I knelt down on the scared metal surface of the deck, cradling Lady Phoenix gently in my arms. Rain still fell relentlessly causing steam to rise from both our bodies like mist rising from dying embers. She blinked once then twice, trying to prevent the rain water from entering her eyes. "You alright?" I asked, easing her as she slowly worked her way back to her feet. "Nrggghhhh!!!" She let steady grunts as she rose, her movements were shaky but she still powered through with determination. "I'm fine... Hell, I've been through worse," she muttered, brushing a strand of her wet brunette hair from her face. "Took a Calamity Creature solo in the dark... But damn, I wasn't expecting two... Abd the second one, was definitely at least A-Class worthy ""You did your best... You already weakened both of them, I just had to finish them off." I said wrly. Her head rise slowly to face. She began scanning me with her sharp and scrutinizing eyes. "Who... Who are you by the way?" She asked.

I stared into the eyes of every survivor. Old men. Mothers cradling children. A young boy, no older than ten, gripping a shattered tablet with a blank screen, hugging it close to his chest for defense. Their eyes begged for safety—but safety was bleeding out fast."I have a plan..." I repeated myself. "You're leaving? We have to do something bout these people and also defeat the airborne Calamity Creature!" Lady Phoenix blared at me with an angry expression written all over her face. "I have a plan... " I repeated again. "But, you'll have to stay here with the survivors and monitor the ships integrity incase it looses its ability to stay afloat!" I called back. Lady Phoenix gritted her teeth and walked steadily closer to me before making eye contact. "Tch!... I don't take orders from you... Need I remind you your class?" I smirked cunningly, did she think she was going to intimidate me with that? "What? Ma'am, this is no time for hero politics... So I suggest you do as your told.

The beast flapped its wings furiously to regain control of its spiraling body as it plummeted downward. Whoooooshhhh! I shot forward, matching its decent trajectory. Both of us collided violently in midair, grippling like titans in the clouds. Skrrrrr!!! Its dreadful claws scratched and scratched at my armor. I reciprocated the gesture by landing a direct punch to its jaw. Then, I blasted another Incinerate shot at point blank range. "Incinerate!..." Boom! The impact separated the both of us, sending us flying in opposite directions. I flipped in the air s couple times before I recalibrated my balance and launched myself again. The fog wasn't still going anywhere, still swirling violently. Lightning flashing in the distance of the sea. It was still hard to see with my naked eyes but I still had my Spacial Awareness Skill active so I could literally do this while my eyes were closed, as long as the Calamity Creature was still within the effective range of the skill. My abili
