CHAPTER ELEVEN
CHAPTER ELEVENOver in the fancy corner of the private room, Kelvin was in a right panic! His fingers flew across his phone screen as he called every friend he knew, but it was like they'd all suddenly gone on a silent retreat. Not a single one could lend him any cash. The restaurant boss, a stern-looking man who'd seen it all, watched Kelvin with narrowed eyes. Seeing no money was forthcoming, he gave a subtle nod to two burly security guards who then casually positioned themselves by the private room door, effectively blocking any escape. It was clear: no payment, no exit."Oh, sweetie, you've got to think of something, and fast!" Sabrina hissed anxiously at Kelvin, her eyes darting nervously at the two human mountains guarding the exit."I'll... I'll call my dad and ask him to send some money," Kelvin mumbled, his voice dripping with frustration. He'd pictured this evening going so differently, and now, in front of his classmates, he felt like a prize fool."Hmm, I think I need to
CHAPTER TWELVE
CHAPTER TWELVE Austin had just sent the money to Scarlett. He looked at his phone. Ten whole minutes went by, but it was like watching a paint dry! Usually, people would send a quick message or text right? But not Scarlett. Austin scratched his head. He opened his app store on his Apple phone. "He might as well see what all the fuss is all about with screen touch phones.” he thought. He started downloading some apps, and guess what popped up? TikTok! Once TikTok was done downloading. beep boop whizz! Austin opened it. His eyes went wide like saucers. The third video he saw? His next-door neighbor, Scarlett! "No way!" he mumbled. Was she one of those TikTok famous people? He didn't have anything else to do, so he looked closer. Oh! She was live right now. Curiosity got the better of him, so Austin tapped on her live stream. Scarlett was singing! And not gonna lie, her voice was really, really good. Like, surprisingly good. Plus, she looked nice, and you could see she had a
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
CHAPTER THIRTEENScarlett had been a content creator on TikTok for a while, but her streams were, to put it kindly, as exciting as watching paint dry. Sure, she had a pretty face, but beyond that, it was mostly just… well, her face. Unlike other TikTokers, she didn't chase after the wealthy viewers, and frankly, she rarely received any gifts. So, when that colossal lion gift popped up on her screen, it was like a UFO landing in her living room.Scarlett’s eyes practically popped out of her head. She blinked, rubbed them, then blinked again. Was this real life? Her viewer count, which had been trickling down faster than a leaky faucet, suddenly shot up like a rocket.“Holy guacamole! A gift worth over three thousand dollars?” she gasped, though no one on the stream could hear her.The comment section exploded. “Is this Scarlett’s sugar daddy?” “’A. Jok’ who the heck is that?” Everyone was buzzing, trying to unmask the mysterious gifter. Austin, watching from his phone, smirked. He wasn
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
CHAPTER FOURTEENAustin walked into Scarlett’s apartment, feeling like maybe he had thought too much. Scarlett had already set up her small dining table with food. “Why did you suddenly ask me for dinner right now?” he asked softly.“I guess I was just in a good mood today, so I thought about sharing dinner with someone. I don’t really have any friends close by, so I just thought of calling you over,” Scarlett replied happily with a big smile. She sat down and then told him about what happened during her TikTok live video a while ago. Austin listened carefully, sometimes pretending to be surprised. Scarlett had no idea that the very kind person who sent her so many gifts was him.“I honestly still wonder who ‘A. Jok’ is. How old he might even be,” she said out loud, nibbling on her chicken wings.“Maybe a rich guy,” Austin said in a relaxed way.“Of course, that guy is super rich! Otherwise, he wouldn’t just send someone like me so much money. You know what… even though I never expect
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
CHAPTER FIFTEEN Meanwhile, in a private room, a few young men were lounging on the couch, the sound of clinking glasses and loud laughter filled the air. Sabrina, Georgina, and Ariana, however, sat huddled on the far end of the couch, their bodies a collective shiver of nerves. The air around them felt thick with unspoken dread, a simple understanding of the carefree atmosphere of the men. This whole mess, surprisingly, hadn't started with Ariana or Georgina. The blame, if you could call it that, lay squarely with Sabrina. She’d had a rather spirited disagreement with someone yesterday, which ended with a rather bad end. But because the three of them were a package deal at the time, the offended party had simply scooped them all up. A "buy one, get two free" kind of situation, if you will, though definitely not the fun kind. Sabrina was practically radiating in regret. If she'd known the person she’d bumped (or perhaps launched) into yesterday was someone with actual connections
CHAPTER SIXTEEN
CHAPTER SIXTEEN The phone rang. Austin picked it up."Hello, Austin," a voice said. It was Ariana. Austin knew her voice well enough."What do you want?" Austin's voice was cold, like ice."Austin, I know this call is a surprise," Ariana said. "But I need your help. I need six thousand US dollars very, very fast. Can you please help me?" Ariana hated asking Austin for money. She really didn't want to, but she had no other choice."And why should I help you?" Austin asked. His voice was still cold."Uh..." Ariana was shocked by his question. She bit her lip. "I know you just broke up with Sabrina, and you're sad. But I promise, if you help me today, I can be your girlfriend. I can be even better than her. You know what? I've never even dated anyone before. And I'm just as pretty as Sabrina.""Let me get this straight," Austin said. "You want to be my girlfriend?" He chuckled. It was a short, sharp sound. Then he sighed. "Do you think you are good enough to be my girlfriend?”"Austin,
CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
CHAPTER SEVENTEENDante watched Austin with a hard look on his face. Austin didn't seem like he wanted to lick Dante's shoe and that was pissing him off. Dante said, "Are you deaf? I told you to lick my shoes, didn't I?"Austin tried to stay calm. He said quietly, "I gave you the money they owed. Can I take them away now?" Austin didn't want to tell Dante who he really was. He tried not to fight with Dante about his behaviour towards him earlier. But he knew Dante wanted him to lick his shoe.Dante said, "Didn't I just tell you clearly? Lick my shoes first, then you can take them!" Austin knew Dante didn't want to let Ariana or Georgina go easily. Both girls looked very good. And chances like this didn't happen often. Dante was making things hard on purpose. Even if Austin licked his shoes, Dante would probably find another way to shame him.Georgina yelled, "Austin, why are you just standing there? Can you just lick them so we can leave?" She was very worried that they might not leav
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN Ariana froze the moment Austin told her to undress and strip naked. Fear flickered in her eyes, making them wide and scared. Even though she'd always had boys around her at school, deep down, Ariana was very traditional. Her good looks and figure made her proud that boys wanted her, but surprisingly, she'd never had a boyfriend. So, the thought of undressing in front of a guy felt incredibly embarrassing and insulting. Worse, it wasn't just any guy; it was Austin, the one she looked down on the most. She couldn't even imagine how she would face him in the future if she truly ended up in bed with him today. "You don't want to take off your clothes, huh?" Austin’s voice was calm, almost bored. "Then I'll just go find Dante and get my money back… he can come find you." Seeing Ariana standing still, Austin began to walk towards the door. "Wait… I'll do it, okay?" Ariana quickly grabbed his arm, biting her lip as she spoke. "Alright then." Austin stopped and tur
