Chapter Eleven.
Chapter Eleven Mael woke up the next day, dressing up and setting his path straight for the company. He arrived quite early, seeing as employees resumed to their working post for the day. He strolled through the hallway, racing with his steps, totally unaware of his surroundings until he bumped into a feminine figure. “Oh mine, sorry, sorry. I’m really sorry, I wasn’t looking and-“ He stopped his statement mid sentence, seeing who he bumped into, the familiar scent of her murky vanilla scent wafting down his nostrils. Her glowering gaze matched his, filled with both rage and hatred as she also realized who bumped into her. “Were you blind?” She grilled in a spiteful tone, index pointing at her visionary orbs in reference to her sentence. Mael stared at her, remaining calm and silent, regretting he ever apologized. “You think an apology would cut the bottom of you hitting your poverty ridden self with me?” Her lips remain parted, wearing a flabbergasted expression. She heaved a v

Chapter Twelve “If you may, indulge me?” Mael quested, having a seat on one of the staged executive chairs.Snow gulped salivas through his throat, two-minded with letting his boss know of a personal secret or risk having to deal with his wrath. He had no right, no audacity to give back the job to whom he specially sacked. But he had to, and to explain that would means letting him in on a little secret. “She once aborted for me, meaning we once had an affair. And she threatened to let my wife know of the little secret if I chose not to give her back her post. I wouldn’t have if she knew I wasn’t in charge anymore, but I couldn’t risk getting that secret out also. So I kind of sorted it out on my own. I propose a sincere apology that I be forgiven.” He conceded, having no choice than to allot the secret. Mael gawked in silence, quite amazed by the truth shared with him. He was about responding when his phone began ringing, he held up an index; to indicate for him to be excused. He

Chapter Thirteen
Chapter Thirteen Mael came in terms with the news, feeling as the sadness draped over him, pulling him into a reserved state as he stared blankly into the silence. Victoria and Sybil purposely left the scene, wanting him to reminisce alone before going back to him. Minutes went by, and Mael remained silent, seated in the same position with his face stoic and unhinged to the chaos going on inside of him. He was bawling inside, his family of many years. Pain shot through him, emotional pain filled him up at the thought of their demises. He wanted to cry, but there weren’t any tears coming out. He could feel as the sadness torn him up from the inside. His father was no more, also his mother, and the people he referred to as closed loved ones. He couldn’t protect them, he lost them to his enemies. For no reason, they murdered his entire family line. He has nobody but his sister left, the only humans on earth bearing the last name Ze’Ev. That surged within him a different emotion,

Chapter Fourteen
Chapter Fourteen “Sybil befriended Joe to snoop out the information about you that he’s keeping from us. She began courting him so he’d trust her further, and thanks to the fake loyalty we were able to know The Sinners World had a plan in motion to attack your family. We went there, but we found out too late already, so massacre has been committed and only your sister was saved.” Victoria broke down to his understanding, shedding more light on what seems to trigger Mael into acting out. Truly the explanation had some rage cooling off of Mael’s system. But he wasn’t yet tamed, more fueled his anger than the idea of his lover courting his nemesis. He sheltered so much anger, so much pain, so much negative emotions, they almost burst him up from the inside. “I’m sorry Sybil.” He managed to voice the apology, throwing a soft glance in Sybil’s way before getting back on his feet, ready to exit their presence. “Is there anything else I should know or you need me to know?” He quizzed wh

Chapter Fifteen Snow gasped, words of Mael sinking deep into his hearing through his whispers right into his ears. He pulled away, a devilish smirk painting his lips as he anticipated his agreement to his plans. “If I may Sir, that’s cruel.” He commented softly, pity shunning through his gaze.Mael remained unfazed, “It’s only fair she gets a taste of her specialty.” He shrugged, walking away from his side with his hands crossed behind him. “You are going to do by my order, and your negotiation for my forgiveness will be considered. Goodbye Snow!” He let him know, walking out of the office afterwards. He hadn’t taken far strides when he bumped into his friend, Steve. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m really really sorry. I have no idea, please forgive me.” Mael was a bit taken aback by his shaky reaction, he was frightened as if he committed the mistake. It was Mael who bumped into him, not the other way around.“Are you okay?” Mael had to put a hand on his shoulder, and spoke out befo

