That morning Daniel woke up earlier than usual, his eyes puffy as if he had not had a good sleep. The truth was, he didn't actually have a good sleep throughout that night. Every time he slept he would have a nightmare, jolting up instantly in fright. Around 11:45am, the bell rang for lunchtime. Students who had begun yawning due to hunger (and boredom) immediately trooped out of the class like ants without being told to do so. It was a few minutes near closing and Daniel was already prepared to escape. Immediately the bell rang, he would make a dash for it.
