Chapter 151: The Woman
Nathan was stunned seeing all this. He kept wondering how it was possible. Could they have been working on this for years?Soon, Nathan got to a stop as he walked out of the elevator. He walked to a specific place where a white door stood in front of him. He opened the door and got inside.Inside this room, there was only one computer. "Could this be what I'm looking for?" Nathan asked himself as he walked forward. He got to the machine, and just as he was close to it, his system automatically paired with the computer in front of him, started reading all the files inside as it loaded.Reading files...File loading...File successfully configured, and access has been granted.Nathan stared at the translucent screen as it prompted the message. The VOSS mechanical voice hacked into the computer in an instant even in its state of being off.Nathan began going through the files, and soon, he got to a section where an informant about the research they were doing was displayed wildly. They w
Chapter 152: My Plans
Seeing all this, Nathan was stunned, he wasn't expecting that to happen. It was massive; the room was being holographed somehow as camouflage, hiding all these things from being seen."Please, come have a seat. We have so much to discuss about, which could help in taking the Red Monac down," the woman said calmly with a soft grin on her lips. The woman and Nathan sat on a chair, Nathan's hands propped on the table. So did the woman, and they stared at each other for a moment before she took a deep breath before talking."This room is protected with high tech, invented by me. In fact, I was the one who had invented the shield surrounding this island entirely. So if you are thinking of us being spied on now, then you shouldn't, because the room is beyond anyone's reach," the woman explained."What is the Red Monac's true aim? What are they even planning to create?" Nathan asked as soon as the woman was done talking. "I had worked with the Red Monac for years, and that question is one
Chapter 153: Doctor Sandra
“The reason why I am helping you is because I am also kept hostage here. If I don’t find a way to move out of here, I will end up spending eternity here. So please, let me guide you through this, so with that I could find salvation out of here.”“And apart from that, this experiment I am working on is harmful, and I am scared that when it's released publicly, it will be dangerous to the human race," the woman explained, gasping at the end. Her expression was pale as she spoke. The seriousness in her words was real. If she didn’t stop what she was working on, the Red Monac group would take it all—not only conquering the government but also the world as well."So, what do you want us to do next?" Nathan asked, relaxing on the chair."As I told you earlier, I have a place where we all descend to. In there, you will retrieve the core and make a run," she explained again to Nathan, at which he nodded his head in agreement.Nathan was somehow concerned about the woman. She was so generous
Chapter 154: Red Eyes
Seeing the iron on Sandra's neck and how she had explained how it held her life of survival, Nathan gasped.“Who on earth could do such a thing? They literally take all of you here as animals, which they can control and manipulate.”"Wait!""If you work here as part of their tech inventors, why aren't you figuring out what exactly they used to construct the object on your neck so you can disarm it by yourself?" Nathan asked."No, it doesn't work that way. Even if I eventually look for a way to disarm it, I still have to look for someone who can work it on me. And even if I meet up with any other scientists, I might be turned away or, worse, maybe reported," Sandra replied."I don't blame my other colleagues, though. This place has a way of controlling people's minds, making whosoever has the 'no way out' device on his or her neck submit to them like gods.""Hmmmm." Nathan took a deep breath before exhaling."Who are 'they'? I would love to know. Is that man you were with earlier in th
Chapter 155: Supreme Rules and Orders
“There's a man that has invaded this private island, and I'm dumbfounded that none of you even noticed. The shield could have triggered a signal! Why the hell didn't anyone notice?” Kaizen yelled, slamming his hands on the desk as he grew more infuriated, his face aching in anger. "Sir, we didn't get any signal breaches from the shield, and we have been in surveillance all this while." The hall fell into a scene of argument as everyone tried to explain themselves, arguing that it wasn't their fault, and claiming that they hadn't seen any triggering alert from the shield of some sort of someone breaching it. Kaizen was the type of man who could kill anybody in the blink of an eye. Seeing everybody refusing to accept the fact that they w
Chapter 156: Nathan in Camouflage
Nathan, in his camouflage, assisted by Sandra, proceeded to an elevator that led to an underground facility where the core was, but it was heavily guarded by securities—up to a battalion. Before Nathan reached another elevator that led to the main section, Sandra looked pale as she suddenly paused in her footsteps. "What is it?" Nathan asked as he turned and looked at her. "But how could they find out so soon? I wasn't expecting them to know this yet," Sandra murmured with a sad expression, her face growing even paler. "What's the problem? Did anything happen?" Nathan asked again, but Sandra gave him deaf ears before shifting her gaze to him as she spoke.

