The throne room was in total silence. Each swordsman, mage, and conjurer of different creatures is all silent.Nira's father walked out of his seat. "I believe we all have seen what happened," he said, slowly looking at their faces."This is not the time the Earth Realm will be fighting demons and monsters."The throne room went into a frenzy mode with lots of them talking at once."Silence!" the king said in annoyance. "If you have anything to say, then you are going to wait your turn!"The room was silent once more."We all know how we managed to put the rebel demons in their place. This was possible with just one person whose Hakana was feared in the whole of the kingdom, and now he is dead." Gabriel said in anger. Many of the elders' gazes darted toward Dareth, who was silent. "What do we do now? I think we can either decide what we do next or we perish when the demons come knocking at our door."Gabriel said nothing but simply went back to his seat. The throne room was silent onc

Meanwhile, Kael was lost in his own world. Following the sound of the one who called him."Where are you?" Kael shouted as he ventured into the wilderness. His senses were on high alert as he walked. He could have sworn he had trained in this very forest he was walking, but everything felt strange, foreign to him."Kael...Kael..." the voice called out again.Kael stopped abruptly, not sure of where to turn. The road was now divided into three parts. "Where to now?" he asked himself with his gaze fixed on the paths.Kael heard the rustle of leaves behind him, and he turned. "Who is that?!" he yelled, only to turn and see a man standing in front of him."Who are you?" Kael asked, squeezing his eyebrows."Wrong question, kid." The old man, who could barely stand without the aid of his walking stick, replied. "Not who I am, but who are you?""Did you call me out here?" Kael asked, still looking back."I didn't, but your future did." The old man replied again. His gaze lingered on Kael. "Y

The moment Kael got into the throne room, they all kept quiet. He could see the harsh look on some of their faces. And most of all Dareth who had claimed to be his uncle. " Why am I here?" Kael said to the king who shifted uneasily in his chair. " Is this him?" Gabriel asked staring at Kael and wondering how a teenage boy could carry the burden of the whole kingdom. " And you had his Hakana locked?" Gabriel said with anger staring back at King Almond. " You do know this boy is our only hope of survival?" The throne room went into a frenzy mode again. Some of the elders siding with Gabriel while the others said they were giving too much praise to young Kael. " What about Dareth? Are you saying he is useless as the Swordmaster?" One of the mages asked and everyone looked at Dareth whose gaze was fixed on Kael. " If I remembered vividly, the demon didn't come for him. Instead he came for Kael. So, why should I bother about a full grown man when we should be worried about a boy

All the mages all stood up. The Swordmasters and even Gabriel wanted to see what Kael was capable of doing."Do you think you can get away with it?" Jarvis said with anger."You killed him, and you think you get to live a life of peace? You are either going to die where you stand, or you are going to fight me!" Jarvis said angrily, and without waiting, he launched.Everyone waited for it. The thought that Kael was going to tap into his Hakana was what they anticipated. But to their surprise, he simply moved, and Jarvis missed."What is he doing?""Is he really the one?""Or the beast wanted revenge for what was done to them by this father.""If you are not going to lift up your hand and fight me, then you are going to die where you stand!" Jarvis shouted yet again.Kael stood still, his cloak rustling slightly as Jarvis skidded to a halt, eyes wild with disbelief. The entire hallroom, once filled with anticipation, now simmered with confusion."He dodged that?" one of the Swordmasters

