Leon feels the crushing weight of all of this heavy on his chest. It's too much information all at once. He has been through so much tragedy in his life, that he can't believe that his fortune has suddenly changed. He doesn't believe that he is Shankly's lost heir. It takes a heavy toll on him, that he finds himself staggering back to the bed, and Helen rushes to help him. “Come on, Leon, please be careful,” she holds onto his arm. “Argh, Miss, please. I don't want to stain your expensive clothes with my blood.” He winces. “Please,” she snorts. “How does that matter when you are my brother?” She performs a few examinations, to know that he is not in any real danger, then she leaves the doctor to administer the rest of the drugs to him. Leon needs help immediately. Not only physically, but in many aspects of his life. Thinking about all the trauma he has experienced in his life, she finds herself at the very brink of tears. Helen is a doctor, she has a deep background in ps

Helen Shankly's car is the nicest that Leon has ever rode in his life. He is not used to the cool conditioning, so he runs his hands against each other. Helen faces wrinkles with amusement. “Do you want us to turn the air conditioning off?” Leon sniffs with embarrassment. “No, it's fine. I'm just reacting from the medicine.” She nods with understanding. “I understand that you are still recovering, and all, but I just want you to visit our family home. Do you know that mum gave birth to you right in our mansion? Dad hired the best doctors to make the birth safe for both of you.” She says. Leon forces a smile, even though it feels so awkward for him to be discussing the biological parents that he doesn't even remember their faces. Helen notices it, so she quickly changes the topic, maybe it's not the right time. She brings out her phone and finds a picture that they took, all three of the Shankly sisters. “Here, we are your sisters.” She shows him the picture. “This is me, Helen

Leon has never felt this beaten down by life. Not when his adoptive father died, not when Selina practically spat in his face. A few drops of tears roll down his cheeks as he realizes that his mother is about to slip out of his hands. He has lost his biological mother, he won't lose his adoptive mother too. Not even the devil will be able to take her away from him. He wipes his eyes with the back of his left hand and lifts the phone back to his ear. “Listen to me, mum. You are not going to die. I am going to get the money right now, and you will get the treatment.” He assures her. His mother chuckles painfully at the other side. “My poor boy, don't you understand? Mrs Xavier cancelled it a few weeks before, and has been giving us fake cheques. That means that I have exhausted any chance to get treatments on loan. I have to pay that off, before they even consider giving me a bed.” “I will get the money!” Loen quickly declares, surprising himself. “Hold on for me, I

When they get to Love hearts hospital's parking lot, Helen turns off the car. “I can't thank you enough, Miss Shankly.” Leon bows. “Thank you for saving my life today. I owe you.” Helen's hands tighten around the wheel. “You don't have to thank me for anything, Leon. This is what big sisters do. Just promise me one thing, okay?” Leon shifts on his seat. “Sure, Miss Shankly. I will do anything you want.” She rolls her eyes. “I want you to first of all, stop calling me ma'am, Miss Shankly, all of that! I might be someone important to everyone else, but I am just your big sister, okay?” Leon snickers. “Alright. What's the second?” She turns to make sure that she is looking him in the eyes. “I want you to promise that you will call me if you need anything. Okay?” Anything? Leon feels a tight pain behind his throat. He needs some money to handle his mother's hospital bill immediately, but he can't bring himself to ask his sister. His adoptive parents didn't bring him up to take

Leon doesn't understand what is happening, but now he has seen that the mysterious woman has started to take charge of the situation. Whoever is on the phone with the receptionist seems to be a very powerful person, because the receptionist is no longer hostile. She puts a call through and immediately, a stretcher comes and his mother is picked from the ground. “Oh Lord, thank you!” Leon clutches his chest with relief. “Thank you, Rochelle, for having mercy upon me.” Rochelle, the receptionist, bites down her lips in fear. She bows to Leon deeply, he is totally taken aback by this. “I'm sorry for treating you very rudely, Leon. I had no idea that you had connections in this hospital. Forgive me.” Leon is dumbfounded, but before he can open his mouth to ask her what she is talking about, the mysterious woman comes and gives him another smile. “Are you alright, Mister Leon? Please, tell me if you need anything and I will call someone to get it for you.” Leon's words tumble over

