Chapter Twenty-one
At the mention of Ambrose attacking Thelma, the Council of Crowasia was convened to discuss the severity of his actions. In a location known only to those on the Council and a handful of others, a large room with as many as twenty chairs and desks line the slightly curving walls. One chair and desk sat higher than the rest and was designated as the head of the council. Each councilor is designated to a different part of the world or department in the agency and brings much needed diverse insight to all matters brought before them. “According to reports, his companion hasn’t been seen with him since he vanished weeks ago. Ambrose paced the cramped motel room, chewing on his lip while he thought about what to do next. He’d found the tracking device easily enough. They’d have to work harder to get him cornered. He hasn’t been able to sleep over the last six months, thoughts and nightmares about Ariella plagued his mind. Thinking that Ariella was being forced to bend to the whim of that man. Countless images flashed through his mind that only caused him to be even angrier and more determined to save her. Any rational thought had left him long ago and he was spiraling ever downward. His phone starts to ring on the small table in the corner of the room.
