Being The Hero You Never were
"If I'm going to leave this world behind, I'll leave it living happily with my family here. Hell, I want my last memories here to be happy, slow and beautiful." In that moment, he knew what he wanted. He stepped forward, intending to see the forest, whether there were things he left untouched there. In that minute, the interface appeared before him, stopping him from proceeding further. He stopped, reading it as it relayed the message to him. [Mission Complete: Settled unfinished business][Level Objective Completed][New Level: 70][Current Rank: B rank]He shook his head, the system really was still an active part of his life even when it told him it wouldn't be. He knew he would still need the system, but the mission? It felt like the system suddenly decided to help him, and that was unusual. The system didn't do such unless there was a catch that came with it. He turned in the direction that led out of the forest. He didn't feel the need to proceed deeper inside when he already
Titans
Ladus was beautiful as ever, rays of the sun hitting the forest bordering the town. The breeze blew gently against David, caressing his face as he projected towards the place he called home. He had missed the place, even with him being away for just a day. All he hoped was to reconcile with them and tell them he wanted to make the most of the memories he would make with them. They were family, and that was something he didn't have in abundance outside the game. All he had were his girlfriend and father. Maybe Sarah's father could be an addition, but they weren't that close. He piled forward, his eyes peering towards the town. He could see the little activity there. Children straying out to the former town, playing games and exploring the little forest Audrey had somehow created between a desert and an civilisation. He waved back at the kids who waved at him, cheering the hero responsible for them being alive and healthy till date. He shook his head and smiled. He never wanted to be
Dana Arkadion… The last one to kill a Titan
Audrey watched as the beast she talked took a sharp then in the forest, veering into a closed space. She paused, knowing it already sensed she was hunting it. It was huge, the sharp end of it's robust tail disappearing into the darkness. She could have just used her abilities to sense it, fish it out, but she didn't. According to David and Dana, she was a hero, and heroes had to learn how to use their basic abilities to solve problems. One such problem was the Gholeb.…A beast that terrorised the the people of Ouer… her hometown. She had not been there in a year since David rescued her from her abusive father. She had recently felt the need to go somewhere, to experience what her birth town was from a fresher perspective. Accompanied by Dana, it hadn't changed much, it was still a busy town, with people living their lives, minding their business. However, they had an issue… the Gholeb. It came during the day, terrorising them as it kidnapped their children, maimed their people and car
PTSD
The sun burst a high radiance upon the kingdom of Titanos, the capital kingdom of the Kingdom of Titanos. The people brimmed with life, proceeding with their regular activities. A young lady, dressed in a silk gown displaying royalty stepped out of house, taking every second to feel her new earrings that gleamed brightly under the sun, the rays complimenting the glitter of gold. As she stepped forth, Dana approached from the side of the House, staring at her sister. She admitted the way Merisa took joy in her looks, fashion was a priority for her. After all, she was a princess the second and last daughter of the king of Titanos. She had been angry at her mother earlier for chastising her love for war, battle and adventure, leading into another fall out between mother and rebellious sister, however seeing her sister gave her joy. As she made to approach her sister, and explosion suddenly occured, flooding her environs with mist. Her eyes widened, shock and surprise filling her up. S
Infiltration
Scar emerged from the tall skyscraper, dressed in a grey shirt with brown pants, both complementing his sneakers and sunshades. He was undercover, although with a mission. He had a backpack strapped behind him, containing the delicate 3D projector which was the pivotal part of his day's mission. He, as soon as he got to the corporate organisation, had been briefed on his role during the fake heist, one of the most pivotal roles. He was going to be the finisher, the final puzzle piece. He wondered why he was chosen to be that. Perhaps his history background as a former Navy SEAL and anonymous agent for both the UK and the US were the reasons for that. However, all he knew was he had fate smiling on him. He was exactly at the point he needed to be. All he had to do was go with the plan, both the organisation's and his's. He stepped inside the taxi already ordered, an unknowing player in the game. The corporation couldn't afford their agents being seen together, so him being the centre
Titanos
It had been a day since Elias crashed at Ladus, alerting them of the impending danger from Titanos. In that one day, Dana had to relive a traumatic experience she had tried so hard to forget for years. Bound by duty, she had no choice but to help Titanos. It was her home, her heritage, her life. She was responsible for it, and just had to do something for the sake of her birthplace. It had been a day, and she was geared up, ready to defeat the titans ravaging her home. Behind her were Elias, who was also duty bound, David, Colleen, Meena, Audrey, Eder and Zeddicus who all insisted on following after her.She had initially refused, her question being, "If you guys decide to come with me, who would stay behind and protect Ladus when there's danger?"David stepped up and responded, "The Fae. They're magical, Audrey gave them some sort of boost and they're also good combatants. Ladus is safe. And if push comes to shove, Audrey does her instant teleportation there and gets things done."