Chapter Sixteen.
Chapter Sixteen Mael gaze twitched at her words, looking around to see the mini crowd occupying the scene shifting their gaze towards them. He looked back to the staff in front of him, heavily offended. “Take your words back and attend to me.” He demanded stiffly, striving to keep his voice calm and unhinged. “You know it wouldn’t be too polite for me to go get some securities to throw you out of here. Instead of standing there looking like a densed dummy, respect yourself by moving your feet and scram the fuck out of this salon!” The female staff responded, taking a more aggressive stance on her approach with her arms crossing over her chest. That did it for Mael. He has had enough of the disrespect, he was about matching her energy when he heard the door opening from behind. He glanced back to see Blair walking into the salon, his ex wife looking beautiful as always. “What’s going on here?” She questioned the moment she noticed them. “Ms Blair. Good afternoon and how was your

He had been gentle enough with this lady, and she keeps trying to embarrass him. It’s only fair, he teaches her a lesson. “I said you’re a thief, and I’m going to proof it to everybody. Just wait till the cops get here. A little advice though, I will start running if I were you so I won’t end up in jail.” She expatiated on her false accusation, seeming more courageous and bold even. Rage marred widely on Mael’s face, watching as the lady spewed nothing but nonsense out of her gutter mouth. Fighting over the urge to reach over and slap some sense into her head. Mael picked up his phone, scrolling through his contacts and trying to decide who to call. Who is fit to teach this y

Chapter Eighteen Mael exited the salon afterwards, refusing to amuse more of the gathered audience. He still had a whole dinner to get ready for in such a short time. He went straight to a clothing store, picked out a nicely tailored black suit, sparkling and with a rich fabrics. He got few more jewelries, before leaving the mall to go dress up for his dinner with the Mayor. Just as Mael was walking out of the mall, a figure crossed his path. Blair to be precise, blocking his way from walking off. “Your mother saw me today, warned me to stop chasing you around or following you guys.” He snorted, curving a little smirk. “Now the tides seems to be changing with you Blair, what do you want with me?” Mael asked, folding the clothes packaging he had with him into his arms that crossed over his chest, eyes peering out into Blair’s timid gaze.“We need to talk.”“About what? I’m kind of in a hurry.” He denounced, glancing down at his phone’s screen to check the time. He was now late for

Chapter Nineteen The glare he leveled Kyle brought cold essential chills into his system, his lips hanged apart, unable to finish the sentence he was initially making. Mark glanced at Kyle, shocked at the silence jacking his voice. “Did you just threaten him?” He was genuinely stunned, not expecting Mael’s dominating aura to fold Kyle up so quickly. Kyle is known for his fervency, loud and aggressive, he’s a big bully. Loves fighting, and never slides off a dare. Mark wasn’t expecting him to keep shut after Mael threatened him, in fact he was expecting more than the opposite. Mark anticipated him to carry out the threat on Mael, to be the one punching not standing there looking like a fool. “The same goes for you. Keep. My. Name. Out. Your. Stinky. Mouth.” He laid the warning, purposely pausing between words to emphasize his point. “Else you’re gonna lose some teeth.” He added with a shrug, shifting his gaze back on the elevator. “He’s not worth it bro. Fucking a rich woman and l

Chapter Twenty.“Mael you need to sit down and stay out of the conversation, this is between me and this uncultured thing of a waiter. How dare him disrespect you, talking to you in such manner. I’m not going to let him get away with it.” She huffed loudly, throwing her gaze off Mael as she resumed criticizing the waiter. “Marlys!” Mayor called in a scolding tone, absolutely irked by his daughter’s outburst on something so casual. “Stop this act of nuisance!” He cautioned strictly, eyeing her with a cold glare that had her crossing her arms in surrender, leeching off the waiter finally. “Apologies on her behalf for her being uncouth, it’s unlike her and I had no idea what got into her to behave like that today.” The Mayor set his sight back on Mael, who doesn’t look anything warm or friendly. “Unlike her to harass an innocent man? Just because he’s beneath her?” He raised his brows, masking a look of disbelief. “No no my dear, I wasn’t harassing him, I was correcting him. He was s
