Chapter 11
It had become a habit of his, constantly checking the systems status of his businesses, checking for loop holes, opportunities to grasp at, things that should be done but weren't for whatever reason.A smirk played across his lips, his businesses were thriving as they should, and ontop of that he had a really good evening with Lily, better than he had even expected. She had been shy and nervous, but there was something endearing about her honesty and the way she tried to put herself out there despite her awkwardness.“Guess I'm not as rusty as I thought, I still got my charm!” he said to himself. The streets were quieter now, the hum of the city mellowed under the soft glow of the streetlights.Rounding the corner, his steps slowed when he noticed a figure standing by the restaurants entrance.Or rather, two figures. One of them was a woman he most definitely recognized her face. Her posture too, her dark hair falling over her shoulders, it was uncanny. It was his ex-girlfriend, Diana
Chapter 12
The charges had been cleared and though his life couldn’t return to the way it used to be, he was happy it was like this and that he had left that company while he still had the chance, if not he might have still been a man slaving away for an average salary. This was much better than any job could offer. The anger that was built up inside of him was replaced by something calmer.Relief.No one could use those accusations against him anymore, his name was officially cleared.Still, he had no cause to celebrate. He grabbed the remote and turned off the television, “Too little too late…” he said to no one in particular. He got up, pulling on his tracksuit, and tied the strings tight around his waist. If there was one thing that could help him shake off the remnants of his anger, it was a good run. When he finally stepped outside, the cool morning breeze greeted him. The sun was still low, the neighborhood was quiet except for the barking of a dog or the faint hum of a car in the dista
Chapter 13
About a half hour later that day, Maximus parked his power bike outside Gardenia Bistro restaurant. It was a cozy, but upscale spot known for its quiet ambiance and excellent tea.He adjusted the collar of his shirt, making sure he looked half presentable before stepping inside. The host greeted him with a calm smile. “Good afternoon, sir. Do you have a reservation?”“I’m meeting someone here, Someone named Mr. Keith Hall…” Maximus replied. The host nodded. “Right this way sir…”Maximus followed, his nerves settling slightly as they walked toward a table near the window. Waiting there was a sharply dressed man in his late thirties, his monolid eyes complemented his fair skin tone and his posture relaxed but professional.“Mr. Prime,” Keith said, standing to shake Maximus’s hand. “Good to finally meet you.”“Pleasure is mine, Mr. Hall…” Maximus replied as he extended his hand for a firm grip.Keith gestured to the seat across from him. “Please, have a seat. My client will be joining us

Maximus sat on his couch the next morning, the sunlight streaming through the apartment window. His phone rested in his palms with the screen displaying a long list of real estate properties. He had spent most of the morning hours doom scrolling through mansions, a concept that still felt foreign. A mansion? For him? Just a few months ago, he was scraping by and avoiding the dreed of his landlord. But now, things have changed. Now, with three million quid sitting in his bank account and the Investment God System backing him, Maximus felt a strange sense of inevitability. The system wasn’t just helping him survive, it was pushing him to thrive and prosper. And now he was going to live in a thrilling home worthy of his present status. He scrolled past another property, it was beautiful, but something about it didn’t sit right with him. He didn’t want something flashy just for the sake of it. He wanted a place that he could call home. Finally, a series of properties caught his eye. A

Maximus swung his leg over his power bike, slipping on his helmet with practised ease. The engine roared to life beneath him, and he let the sound wash over him like a water fall.As he pulled out of the parking lot for the last time, he felt a weight lift from his shoulders. The ride to his mansion was smooth, the streets quieter now as the city settled into the early afternoon. The outskirts of the city were greener, the air fresher and Maximus couldn’t help but feel like he was stepping into an entirely different world. When he reached the long, winding driveway of his new home, the sight of the mansion took his breath away all over again. Its sleek design blended seemlessly with the natural surroundings.Standing at the gated entrances were two men in sharp black suits. Their posture was firm, their eyes scanning the area with a keen awareness. As Maximus approached, one of them stepped forward, a slight smile breaking his otherwise stoic demeanor.“Mr. Prime,” the guard said, inc