Leon is very lucky to catch a taxi as soon as he gets out of the hospital. He has his last money in his pocket, that's what he is going to use to pay for this trip. As soon as he gets in, he takes out his phone and puts a call through to Selina. Thankfully, she picks up almost immediately. “Argh, you are so annoying! What do you want, Leon?! Haven't I told you to leave me alone?!” She barks. The driver of the taxi looks into the mirror, a little embarrassed that he is hearing the conversation. “Look, Selina, I don't want any trouble. I know that you gave me fake cheques, and I have forgiven you for that. I am coming by the house to get some money for my mother's treatment. If you don't pay me, then my mother will die and I will be in debt!” Selina fakes a gasp of surprise. “You mean I will be able to get rid of the two most annoying people in my life?! I can't wait to finally get rid of you and your mother!” Leon digs his fingers into his eyes. “Selina, I don't want to fight wit

Selina ends the call with a look of triumph on her face. She can't believe that silly Leon even thought of calling her. She has just stepped out of the house in the most beautiful dinner dress to see someone very important. It's not very easy to get a booking at the twelve wines, but Damien knows a lot of people…She gives her hair a little pat as she catwalks back to the table to join Damien and his sister, Helen Shankly. “Sorry, one of my workers just called me. Nothing serious.” She smiles as she sits. “No worries,” Damien kisses the back of her hand. Helen smiles brightly at them, squinting her eyes. “Oh, Damien, look at you all in love again.” “Yeah, I told you and the twins that I was going to change my ways. I'm done being a playboy now, I'm going to make our parents proud by getting married!” Helen nods as she takes a sip from her cocktail. “I'm happy for that, brother. And Selina…” Her eyes wanders to the left. Selina immediately sits up and puts on an air of innocen

Inside the car, Selina brings down the mirror and checks if her lipstick is perfect around the edges. She hears Damien and his sister arguing, but she only shrugs and minds her business. The sister is like a diva, she can tell. She is a doctor and would probably prefer for Damien to marry someone who is also a doctor, but here she is. After a while, Damien gets into the car and drives away, leaving his sister behind in the smoke. “Your family doesn't like me, huh?” “How can you say something like that? Is it not my sister that gave you the very injection that made you wake up from your coma?” Selina folds her hands and pouts. “Just tell me the truth, Damien. Why would she look at me like that? Is it because I'm not a doctor? I have a degree in fashion!” “Stop worrying yourself, you are going to be my wife, and that's final.” Damien tells her. Selina believes him. He has come back after three years to give her back her health, of course he is very serious about marrying her.

Damien lied to both Selina and his sister. He doesn't have a meeting with anyone, instead he goes to the most dangerous part of the city. Gerald road is the name of one of the oldest parts of the city where bad things take place. At night, prostitution, gambling, stabbing, and all sorts of things happen. Unknown to his sister, Damien, in his attempt to find more exorbitant things to do with his life, fell into a terrible trap. That's why his hands are greasy with sweat as he drives slowly down Gerald street. He sits a group of men smoking, and he immediately wets his lips in anxiety. He turns off the engine of the car and gets out. Dante, the leader of the clique, looks up with a squint. “Yo, yo, yo, look who is here!” Dante laughs as he looks around. “It's the heir of the Shankly dynasty! What's the prince himself doing here?” Damien is careful not to get too close, and he is very scared of Dante. “Hey, Dante, I got your message. Our discussion is not something to be had over

For the first time in a few days, Leon feels like a heavy stone has been rolled off his back. It's not like his life has suddenly turned better, but because he knows that his mother is not going to be in danger of death for at least a year, so he can breathe fine till then. He pays the taxi driver and slowly starts to walk back to the hospital. The sun is rapidly going down, and the hue of the sky has turned to a warm orange. Leon gets to the door, and Rochelle, the receptionist, is standing by. Leon blinks once he remembers how he almost knelt down to beg her, but now, she avoids his gaze with respect, and bows deeply to him. “Mister Leon, please, our director wants to meet you.” She says. Leon has barely opened his mouth when a young doctor walks towards him with the brightest of smiles. Leon is starstruck as soon as he sees this. When others consider movie stars to be their idols, Leon's are doctors, and one of them is standing in front of him! “Hello, Mister Leon, my na
