Stacy is very happy today, she has been working for a few weeks now, and she has been very happy. She is not the social media type, but the account that was made for her by Mister Devonté has been growing at a very high speed. He also told her that she is one of the most influential people he has ever worked with, even though she doesn't believe it. She has just modeled some simple high heel shoes for him, even though everyone advised him not to, because she was just a one-time viral sensation, but he refused to believe that. He taught her the basics and allowed her to be creative and she, in turn, trusted Devonté and his team, and the results were splendid. The shoes were sensational, and were sold out in four hours! Stacy runs to Gray's office to find him, when she gets the news. She keeps jumping up and down. “Hey! You will not believe this!” She tells her husband. “The shoes are sold out!” “Really?” Gray looks at the phone in her hand, as she shows him the evidence of the

Stacy steps on the brake so hard that Wendy is thrown forward, almost bashing her head in the process. “Hey, watch it!” “What do you mean we are going to the airport? I didn't plan on that today.” Stacy wonders. “Well, that's the sacrifice that a professional is supposed to make. You would have known that if Mister Devonté didn't give you all these free passes. You would have known if your had worked hard in your career.” Wendy mutters. Stacy takes out her phone and tries to call Mister Devonté. She knows that he is a very organized man, so if he wanted them to go on a trip for a shoot, he would have told her days ago. She is just about to dial his number when Wendy reaches out and snatch the phone out of her hands. “What are you doing, Wendy? I want to call Mister Devonté to confirm it.” “Calm down, Stacy, that's my problem with you. You are always ready to join into conclusions. Fine, I lied, Mister Devonté didn't ask you and I to go for a shoot, I was the one who decide

Stacy feels a sting of tears in her eyes and she almost bursts out crying. “Why are you doing this to me?” Stacy tries very hard to stop herself from crying. Wendy doesn't even have the smallest feeling of empathy for her. “You think your tears are going to fool me? Are they going to bring back my money and effort? If you don't get out of the car right now, I am going to fucking ruin you.” Wendy knows how effective this is, so she grabs her bag and catwalks away. She doesn't even need to look over her shoulder, she knows that Stacy has no other option than to come with her. Stacy drops her head against the steering wheel, she feels a little bit of tears pouring from the corner of her eyes. She can't keep on living like this. She will have to find a way to tell Gray, else this will always be held over her head. She wipes her tears and picks up her phone. She dials Gray's number and leans against the chair with her left hand over her face. The phone barely rings for a few secon

Wendy doesn't want Stacy to escape, that's why she booked a joint room for them. The scene from the window is very beautiful, it's overlooking the ocean and many people are having a good time on the beach. Not Stacy, she sighs as she drops her bag. The door opens and some food is brought in for them. “Wow, look at that.” Wendy says. “I'm giving you the princess treatment and you haven't even said thank you.” Stacy ignores her. She ignores the food too, because she has been feeling very weird lately. That's one of the reasons why she wanted to go to the hospital. Her pregnancy is going well, she is not even showing, her face is not puffy, she is even glowing, but the only down side of her pregnancy is the change of her appetite and eating habit. Gradually, she has been hating all the food in the house and nothing stays in her belly. She throws up many times a day, and this leaves her weak most of the time. Her body tolerates a cup of tea, and a small slice of bread with a littl

Stacy screams and shuts her eyes, hoping that this is nothing but a bad dream, but that doesn't work. She feels one of the armed men place his hand around her wrist and she opens her eyes, screaming frantically. At this point, the other girls wake up too and start to scream. The driver opens the door of the car and runs away, leaving the girls to their fate. Wendy is the only one who isn't screaming, in fact she is smiling. Stacy wonders what's going on, and why her cousin is so unbothered. “It's okay, girls, they aren't here for us. They are here for her.” Wendy whispers to the girls. The men look at the girls, studying their face as if they are looking for a specific person. “Who is Stacy Lance here?” Stacy shuts her mouth immediately. How do these scary men even know her name? She keeps her mouth shut, she hopes that the girls keep quiet too. Her first thought is that these men are kidnappers, but why would they want to kidnap her? She and Gray are barely getting by, so