Zack Zimmerman continued his speech immediately the cheering calmed down, “We are here to celebrate my success, connections, and most importantly, having a great hell of a time. So lets keep the drinks coming, the music blaring and the energy alive!”With that, he stepped down from the stage and disappeared into the throng of guests as the music surged back to its alarming volume.“Don't remember him being such a show off though…” Maximus muttered still leaning towards Danny.“Come on, he not that bad,” Danny said with a chuckle, “Come on, lets go say hi…”It happened faster than Maximus could process, before he had the time to protest, Danny grabbed his arm and started weaving through the sea of half naked party goers. He spent the entire moment preventing his body from making contact with exposed nipples and giggling butts dancing to the beat of the loud music. They eventually found Zack near the bar, surrounded by a group of hot women hanging on his every word. When he spotted Dann

The next morning, Maximus woke up to the soft glow of sunlight streaming through the floor to ceiling windows of his bedroom. After a quick shower, he dressed casually in a crips black shirt and jeans. It was a simple look, but the quality of the clothes were more than the common man could afford.Grabbing his keys and sleek, futuristic helmet, he headed out to his power bike packed in the garage. The engine roared to life as he mounted it, the vibrations beneath him a satisfying reminder of the power it held.Maximus pulled up to the clubs entrance on his motorcycle, the engines deep rumble echoing in the queit midday atmosphere. The elegant valet personel stepped forward with a polite nod, his hands outstretched.Maximus handed over the keys and swung his leg off the bike, taking a moment to glance at the buildings sleek exterior.Even in the daylight, the club exuded the same aura as of the previous night but was dialed down several volumes. Stepping inside, a hostess greeted him

“A resort?” Maximus asked with a slight tilt of his head. Intrigue building up inside of him.“Yeah,” Zack said, his eyes lighting up upon seeing Maximus visibly interested. “Imagine it, a luxrury destination with everything you could think of. Top tier accomodadtions, dining, pools, spas, night life, you name it. A place where people can come to relax and let loose and have anunforgettable experience like non other… memories, families, couples, bonds! Think about it!”“Sounds… ambitious,” Maximus said, though he couldn’t dent the appeal of the idea.“Of course! It is very much ambitious,” Zack admitted. “but I've got the vision. And I have been researching locations, sketching out concepts, even talking to a few architects about where would be a suitable place in all of Central City. All I need right now is someone who can make this a reality.”Maximus released a slight frown, his fingers drumming against the bar. “And you think I am a suitable fit to make that a reality?”“Why not?”
Chapter 19
Maximus picked up his coffee absent mindedly before continuing to speak, “I’ll look through the numbers, and then we’ll talk ownership stakes. If it makes sense, we will move forward. If not, I might just start a resort of my own.”Zack whistled softly. “Damn, you really don’t play around do you?”Maximus dropped the cup of coffee back on the table. “Not when it comes to money, and time is money…”Zack chuckled, shaking his head. “Alright, I'll send you everything tonight. We'll talk again after you've gone through it.”Maximus nodded, standing up. “Sounds good Zaccheus…”They shook hands, sealing the deal. As Maximus walked out of the club and toward his bike, he knew the Investment God System would have a thing or two to say about the deal he just agreed to. He didn’t check it yet as he already knew what it was going to be about: Consequence of his decision. But Maximus wasn’t worried, he had a plan.“I always do…” he mused as he reached into his pocket, pulling leather gloves from
Chapter 20
It was 10:43 PM.Joe Hart's building complex gleamed with ambition. Glass, steel, neon blue edge lights that screamed power.Maximus stepped off the bike and marched straight toward the entrance, three security guards in tailored suits intercepted him immediately.“Sir, no visitation are allowed at this time, unless you have and appointment.”“I don’t want one,” Maximus said coldly. “Joe hart owes me thirty million dollars. He's collecting rent off a property that is technically still mine, without paying me a dime.”One of the guards laughed. “Right. You'll need to take that up with his legal team, now step back.”From the balcony above, Joe Hart and Keith Hall leaned against the rails like smug kings on their thrones. They descended slowly, their suits pristine and their expressions dripping with mockery.“Maximus Prime,” Joe called, chuckling. “You really came all the way here for that chump change?”Keith grinned beside him. “Didn’t think you'd be so sentimental about pocket money
