Chapter 50: An Unexpected Surprise
"Was fun getting to know you guys..." "Yeah you too, man." Bull replied, as he gave Kyle a fist bump. "Will be seeing you around?" Snake Eyes said to Kyle telepathically. "Yeah, I think." Kyle said as he gave him a fist bump too. "I can't believe this is happening, man." Cat chipped in. "What's it been? Twelve years?" "Two years, Cat." Snake Eyes answered. "Two whole f***ing yea—Yo, don't do that! Feels like you're in my head." Cat shouted, still not used to Snake Eye's new dialogue technique. "It feels... gay." "But I am." Snake Eyes replied and everyone laughed. "How are you guys so comfortable with hearing him in your head? How am I the only one who finds it weird.m?" "Bro... You just have to chill out, and get used to it. Thanks to Sophie, I can communicate without having to sign to you guys or anyone else." !ah nah I definitely won't so see you all around who said yeah see you guys around "Try not to get left behind y'all." Chapter 51: Flash Back To The School Incident
"Brittany!" Kyle then woke up from his mild stupor. The girl he just pulled away from harm, now rushing toward the arachne. The girl stretched her arms to the side, summoning a set of daggers in each hand as she did so. "Let.. let go of her!" And while the arachne was busy devouring her friend, she stabbed it right in the neck. "...Kh." The arachne, however, still scemed completely alive as it very slowly turned its head toward the girl. "S..." The girl could not help but hold her breath; her legs, moving on their own as she stared at the blood dripping from the monster's mouth. "Krra!" "Eck!" The girl froze as the arachne shrieked, unable to move even as the monster stretched its hand toward her. Fortunately for her, once again, she felt herself being pulled away as Kyle grabbed her by the arm... again. "Move." This time, however, any gentleness in his touch was gone as Kyle kicked her away-with reason, of course, as Kyle also needed to push himself away from the
Chapter 52: En Route
At the large grounds where the entire field operatives of the Fourth Division stood, Lieutenant General Miranda Hernandez stood facing the crowd which consisted of not less than eighty people, as she took over the microphone from the Technical Unit. "200 years ago, the first Portal appeared in the then city of Rio De Janeiro, a city in Brazil. A large pit in the face of the Earth." General Miranda stated as she stood in front of the large screen which displayed maps and information. "And from these Portals, came mankind's worst nightmare—Monsters." Silence rained on the entire hall while she spoke. "This marked the start of what almost turned out to be the extinction of the human race." She added as she pointed at the screen while it displayed several images of destroyed cities, facilities, people, vehicles and animals alike. "From Brasil in South America to Chicago, USA in the North,, to Kyoto, Japan in Asia, to Lagos, Nigeria in Africa, to Vienna in Australia, to Madrid, Spai

Chapter 54: "Let's give em' hell..." {pt. 2}
"Ground teams are in place and ready to move at your command. You've basically got the entire ground units at disposal." Lieutenant Hailey Bell said over the radio as Kyle and his team approached the site. "Noted, Lieutenant." Kyle replied, almost shouting since the entire place was noisy. Kyle and his Squadron were currently headed on foot towards the Portal area, having landed their jet some distance away from the sealed off area. There was a lot of noise in the immediate vicinity that one had to speak very audibly before the next person could hear what he or she was saying. The loud noise was originating from Portal which was just some meters away. It seemed like there was some sort of large, noisy monster in down there. The portal had been detected the previous night by the natives of the area and had been reported to PIU, who in turn moved the case up to the Fourth Division. Southern Deteria was a small coastal area in Deteria, a very lively and bubbling city locate
Chapter 55: [MONSTER DETECTED...! CLASS: WYVERN]
Rapid Gunfire!* "Go left! Go left!!" Rapid Gunfire!* "Aim right!" Rapid Gunfire!* Suddenly there was a loud screech from the background, a painful yet intimidating one. "Come on, people! Shoot down that son of a b¡tch!!" Rapid Gunfire!!* "Fuckk! Bring in the K15!" Numerous footsteps were heard as soldiers scrambled to bring in whatever was requested. Swoosh!* "It's in the air!" Swoosh!* Swoosh!* "Here, Sir... Locked and loaded!" "Good! Now, aim!" Swoosh* "Aim!!" And for a moment, every was still. "Uhh.. where'd it go!?" "Right there. Fireee!!!" Someone ordered over the radio. The command was accompanied by the sound of an explosion, followed by a cry like shriek. Then after a few seconds, there was a heavy thud. "One down! One to go!!" The same voice which had been passing orders ever since, roared. This voice belonged to Lieutenant Griffin, and all of this where happening, while Kyle listened over the comms device in his ear. "The

"Eagle Squadron has arrived at the site, Ma'am, Sir." Lieutenant Hailey Bell informed. "Took em' long enough." An older, yet hoarse voice standing just beside Miranda responded. "Pull up satelite images." Miranda said. "I see..." "Hold on!" General Holbrook who spoke earlier, ordered and the Lieutenant immediately put whatever she was about to do on hold. "Zoom in on that one." He added pointing to the screen. Bell did exactly as she was told. "There," Holbrook said again, as he stretched his hands forward to grab one of the pads on the lieutenant's desk. After scrolling for a while, he finally spoke, but this time to Miranda. "He's the one, right? Your... golden boy?" "Yes, that's him." Miranda responded taking a glance at the pad to see the person being spoken of, just to be sure. "He's good looking, I'd give him that," he complimented. "Hope he pleases them." He said pointing at the group of high ranking government and military officials seated right behind them.
Chapter 57: The hell?
According to the data provided recently by the Fourth Division, the Arachnes which Kyle had encountered so far, were somewhat of a lower class compared to the monster in front of him. Since the revolutionizing of the Fourth Division and the announcement of Project Orion, the Division had introduced a new method to accurately rank monsters which appeared from Portals. This was possible due to the invention of Fortitude reading devices by Star Labs. Based on strength, threat and other factors such as possible damage a particular monster could cause, the Division was now able to differentiate between low level and powerful monsters. This was all summed up and termed as Fortitude. When compared to monsters like Arachnes, the Wyvern in front of kyle was nothing less than powerful. Arachnes were lesser creatures, but even at that, they were still formidable foes when faced. They were low level monsters which were capable of destroying cities and reducing populations, when they roamed
Chapter 58: That's more like it.
[Est. Speed: 77/100] [Est. Strength: 71/100] [Est. Damage Dealing Rate: 75%] [Fortitude: 7.5] The hell!? Kyle thought as he stared at the stats displayed before him. No wonder it's attacks came at an incredible amount of speed. And to think that the Wyvern standing before him hadn't even moved an inch— well, not actually an inch though. But... this thing was yet to attack him directly for some weird reasons he couldn't really understand. Kyle took a look at the Raid device on his left wrist once more and noticed that there was a message waiting to be opened. [IMPORTANT NOTICE!] Kyle wasted no time and clicked on the notification, and it displayed another. [NOTE THAT ALL THE ATTRIBUTES PROVIDED AND DISPLAYED ON THE SCREEN ARE ALL ESTIMATES AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE PROVIDED THE TARGET EXCEEDS THE CALCULATED NUMBERS!] "..." "Whoa!" Kyle couldn't help but exclaimed. So there was even a chance that the monster's attributes could exceed the already calculated stats?