Nira words kept ringing in Karl's ears as he laid on the makeshift bed. The thought of accepting what the council wanted crossed it mind. What will happen if he has his power unlocked? Was he was demon when he had his Hakana?Or were they all exaggerating?Kael looked at his body again and he could see he markings. The ruins, the dots and the connection tohis chest. Kael remembered how he was called by the forest. There was something ancient about it. Some intriguing and calling out to him. Kael felt at peace the moment he stepped into the deep forest. It was like the forest was like his home. Kael remembered the path he saw and the mysterious old man who was talking to him about his future. Kael was taken back wondering what the old man knew that he didn't. Master Harond had told him the truth. He was not his father but still he refused to get his Hakana back. He knew with his Hakana back to place, remembering who he really could come to him easily. Kael roles gently on his bed
Chapter thirty seven
As Nira and Kael kept running into the darkness, Kael couldn't stop thinking about Harond. The little time they had spent together meant alot to him. " Stop." Kael shouted stopping. " I can't leave him all alone by himself." he said with tears dripping down his face. " Yes you can,Kael. There is nothing you can do to help him. Master Harond is not who he is anymore. He is marked. He is a demon now!" Nira said breathing heavily. " You don't call him that!" Kael said with anger. " He is all I have." " You need to face reality, Kael. I know you don't want to get involved in all of this but you are already caught in the cross fire. The demon won't stop coming at you and that includes your so called precious father. He is a demon now and the next time you are seeing him, he won't be the father figure you think he is. He is going to be another demon who wants you dead." Nira said quicky. Her eyes darting back and forth " You are going to respect the man he is. I don't care wh

Kael fell to the ground wondering where he was. " Where did hell is this? Send me back! I need to save him." Nira tried to get up but she was hurt. The demon had slashed a part of her arm. She winced in pain as she grabbed Kael's arm. " Do you really want to die? Don't you cafe about your life? About the kingdom?" she yelled in anger. Kael flinged her hand off him. " And why do I need to care, huh? Why do I need to save and care about people who don't care about me? Master Harond is the only person that do. The only one who knows and sees my pain while the rest see me as a threat. The king wants me gone as Dareth..." Kael stuttered for a bit not sure of that to say. " Then get your memories back. That is the only way you will be able to know you enemies." Nira shouted her arm bleeding out on the green grass she stood on. " I don't want too. All I want is for you to send me back!" Kael shouted. Nira smirked, " Funnily, I don't even know how to do that. My powers activate itself wh

" Make it stop!" Kael shouted while Nira walked up to him trying to grab his hands. " You need to let go, Kael. That is the only way you can welcome what you father has to say to you." She said calmly " We didn't just land here Because I wanted too. You brought us here. This is your world, Kael." Nira said gently. " I need it to stop. He is killing him. Make it stop." Kael shouted again. The sky changes color while Kael kept on shouting in anger. Nira tried to hold him again but what she saw made her back off. The energy Kael was releasing was way too much. His Hakana was fighting so hard to come out but Kael was not strong enough. Whatever Elira did to his body had weakened it. " Your body is not strong. It is fighting the Hakana." Nira said from where she stood watching Kael. " I don't want it. I want it gone!" Kael shouted. Nira looked at him and all she could see was a boy who was broken by what he had seen. She realise she needs to take them out of wher

"Kael." Nira called out gently. "Are you alright?" She asked, placing her hands gently on him. "I know you are hurting now, but you need to calm down and let us focus on what is more important.""What is more important? Did you just say that after everything you saw? Do you really wish I wanted all of this? I was going to live a normal life, just like my father did." Kael said, looking at Nira with tears."All I ever asked for was a family of my own and also to be a renowned swordmaster. Just like my father, but Dareth stole everything from me." Kael said with his hands clenched in anger.Nira arched her eyebrows. "I know he did, but do you want that world to burn for that? Don't tell me you don't have any humanity left inside of you."Kael said nothing but simply walked into the woods. Nira jogged after him as he walked, but Kael stopped abruptly and looked back. "You don't need to come after me. I am not running. I am sure your father must be worried by now. Go to him," he said with

The wind blew gently with Kael remained seated on the fallen log long after the old man disappeared into the thicket of the woods. The words the man had spoken circled in his head like vultures waiting for him to fall. Possessions? What did he mean by that? Kael hadn’t lost anything material no armor, nothing of significant value besides the one thing he tried to bury deep inside himself. His identity. “Your possessions…” Was the old man referring to his Hakana? Kael rose slowly, brushing the dried leaves from his trousers as he glanced up at the sky. The sun had begun to sink behind the treetops, bleeding hues of amber and crimson into the forest canopy. Shadows crept along the floor, long and misshapen. The weight of silence clung heavily to him, yet his thoughts roared louder than any battlefield. His mind confused about what the future holds for him and if he was truly the saviour of the realm. Kael remembered the old man had been talking in parabales. Will he event
