see that?!" DL asked, clenching and unclenching his fists. "Can you read it or not?" He added, frustrated and angry.   "I can only try, Dragon Lord. The language of Canilus Kingdom isn't what I am really familiar with." Goben said, focusing really hard on the paper. He was trying really hard to

A Reminder
Rage filled her mind as she breathed in the stench. Her stomach turned in disgust. She had thought that at least she would be put in the same dungeon as Sunain. She stared into the blackness, her mind replaying everything that happened that night.   Aaron wanted to r. a. p. e. her...   Diamant eyes burnt with painful tears. Yes, it was too fast, too soon but she had thought he was gentlemanly enough to know that he shouldn't force himself on her. She drew in a breath and regretted it immediately as the stench filled air rushed into her lungs and her stomach turned with disgust.   How could the DL do this to her? How could he lock her up here? How could he keep her away from Sunain? But how could he not? How could he not do all of these? He had the power to do it! He had the purpose to do it!&nbs

Bold Steps
DL found himself standing right in front of the dungeon that kept Diamant in darkness. She had been here for the past three days. The stench stung his nose but that didn't seemed to bother him. He went into the dungeon and looked at her curled up on the floor. He leaned in, his eyes having adjusted to the little light, he could see that her face was wet with tears. Then he could hear her whimpering, her face twitched into different emotions. Then she started sobbing inaudibly.   She had nightmares too?   DL couldn't help but ask himself surprised. He jerked away from the thoughts as he saw her violently shaking on the floor and he panicked. He had no idea of what to do. He wanted to hit himself for even worrying but he couldn't think more on that, she was still violently shaking and her sobs were growing louder. Read more
Distractions
Dragon Lord buried himself in the paperworks he had for the day. He had a guard from the dungeon request about Diamant's welfare. It was reported to him that she wasn't eating and was only surviving on water. Was she trying to die before he had the pleasure of killing her himself? He ordered that she should be given better food. He wanted to keep her there yet keep her alive. Something about him was selfish about letting her go, about letting her out from that dungeon where only him had the power to see her. He was worried about how frail she looked when he held her in his arms the night before yesterday. Held her in his arms... That sounded a little too personal, a little too close.   Preparing for a royal wedding was a huge task and people were already working tirelessly to make provisions for the day that was drawing nearer. DL still couldn't bring himself to order for the invitation letters

New Ideas
"I am so honored to have you visit me, Dragon Lord. This is absolutely rare." Clara sang to him praises as he made it into her chamber. He looked around and took a deep breath. It didn't seem so repulsing to him anymore. He was sure that she would be happy by the time he was done telling her about the purpose of the visit. "I am here to inform you of a very important thing. As we speak, a warrior with my official statement to cancel the wedding has been sent to the people. This marriage will no longer happen, at least for now." DL said and she looked at him surprised. Everything seemed to stop around Clara as she process the news. Impossible! Could her dream be finally coming true? She thought. She wanted to scream in happiness but that would make her look bad. Bad wasn't anything she wanted to look like right now. She didn't know what to do. Should she sound

Two Birds
Sunain sat on on her bed, feeling exhausted from the day's activities. She had been made not to go to any minister again, fearing what she would do. The Gimbai was still disappointed at her and was avoiding her, Natty and Nancy made fun of her all day while she crumbed the floors away. Still all these didn't bother her, what bothered her was Diamant's absence. After that day at the dungeon, she hadn't seen her again.   Aaron had been here on some occasions to ask after Diamant. At first he thought she was hiding her when she told him that she didn't know where Diamant was. He later believe her and said he would ask the Dragon Lord.    The first day she met him at the door, he had to introduce himself and Diamant hadn't really spoken about him before her sudden disappearance. Still it felt like they both shared something, the way he was desperately looking for her like he had done somet

On A Bad Foot
The Black Mask had a rigorous training process and they mostly exhausted the night training, at least that was what Diamant discovered. She had been introduced to everyone. She found Rina to be a nice person and Roc to be a man who wanted any woman who came his way. It wasn't always hard to sense things like that. Roc told her that three of them were out on a mission and two of them were in the villages to find out more about the uprising. He stated that the uprising was the hardest the DL had to confront so far and that they weren't really making any head way. She nodded along, listening intently. Goben was made her trainer as she had so much to learn about. Diamant repeated to herself why she was here and her hatred for the DL. She wouldn't want to risk forgetting a second time. Training with Goben was painful. Sometimes it looked like he was purposely hurting her. Although they were using sticks to train, it looked li

Chapter 20 - Sell a Soul
DL moved and Landrus huffed. He hadn't been able to sleep and had to come to Landrus. Which happened after he had visited Diamant's empty dungeon. He still could not explain to himself why he was there. He was glad that all the bones were at the other side and he didn't have to stare at the skeletons of dead animals. Not that he minded. He just wondered why the voices were back. It had been a while since he had the nightmare or since the voices even filled his head. The magical staff in his hand stood firmly in his grip. He breathed again.Maybe what he should be questioning wasn't why they were back. It was why they even left in the first place.******************************Lewis stared deadly at the arrow on his wooden. His room was locked but he had left the window opened. He pulled the arrow away and took the piece of cloth at the bottom. He opened the cloth and he read the words. His heart raced. It was them again.Boldly written were:MEET US TOMORROW AT THE RIVER SIDE WHEN TH
