CHAPTER NINETEEN

“Your shoes are dirty?” Dante repeated, he just couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He paused for a moment, trying to make sense of what Austin had just said. When it finally clicked, a small, almost unnoticeable smirk formed on his face, and he slowly walked toward Austin.

Nearby, Antonio squinted, staring at Austin. He was as well confused, wondering why this kid had come back.

“Did you just say your shoes are dirty, kid?” Antonio asked, his eyes fixed on Austin with a challenging look.

“That’s exactly what I said,” Austin replied with a slight nod.

“Everyone, he says his shoes are dirty. What should we do about it?” Dante said, his voice loud. Instantly, nine of his men rushed toward Austin. This time, Antonio didn’t stop them. The men quickly formed a tight circle around Austin, trapping him.

“Young Master just told you his shoes are dirty. Why are you all surrounding him like that?” A new voice cut through the air. Samuel Ted stepped into the room. Antonio, wh

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR “Angela, did this guy bully you?” Nathan’s voice boomed, sharp and demanding.Angela froze, her eyes darting between Nathan and Austin. The silence stretched for a moment before she slowly shook her head. She felt a knot in her stomach. Being taken advantage of by Austin earlier was humiliating enough. Now, letting a nobody like him use her to pick a fight would just make her the school joke. Besides, what would an apology from Austin even change? It was better to just drop it.“Are you sure?” Nathan asked, sounding a little confused. “He really didn’t do anything?”“No. It’s fine. Let’s just go.” Angela shot Austin a look of pure disgust, then turned and walked away.Nathan narrowed his eyes at Austin. “Today’s your lucky day,” he snarled, a venomous edge to his voice. “But I promise, I’ll deal with you when I have the time.” He spun around and followed Angela. After watching them leave, Austin pulled out his phone. He had a sudden urge to call Samuel Ted and hav

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE“That’s right. You have to do this. You're just an ordinary guy now, remember? You can't let Miss Fiona know who you really are. So, for now, you're going to be the live-in son-in-law for the Lawrence family," Xavier said, his voice flat and steady on the phone.Austin's face fell. "What?! A live-in son-in-law? You've already got me marrying her, and now this? Isn't that a bit much?" Austin's frustration was clear in his voice."It's all in the will," Xavier explained. "The old chairman wrote it all down. You didn't read the papers closely enough.""What was he thinking? Why is getting money so complicated? If I had known, I never would have agreed to any of this!" Austin was close to losing it."So, you're giving up?" Xavier's tone was sharp, almost a challenge.Austin froze. He hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth. "Fine," he mumbled. He had gone from having nothing to being a Trillionaire in one day. There was no way he was giving that up. "So when ca

CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO"Do you think I have a good figure, Austin? I still can’t believe the fact that you told me that you were at my balcony for that long because you sighted a thief."Zelda's question hit Austin like a bucket of ice water. He froze, his mind racing. What was she exactly driving at? Was she trying to manipulate him?"Answer me. Do you think I have a good figure?" she asked again, her face impossible to read.Austin took a deep breath. "I swear, I didn't see anything," he said, his voice a low rumble. He meant every word."The point is, I didn't see anything!" he repeated, feeling his frustration grow. Zelda was really getting to him."Fine, all right," Zelda said, her tone suddenly calm. "I have a friend who's opening a bar in a few days. They haven't found any good staff yet. You've been working part-time, right? How about you work there for a while?"The old Austin would have said yes in a heartbeat, and been so grateful for the offer. But things were different now. A

  • CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONEAustin was sweating so hard, his face flushed and his heart hammering very hard against his ribs. He was still hiding on Zelda’s balcony, frozen with fear. He never thought she would come back so suddenly. And now she was getting undressed. He was in a total panic. His mind was a mess. Should I just show myself? Or keep hiding? If he stepped out now, there was no way to explain why he was hiding on her balcony. But if he stayed hidden and she took off all her clothes, he would feel like a total creep. He wrestled with the decision, the sound of fabric rustling from inside filling his ears. He couldn't be sure if she was naked or not, but his eyes, almost against his will, drifted toward the open sliding glass door. Her white shirt came off, and he saw her skin. It was so smooth. She wasn’t just pretty; she had a perfect body. The lacy lingerie she was wearing made her curves look even more incredible.Austin couldn't help but take a deep breath. This was the second

CHAPTER TWENTY The moment they stepped out of the building, fresh air from the environment hit them both. Austin shivered a little, pulling his jacket tighter. Beside him, Samuel Ted looked around, his eyes sharp and alert, scanning the street."Chairman, are you okay with how things went back there?" Samuel's voice was a low murmur, barely audible over the distant hum of traffic. "If not, I can make a few calls. I've got people who can teach Dante Fonte a lesson he'll never forget."Austin shook his head, a small, calm smile on his face. "Dante? I heard that he's just a small-time thug. We don't need to waste our precious time on him. He's not worth it.""You're right, sir." Samuel nodded, a faint light catching the expensive watch on his wrist. "So, should I drive you back to your destination?""No, that's not necessary," Austin replied, his gaze drifting to Samuel's sleek, expensive black car parked around the corner. The vehicle looked like it cost a lot. "Your car is a bit too f
