The spectators edged forward, their eyes wide, trying to pierce through the grey haze. They wondered, who would emerge from it? Had scrawny Dave been pulverized, or had he pulled off another miracle?Slowly, the haze began to clear. Figures started to appear. First, the three fighters Black Bear had sent in: The Grizzly, Wild Boar, and Shadow Blade. They were all sprawled helplessly on the ring floor, their bodies bruised, their breaths ragged. Some appeared unconscious. Near them, Titan was curled up in pain, his hands still clutching his swollen eyes, and one of his legs was twisted at an unnatural angle. All four of those brutal fighters were incapacitated. And amidst that pile of helpless giants, Dave stood tall. His clothes were slightly dusty, and there was a faint scratch on his cheek, but his body was intact. Everyone had underestimated him. Now they saw how Dave had defeated all his enemies."The scrawny guy is still alive!" The crowd erupted in cheers, awe, and confusion. Th

Karina walked into Maura Winter's luxurious living room. She noticed her grandmother sitting on a velvet sofa. Her face looked fresh and glowing. This had to be the effect of that remedy Dave gave her. Unfortunately, her grandma, Karina's, was still reluctant to admit it.Karina had thought this through carefully. It was time this family acknowledged what Dave had done."Grandma, Uncle, Aunt," Karina began. "There's something I want to talk about. It's important."Maura raised an eyebrow. "What about?" she asked. "Is this about your wedding to Markus?""It's more than that, Grandma," Karina replied. "It's about Dave."Immediately, Richard snorted. "Dave again? What about him now?"Sonia frowned. "Didn't we agree not to talk about him? He only brings trouble.""He brings trouble, but he also brings solutions," Karina countered, looking at each of them. "That gift I gave to Mr. Wilson Young, that was the vase Dave gave to me."Maura set down her teacup, her expression unchanged. Richard

Dave arrived at Mrs. Winter's residence. On the threshold, unhurried, his steps steady and confident. Karina, who was standing not far from the door, immediately took a few steps forward. She smiled, welcoming Dave's arrival."Thank goodness you had time to come," Karina said, genuinely."I thought something happened to you when you suddenly asked me to come." Dave seemed to be asking Karina and making sure the woman was okay."If it wasn't like this, you probably wouldn't have come." Karina smirked, and that just made Dave shake his head. "Come on in, we've prepared a special meal for you." She raised her hand slightly, signaling him to enter.Dave felt quite flattered that Karina was being rather formal this time. He stepped into the spacious room. The room was dominated by dark colors, expensive furniture, and dim lighting that added an intimidating feel. The cold marble floor shimmered under spotlights, reflecting Dave's shadow. In the center of the room, a long dining table made

Alex recoiled. Instinctively. His head snapped back slightly, as if the bowl of soup in front of him were a pit of hellfire. Cold sweat was already beading on his temples. He no longer cared about the arrogant facade he usually wore. His face was pale, eyes wide, staring at the soup with palpable fear. Dave's hand still firmly gripped the side of the bowl, holding it calmly, as if presenting a trophy."Take it," Dave's voice was so casual, inviting. "Didn't you lose the game?"Alex didn't move. His gaze was fixated on the soup bowl. His mind raced, recalling the plan. If he ate that, not only would his stomach be in trouble, but his reputation would be utterly destroyed in front of everyone. He couldn't take that risk."I won't!" Alex roughly batted Dave's hand away, making the soup bowl wobble slightly. Dave pulled his hand back, showing no reaction at all to the rude rejection.Karina, who had been observing them, grew increasingly suspicious that something was going on between them

They knew Dave was referring to the valuable antique urn he'd given to Markus Young. But they chose to keep quiet. No one dared to openly admit it.Maura's face suddenly went pale. Her hand clutched her chest. Dave's words made her heart feel squeezed. Her breaths came in short gasps.Seeing her grandmother in pain, Karina quickly moved."Grandma! Are you okay?" Karina asked, her voice anxious. She reached for Maura's hand, gently stroking it.Sonia and Richard, seeing Maura's worsening condition, instead of approaching to help, seized the opportunity to corner Karina. They saw it as Dave's weakness."Look what you've done, Karina!" Sonia hissed, her voice sharp and piercing. "This is all because you defended this guy!""If only you hadn't interfered, none of this would have happened!" Richard added, chiming in. "You're shameless! Grandma's like this because of *your* actions!"Alex also glared at Karina angrily. "Yeah! All you ever do is cause trouble!"Karina looked at them one by o

Markus kept ordering his bodyguards to search for Karina across the entire city, his face showing genuine worry. He feared his fiancée was injured, or kidnapped by irresponsible parties. In contrast to Markus, Richard, at his residence, considered Karina's disappearance a huge loss for them. He assumed this was Karina's trick to avoid marrying Markus."See? I told you," Richard mumbled to himself, pacing back and forth in the living room, in front of Maura who sat stiffly on the sofa, her eyes closed. "Dave must have influenced her! This must be Karina's own doing because she doesn't care about our family's fate!"Maura said nothing. She just sat silently, letting her son ramble. There was a deep weariness etched on her face. The shooting incident at the boutique yesterday, coupled with the commotion at Markus's house this morning, was too much for her."Now we just have to wait for the marriage cancellation announcement," Richard continued, fuming. "If Karina hadn't caused trouble, A

Dave's sudden shout made Markus jump in surprise. The teacup in his hand almost fell. He looked at Dave with a bewildered expression, then shifted his gaze to Debora, his loyal servant of two decades, who was now frozen, her face surprised and hurt."Dave! What is this?!" Markus asked, his voice rising slightly. "What's wrong with you?"Debora looked at Dave, tears starting to well up in her wrinkled eyes. "Sir, what do you mean? Why would you say such a thing? I'm just serving chamomile tea as usual." Her acting was quite good. She showed disappointment, as if she had been accused of an unforgivable crime. "After twenty years of serving Mr. Markus and his family, I never thought I'd be suspected like this."Dave looked at Debora. His tense expression softened slightly. Debora's appearance, the emotions she displayed, and her history as Markus's loyal servant for twenty years, were too powerful to ignore. If Dave pushed his point right now, the situation would only turn against him.M

Quietly, Dave scanned the entire dining room with his gaze, realizing how many security loopholes could actually be exploited to kill Markus. With Markus being this oblivious, they could have killed the Young family much faster. Why were they waiting? Why didn't they do it sooner? There must be a strong reason. Was something else waiting? Or did they just want to do it at an organized time?"Dave?" Markus's voice broke Dave's reverie. Markus looked at him with an inquisitive gaze. "What are you thinking about? Is there another problem?"Dave shook his head. "Nothing," he replied casually, hiding all the complex analysis he had just performed. He couldn't explain what he 'felt' inside this house, or it would only make Markus more confused and suspicious of him. He had to focus on information that made more logical sense."Just thinking about other stuff," Dave continued. He then changed the topic, returning to the main reason for his visit, Markus's marriage. "Markus, I heard you're ma