Chapter 157: The Core
Nathan immediately froze, feeling her soft lips running over his. He wasn't her husband; he didn't even know her. But though, at some point, he thought of the lips being soft and needed more.Nathan got hold of himself after what had happened to prevent any suspicion from the rest of the armies around him."I will come over to the room once I am done," Nathan replied, trying to play along."Okay, baby, see you there," Ameera replied as she vanished from view.Nathan took a deep breath, gripping tight on his weapon as he stared more at the machine.".."The door bashed open as Kaizen walked inside in an unpleasant manner."Where are you, Sandra?" Kaizen said with an arched brow and a fuming face."Ooh, who's that?" Sandra's voice sounded from the bathroom as she walked out.The room in which Kaizen came in was Sandra's. In the facility, all the workers were given their rooms. Those who worked on the research were given special rooms—more advanced and well-arranged in comparison to the
Chapter 158: The Core 2
"You all are fools for thinking I'm that impostor standing in front of you," a voice sounded from the elevator as the door rolled open.Kaizen and the real Zorn stood, staring at all the soldiers. A glare of fright escaped the soldier's eyes. They were shocked to see Zorn and at the same time confused about the other person who looked similar to Zorn. Zorn was a very tough commander and wouldn't hesitate to put a bullet in any of his soldiers who tried to go against his rules.Zorn turned and looked at Kaizen, then nodded as they both walked out of the elevator.Zorn dragged on the cigarette that was in his mouth while walking forward. Only the terrifying look from Zorn made Nathan jerk a bit. Zorn was a monster; he had killer eyes, and that was the most frightening part about him. Nathan stood still as they both approached him."Sir, should we shoot the imposter down?" one of the guards beside Zorn asked as they passed forward.Zorn narrowed his eyes as he met the soldier who had j
Chapter 159: The Core 3
Kaizen took some steps forward, staring at Nathan. "All I want you to do is to answer my question. If you could tell me what I want to hear, then I promise not to hurt you. In fact, I promise to let you go," Kaizen spoke with a smile, trying to convince Nathan. Kaizen, at the same time, wanted to buy some time so that he could activate the machine in which Nathan was going to be trapped in.The machine was built for a unique purpose to protect the core—when anybody tried to take the core without the supreme permission of the Red Monac, the machine would automatically activate, trapping whoever sought the core, but in the case of Nathan, it was different. When restrained inside the cage, the machine from below emitted a kind of magnetic wave that would trap anybody inside the specified frame. But before that could take effect, the security system had to sense it. But in the case of Nathan, there was nothing detected. It was as if nothing even went off from the cage, it was as if the c
Chapter 160: The Core 4
“So, all this while, you have been against the Red Monac. I just hope they give you the punishment you deserve. Don't think because you are the mastermind of this project, they would let all you have done slide. You must be punished; if worst, death has rested upon you, just awaiting for it to take over," Kaizen responded with his voice high."Sir, we are taking too much time. We should take him down now," Zorn turned and said."No, not yet. We don't need to rush. I have a better plan. When it is the right time, we are going to release the Collasa to fight him. This man standing in front of us is something much greater. If we make a reckless move, we will end up losing all our lives," Kaizen replied."Hmmmm," Zorn gasped, then lowered his gun a bit."What's happening here? Why are there two versions of Zorn?" A voice sounded from the door's side. Zorn turned and saw that it was his wife, her expression pale and confused. "This isn't a safe place for you to be in currently. Exit this