Stacy is able to get her phone and as soon as she touches it, she dials Gray's number. She should have stood her ground with Wendy, she shouldn't have agreed to come to this cursed place…The phone rings for a while, but Gray picks up very quickly. “Hello, my love. I thought that you have gone to bed already? That's why I didn't call.” “Gray, I'm very sorry,” she sniffs. “There is a man with a gun here and… and he is threatening to shoot me if I don't tell him the name of the Mars. I told him that I don't know…” The man snatches the phone from her immediately. “Listen here, disgraced soldier. If you don't give me the information I want, I will blow your wife's brain all over the ground!” Stacy shuts her eyes and cries silently. Is this how she is going to die? Pregnant and as a hostage? Wendy laughs at the other side, she doesn't look bothered, not even a bit, even when her cousin is being held at gunpoint. “What's your name?” Gray asks calmly. “Yes, the one who has a gun point

The man dies right in front of them and Gray immediately gets back to Stacy, who has her jaw on the ground. She knows that her husband was once a soldier, but she has never seen him act like this before. He wipes his hands with a handkerchief, but that doesn't take all the blood out of his hands. He goes back to Stacy, goes down on his knee to touch her, but she winces. This breaks Gray's heart. He'd admit, he snapped and killed that man, but that's because he just found out that his wife is pregnant and the man almost cost her the pregnancy. “I'm sorry,” he whispers to her. “Come, I've got to take you out of here.” He picks her up from the ground, bridal style. “We will be home in an hour or two.” He looks at the remaining men, who are trying their hardest to run away from him. He would have dealt with them, but he has something more important to attend to right now. His pregnant wife…Wendy and the other girls take a few steps back once they see what he did. They are now all

Stacy chokes on her tears. She has made peace with the fact that even the pregnancy can't save her this time. She is bawling her eyes out, but even with that, she pushes herself to finish the story. “My father is a good man, I swear.” She sobs. “I just don't know why he would lead so many people astray like that. Many of those people were middle class and some of them committed suicide because their lives were now ruined.” She summons the courage to look into Gray's face and he looks calm. Why isn't he disgusted by her? Why isn't he telling her that he regrets this marriage? Why not tell her to pack her poor belongings, as soon as they get to the house, and leave?! “My father basically killed those people.” She says. “I come from a terrible family, Gray.” “That's not true. It was a very unfortunate incident, but it wasn’t your parents fault. They suffered too, your family died in debt.” He smiles at her, stroking her hair.“You– you're not mad at me?” She blinks. “Of course not

Argh! This cannot be happening! Wendy is not satisfied with sitting, she has to stand in front of the huge television and increase the volume to the maximum. She hopes that the newscaster is not reporting on what she thinks…“No,no,no,” she mutters under her breath. “Ladies and gentlemen, we got a very important tip about a story that was run years ago. It's the story about Mister Arthur Blanchard, and how he committed the biggest fraud in the country. Mister Blanchard tragically died with his family years ago, and we have some fresh news that supports that Mister Blanchard was innocent after all…” “Shit!” Wendy curses. How did this get out?! Who did this?! “Turns out that Mister Blanchard was working with five other members, who were founding his company as partners, but they also made major decisions, since they held bigger stakes in the company, and controlled the decision. Mister Blanchard was nothing but their pawn, and he innocently took the fall when the company collapsed

Wendy holds her hands over her mouth and let out a blood curdling scream. She is not screaming because Gray has just killed two more people in front of her, no, she is screaming because he has just soiled her expensive carpet with blood!“That's an expensive Persian carpet!” She yells. “What's wrong with you, Gray?!” “What the fuck, Gray!” Mateo shouts too. “Have you gone mad?” Gray moves the gun to face them, and they immediately freeze as soon as they see that. “Gray, don't.” Mateo raises both of his hands. “Maybe you should ask me if I am crazy again.” Gray says calmly. Wendy is now tongue tied. She has seen Gray use guns many times, and she knows that he can kill them if he wants. “Gray, please, don't do anything crazy. Please, you don't want to hurt us.” Mateo is not begging, he has a gun on him almost all the time– he even has one now– and he reaches to grab it, but Gray fires another shot. It leaves a smoking hole in the wall, very dangerously close to his face. Mate
