It had been a while since Rhys had recovered a decent amount of Ki, stamina, and HP. However, he chose to continue waiting...The fight between Stingè and the Aether Beast had progressed to a level where he couldn't possibly see what the outcome was. The two Tier 1 beings were moving so fast, he was having difficulty telling what was going on.The small limbs attached to the creature's sides made it so that the creature didn't just run very fast, it also could respond to attacks aimed at its blind spots quickly. That wasn't to say Stingè was losing badly. At the end of the day, because Stingè was smaller, he had better maneuverability. He could attack the Aether beast from anywhere. As the battle progressed, it turned more and more bloody. Rhys quickly saw that his initial verdict was wrong. At some point, Stingè's speed and strength had increased drastically. All Rhys could see at this point were sparks, and the shockwaves created by their clashes. Finally, after what seemed like an

Dull explosions came from beneath his feet as Rhys made use of {Wind Weaver} and {Burst Step} to chase after Stingè.The moment Stingè stopped, he didn't hesitate to send another {Hell's Nexus} his way. The thin line of concentrated Devil Essence and Ki cut through reality and made its way to Stingè.This time, the Demon didn't dodge out of the way. Instead, a massive amount of Ki swirled around the shaft of the spear. The attack was blocked cleanly.Rhys immediately dodged to the side when he saw this. No sooner had he dodged, than a massive cutting Ki slash was sent his way.He immediately made the choice to switch the {Scale of the Abyssal Flame} with {Maelstrom}. Drawing the bow into a full moon, he fired an arrow of compressed cosmic water. The magically charged projectile shot forward with the speed of a bullet towards Stingè. However, it was blocked by Stingè who wore a very cold expression, his eyes burning with fury and scorn.Rhys grinned slightly and fired a barrage of arro

Thanks to Stingè doing most of the work, all Cain had to do was land the finishing blow to put the already-weakened Aether Beast into the ground.Cain watched as the charred black flesh of the worm pulsed. He could vividly remember just how much fear had gripped his heart when he had first laid eyes on the creature. Now, that seemed like something of the past. The once mighty beast was now reduced to a hot pile of smoked flesh.'Tragic...'Stepping closer to the worm, a wave of heat hit him hard, causing him to pause. The area around the worm-like Aether Beast was still molten, so he couldn't get through to the worm.Complaining inside his head, Cain furrowed his eyebrows,'I don't want to wait any longer...'He was getting impatient, because, for all he knew, Stingè could be waiting for him when he got out. It was best to round up his business as fast as possible and get out of there. His mind quickly spun as he thought of what would help him best in this situation.'Hmm... Seems lik
