Gray Lance: Useless Son-in-law Is The Billionaire General

"General Mars, your position has been revoked!” the president boldly declares.

This causes all the soldiers to turn white with shock and look around at each other. Has the president of the country gone mad? How does he want to sack the most feared general in the entire military?!

General Mars is seated very calmly, he has not lost the smile on his face when the president has his shocking declaration.

“Oh, Mr. President. After I have single handedly ended this war, that's when you want to revoke my position? Do you even have a reason for that?” General Mars chuckles.

“Yes, General Mars, you are after all a corrupted fellow!” The president drops a heavy file on the table. “You have been accused of bribery, corruption in the military, organizing private guarding services, and betrayal of your country!”

Everyone looks around with their jaws on the ground. How dare anyone accuse the General of corruption?!

“I have shown you mercy by not throwing you into prison for your wrongs! You should bow down to me now and beg to be spared!”

General Mars knows that all of these are just lies being leveled against him, so he laughs and stands up to his feet.

He looks at the president, a smile on his face.

“So, what evidence do you have against me, Mister president?” General Mars asks.

“I am the president, Mars. That's enough evidence for you!”

Alice Yashin hits her fist angrily on the table and starts to her feet. “How dare this man accuse the General of being corrupted?! Wasn't you who came to beg the General two years ago with tears in your eyes to help get your daughter released from the kidnappers?! How dare you disrespect the General after he has been your savior in the past?! Are you trying to take away his honors?! Have you no shame?!”

Alice Yashin is General Mars' subordinate. She was a timid and fragile girl that was forced to enlist into the army because of her family's poverty, but Mars took her under his wings and she is now the best female assassin in the whole country.

She is the only one who is bold enough to stand and defend her boss against the president, but that just makes the president even angrier.

“Who have given this little mouse the audacity to speak to the president in such a disrespectful manner?!” The president blasts. “I will have you punished for this! All of your family members too!”

General Mars doesn't want anyone hurt on his account, so he raises his hand– a sign for Alice to keep calm.

The president won't sign the papers to officially end the war, if General Mars doesn't agree to his terms.

General Mars is a righteous man, but he loves the citizens of this country and wants the war to end already.

“What are you saying, Mister president?” He asks. “Tell me, I know that you want something. You will not sign the papers if I refuse you.”

The president laughs. “You are a very smart man, General Mars. I like that.” He nods. “I will forgive all the evil that you have done, all the corruption and disgrace that you have brought to this country, and I will also forgive your disrespectful subordinate… if only you drink what's in this bottle…”

The president is holding a very small bottle, the contents of the bottle is nothing but a clear liquid. It looks harmless, like water, but why is the president asking General Mars to drink this?

“What's this thing you are asking my boss to drink?” Alice asks with distrust.

“It's just medicine. It won't hurt him,” the president chuckles. “If General Mars agrees to take it, I will sign the papers to end the war immediately, and i will also allow General Mars to leave with his life.”

General Mars knows that the president is not being honest with him, but Mars laughs and takes the bottle from the president immediately.

Alice screams for him to stop, she doesn't trust the president, but General Mars pays no attention to her and drinks everything in the bottle.

The president starts to laugh hysterically as soon as General Mars drinks it.

General Mars looks down his hands and it dawns on him with great sadness that… he has suddenly gone blind!

The president has blinded him with the poison in the bottle! Now the greatest god of war is nothing but a blind man!

Alice screams with anger because her boss has been deceived. She can pull out her gun and destroy all these people right now, but she is completely surrounded.

About fifty soldiers are pointing their guns at her. She can't do nothing to avenge her boss' integrity right now! The military is even on the side of the corrupted president!

“Shame on you! Shame on all of you!” She yells at them. “You have destroyed the greatest General and reduced him to a blind man!”

General Mars, on the other hand, is calm, even though he has just lost his sight and been disgraced in front of all his subordinates, but even with all that, the corrupted president won't dare to kill him here.

He touches around Alice and calmly whispers to her. “This is not the end. Meet me in Silverview city, in three days.”