Welcome to Titanos
Elias trembled as the Titan spoke, his legs feeling like jelly. The thought of him melting, quickly seeping into the ground flashed in his mind, a repeated idea with each second. He stepped back, unable to speak. His heart pounded fast and he stumbled backwards, landing against Eden's Hard Frame which was behind him. Eden, just like he was, was equally shocked at the sight of a Titan. The monstrosity was one such he had never seen before. And the fact that it spoke, displaying intelligence equal to mankind was worse. He had always wanted to fight beasts and monsters, and this one seemed beyond the line. It was different. All that was in a matter of seconds, as the Titan lunged at them again. They all jumped away once more, avoiding it's life crushing impact. Coated in the dust that flooded the area afterwards, they all managed to get up, dusting off the dirt on them.Dana quickly pushed Meena out of the way, also falling flat on her back to evade the Titan's arm coming her way. The
Blackmail.
Sarah pulled up at the nature park, her mind feeling heavy and tired. She had dark shades on with a biker jacket and thick, long jeans that seemed to weigh her down. She peeped outside the window, then grabbed her phone. She opened the camera application and zoomed in on a target… The imagery of the museum coming into play. She saw that everything was still going on as planned as the people moved normally… no hassle, no mayhem and no pandemonium. She dropped her phone then leaned back in the chair, heaving a heavy sigh. She was tired mentally. Her own part of the heist was simple, to spot scar from a distance and direct him towards her. From there, they would return home through the forest road. For the first time in her life, she felt this strange warmth around her. Scar was her father, a new reality she had to deal with. However there was something about scar, he was good. He was kind and caring, a heavy contrast to the look on his face. He reminded her of her mother. The kindness,
Family Issues
A Titan, just as tall as a regular building emerged from behind a sky scraper, stopping right before them. They halted, surprised that the people moved on regularly, living their lives and being unbothered by the sight of a Titan. "Welcome Home your Majesty, Dana Arkadion. Titanos has missed your presence." The Titan spoke. She squeezed her arm, the anger swelling within her. "The Royal Highnesses demand your presence princess Dana. And I must advise you heed to this, for they do not like their patience being tested." Dana was fuming within her. Her mind was blown beyond measure. Not of awe, but of rage. Behind her, her comrades were surprised, horrified and angry. David being the angriest. His conflicted thoughts on Dana were becoming clearer with each minute. Now, this situation resembled the type of secret Dana would have to leave behind, but he wondered deep within himself, "Why did she not tell me?"The rest were all just surprised, while Elias looked like he had lost every
Mission possible.
Sarah's vision flashed open, and she slowly met the inside of her car's hood. She was exhausted, her head felt hot and heavy as she tried to sit up. She fell back, the stings in her bone throwing her down like she was a toy. Her last memories flashed and she remembered drifting into unconsciousness. As the remainder of her memories flushed in, she became alarm, fully sitting up. She looked at her car and everything seemed rough, detailing her struggle with her attacker. She wondered what had happened right after."Did he molest me?" She stopped, quickly feeling her body for any misplaced dressing or scars, there were none. She searched for her phone and found nothing, then she decided to step out. As her head popped out of the car, he gaze met the body of her fully masked attacker, now dead and face flat on the floor. She wanted to scream, but held it. She wondered if she had killed him, trembling. Her mind felt like crashing. In that minute, his phone rang. She dug her hand into h
