Experiment
“Knock Knock!” Mylos knocked on the door so boldly that he stunned a silent Karen who stood besides him. She compared his actions now to his reaction earlier, wondering where his earlier hesitation to even stand metres away had gone. Alissa remained silent. She didn't know why, but she was never interested in speaking unless Mylos said otherwise and just like the feeling of loyalty she had towards him, it was difficult for her to understand this as well. After three seconds of wait, there was a clamour inside the building then the sound of someone running down the stairs. After two more seconds, someone finally got the door dragged open to welcome the visitors. The woman had long black hair, a symmetrical face that was extremely similar to Karen's, and ink black eyes that gleamed in a soft light. She wore a welcoming smile on her face as she saw Mylos and Alissa behind Karen. "Mother!" Karen ran into the woman's arms. Mylos just watched in silence, the powerful Hero
Unlocking Magic With Chaos
Karen passed a book to Mylos. Bouncing around him in the mountain of books she'd built in her room which was just as massive as the one Mylos booked in the past, just that it was crowded with bookshelves and toys. "Grim Reaper…" She frowned, skimmed through a book then placed it in the slot she'd dragged it out of. After returning the book to it's slot, she dashed towards another shelf, burying her face into the books without lifting her head once. "Hmm, makes sense. Well, makes sense enough for the kind of world we were born into. There was also chances he didn't actually do this, but who cares? It is coolest for the kind of monster created, it's quite interesting!" Mylos just stood speechless. He had explained to Karen what happened as simply as he could to avoid anything confusing for the little girl. If only he knew that after he explained to her, he'd be the one thrown into confusion. "From what I understand, you must have some ability in you that aided in revivin
Old Man
"He was swept away by its tail… Thrown off balance just a second from cutting down the vicious beast…” Mylos sat down with his eyes closed. Listening to Alissa as she read the book, he let himself collapse into a state of absolute concentration. Pieces of paper and dust was cast into the air by his aura, swirling around him slowly. What can his chaos energy do? As a demon, his energy was the core of all his abilities. The energy he cultivated in himself powered his demonic arts, it allowed Mylos to unleash attacks beyond the capabilities of other demons. It allowed him to warp the space around himself, to tear through surfaces without making contact. It allowed him to practice what humans called “mana”, giving the power to utilise his chaos energy for an arsenal of new abilities. "The unbalanced knight struggled to get on his feet. A feeling of doom loomed over him as the beast marched towards him, it's eyes bright red with bloodlust…" Mylos frowned. He'd read somewher
Her Father, The Hero
"Me, an old man? Youngsters of these days are so disrespectful. The eagerness to die is very amusing." The man held Karen in his arms, caressing the back of her head. He glanced at the struggling Alissa, "I can't believe what you kids are doing in my house," "Not only have you managed to put my beloved Karen in danger, you also mess up her room with your pathetic essence. I can't bear the disgust from these stupid acts." Mylos chuckled, then turned to Alissa. After seconds in silence, he approached her with his sword held tight, not dropping his guard even once. After reaching her, Mylos extended his right hand, "Come on, get up." Hearing his voice, Alissa calmed herself down. After the fog in her head cleared, she lifted her head to see Mylos extending his hand towards her. Without hesitation, she grabbed his hand — hoisting herself to her feet. "You don't need to speak for some time. We have some annoying company here. Let me handle this first before I can ask of the e
Returning With A Zombie Army
“Knock Knock.” Everyone paused, turning in the direction of the door. The closest to the door were Mylos and Alissa, and they exchanged cold looks. Mylos rose to his feet calmly, approaching the door. Before he could reach the door, Karen ran past him at a fast speed. He walked forward calmly, watching as she dragged the door open carelessly. As it opened his pupils narrowed to needle points. A familiar tail burst into the room through the open door, stabbing in his direction. In an instant, he grabbed the tail, sliding back as a vicious light flashed in his eyes. Of course, it did not take them a long time to track them. “Bang!” the door that led to the study upstairs burst open, and Aysla rushed out. Arthrax follows behind her with his hand in pockets, observing the scenery with cold eyes. His gaze hovered over the frozen Karen, who had fallen on her butt from shock — and grew icier. “Mylos…” the receptionist made her appearance, stepping into the room with a mad grin on her
Came For The Dead
“Ah fuck… Ah fuck…” Mylos muttered under his breath as he dragged the two women with him into the kitchen, slamming it shut behind them. He grabbed the sword he had dropped there when he discussed with Sylvia about the family — after the fight with Arthrax, that is. Even with a weapon, he was not really the greatest fighter to ever exist even if he was working towards that. Mylos turned around to see Karen and Alissa staring back at him with worry in their eyes and he patted Karen’s head to calm her down, muttering assurances to Alissa. “Should I not just give myself up to them? I see no reason in endangering yourself for me.” All was for taught and that was very clear when Alissa voiced her thoughts. It made Mylos pause and wonder if he was terrible at assurances. Was that even a legitimate question? Bang! The door burst apart into numerous shards, and a demon stepped into the kitchen. It wielded a sword in both hands, two massive ram like horns grew out the back of its elongate
No One Can Embarrass The Elder Sister!
Aysla leaped forward at high speeds, reaching for Lisa’s neck her right hand. As she did this, a lot of codecs were formed behind Lisa — all pulsating in a unique red glow. They formed into a massive net that collapsed upon Aysla’s frame at fast speeds. “Heh.” Aysla grinned and her figure flickered. In the next instance, her claws were only moments away from rending Lisa’s neck. As Lisa stepped back to dodge, her claws missed her neck — tearing through her cheeks without obtaining a solid grip. Arthrax ran to finish off the deal, his sword glinting in a cold light as he swung it around, aiming to slice Lisa in halves. Lisa only grinned in response, all her codecs formed a walls before her as the hero’s sword landed. There was a bright explosion of light as she was pushed back. “Take your stupid fight…” Arthrax frowned as he glared down upon the retreating Lisa, “Another place!” he dashed forward, vanishing in thin air as the tails — codecs — stabbed in his direction. He appeared b
I'm The Villain
"Alissa… Can you get me that book from the top of the shelf? Hurry up will you?." The older woman called out to her younger child, pointing to a shelf few metres away from her position, "Try not to tumble it over." Alissa — the younger child who'd sat down to read the books scattered on the ground, lifted her head to stare at her mother in silence. After locating the book, Alissa stood to her feet, walking towards to the book. Just as she was about to drag the book down from the top of the shelf, she heard a knock from the front door, and paused. After a few seconds, she dragged it down from the shelf and ran to her mother. "Will you go get the door? I guess your father has come back from his hunt." The woman smiled at Alissa, raising her right hand to pat the younger child's head, "I will be waiting for you here. Don't run off somewhere else." Alissa nodded to her mother, then ran out of the room to open the front door. She rushed towards the door at her maximum speed, reac
The Church Moves
A week had passed since Mylos used his refined chaos energy — mana — to reanimate the dead bodies of the weird cult that had attacked him. They were very resistant at first but he manipulated a few into helping him convince the others of how beautiful his vision was. Most thought that they would get promoted to high places when the victory over the church was secured — such fools, it was no wonder why they remained dead. The most resistant remained Lisa, she tried so hard in resisting but failed. The harder he trained, the weaker her resistance. Mylos held his blade calmly, swinging at the space before him. He swung from different angle, his movements slow and steady. Time and again, he would channel chaos energy into his blade and then rip through the space before him in a single stroke — a beta technique he steadily refined. He trained in the forests — a vast expanse of tall trees and alluring greenery. Mylos enlisted it in his training process to not harm any trees. It was a me
