Humans Don't Die Twice
The Hero leapt back as Alissa chased. He spun to the side — dodging two of Lisa’s codecs — and dashed forward, stabbing his spear forth. Alissa turned to dodge his spear at a fast speed and as the spear was withdrawn, the Hero leapt ahead and kneed her in the cheek. Aysla leapt forward, taking the opportunity to grab the Hero by the neck. The force carried with her jump allowed her to sweep him off his feet, crashing him to the ground and burying half his face into the earth. Lisa formed more codecs that stabbed for his head but he grabbed Aysla and used her to shield himself, throwing her to the side with Lisa’s codecs buried into the back of her neck. He leaped to his feet, waving his hands as runes formed around him. “Enough with this folly!” he shouted angrily as a burst of golden light exploded from within him to consume the area. He ran forward with his spear rotating in his hands, dashing for Lisa without a second of hesitation, “Golden—“ Before he could finish, Alis
Assault On The Church
Flashes of light scattered across the area and the sound of blade clashing with blade followed in quick succession. Aysla appeared from every possible direction on the battle battlefield, teaming with her brother to lock the Hero’s movements. They attacked furiously but his defence was strong — years of training honed into his technique — and they could not shatter it. Mylos leapt forward, swinging his blade with all his might as Aysla leapt over his shoulder — vanishing into thin air. The Hero parried Mylos’ attack, spinning around to block Aysla’s lunging strike. He kicked Aysla away, dashing back and dodging the demons that rushed forward to jump him. He observed his area, calmly blocking strikes from all of the demons. Even as he did this, he did not break a sweat. Mylos frowned. He had gotten a chance to use his chaos energy in the battle. Its use was limited and to use it he needed to be stationary. Otherwise, its control could be quite — chaotic. He jumped away, deflec
Madness Begins Here
“They took the bodies?” a middle aged man with long golden hair questioned the younger man crouched beneath him, his gaze was as cold as ice, “Did they want to be tracked?” “I believe so but the thoughts of these immoral creatures are beyond us.” The man stood up to his feet, patting the dust of his long long gold overalls. He frowned calmly, “It is best we track them, Ryan, or it will be too late.” “Contact the Priests, tell everyone to be at alert.” Ryan turned around and began walking forth, his eyes piercing forward as the building exploded behind him in an explosion of golden flames. “What about the heroes?” the younger man questioned, “Ryan, we need to inform them of the demons at hand! If we can gather as much as we can and assign to each church, then it would—“ “No. That would weaken the Grand Priest.” Ryan cut in, walking to a halt, “We do not know the limits of their strengths. It would be blind to underestimate them, most especially being so close to the church.” He p
The Order
Alissa turned to Mylos, her eyes widening as the door shut in her face. Aysla shouted, and she turned around to block the fist that came smashing down. She staggered back, calm as she noticed Aysla getting engaged by the other in combat. “Undying aberrant, please bear me witness.” The man standing before her spoke in a calm voice, the daggers slipping out of his sleeves gleamed in a vicious light, “That I, Robert of the Light, took all he had in sending you back to where you belong—” He leapt forward and crisscrossed slashed her exposed chest, “—Hell!” Blood splattered across the area as she staggered back, her clothing ripping open to expose her skin. Alissa stared down upon her ripped open flesh, watching as the wound healed, then her facial expression turned fierce. She dashed forward, ducking under his overhead curve and punching him in the abdomen. The force from her punch rocked his insides, sending him staggering back in pain and shock. He spat out a mouthful of blood and
The Soul Of Heroes And Demons
A car zoomed down the road, taking sharp corners and cutting into the walkways in the process. The pedestrians would jump to safety, watching as it sped off at insane speeds. “A commotion near the Silver Church?” the look on Judas’ face was ghastly, “There are too many human civilians there! A battle would cause too many causalities, I don’t think we would make it!” “Have faith, Judas!” Ryan drove the car like a maniac, slamming its butt into walls and diving past road signs. He spun the wheel, and the car dove headfirst into a branched path leading down a street that seemed deserted. “The civilians seem to steer clear of this area… it is as we fear! Hurry!” Judas exclaimed, dragging out his gun from his suitcase, dropping the window and sticking out his upper body. He tightened his mouth as they sped fiercely, circling the action of his rifle.—— Alissa stepped back, staring at the man as he chased her. She spun her dashed forward in a flash, slamming her palm into his face. The
The Edge Of Battle
Aysla looked around herself. To her left was Judas, to her right was Robert and before her stood Ryan holding a blade and behind her was Alissa’s fallen body. The bitch was not dead but they could be trouble if something was revealed with so many watching. “Hey, demon.” Ryan jumped over her swung hammer, landing on the ground and darting forward to close the gap between them. He looked around for any escape paths to cut off but the woman was still, standing her ground with no signs of retreat, “Have you decided?” “That is not something that you can accomplish.” Aysla said, swinging her hammer around. There was a cruel gleam in his eyes as he dashed around to dodging her violent outburst. She followed his movements coolly, chasing him with her hammer, “Because, I do want to die here.” Bullets were fired and she leapt around to evade them, locked on Ryan. She made sure that the chance he looked for was not provided! She circled around with her back faced to Alissa, ensuring that Rya
Awakened Heroes
Robert rose from his fainted position, moving at a fast speed as he brandished his daggers, the expression on his face cold as he locked in, leaped towards Mylos. The demon targeted, turned to a confident fool, glaring at him out of the corner of his eyes, “All fools should die foolish deaths.” Mylos said. There was a flash of light, and Robert’s body froze, but his head moved on, rolling past Mylos’s face until it smashed into the torn up wall behind him. Tails, pulsating in a strange white light, fired from the darkness, forming into a claw. “I have held these people hostage.” Mylos turned to Ryan, snapping a finger. As Lisa walked out through the hole in the wall, the building behind her came crumbling down to dust. She stood with a calm expression on her face, her eyes as cold as ice. “Hold them hostage? Who do you think you are?” he shouted, “By the grace of the Lord himself, I Ryan of the Church of Light, will eliminate your pathetic existence be—” “I understand you may b
Fire Of God
Mylos in First POV——— I was — could still be — pathetically weak. Born without any demonic arts, haunted by a dark past, only affinity is with my sword — one I am not even the best in. Hunted by humans and demons alike, I was quite pathetic. Immortality had presented me a chance, and it had given me hope — hope to grow, where I couldn’t. To go against the natural order, is death. Sadly for this universe, I cannot die. My existence is the bane of the order, constantly at odds with the rules of universe, evolving with every passing second, and tapping into that chaos — one that exists at the bottom of my soul, I discovered it. I have no needs for demon arts anymore. My existence transcends all. I practised the blade, and with time, I honed the one thing I am trained in. I practised the chaos, and what I honed was not that trained for countless years, but a gift of madness, one threatening to eat everything whole. So, I drew from the well, careful not to fall in unguarded. A taste.
The Upheaval
“What do you mean the buildings in Lower A Area had collapsed?” a man’s voice boomed in the small room. The shouting male, who towered over eight feet, holding a sword as massive as his size, glared at the woman who stood before him with her hands crossed across her chest. “We just received the information from one of our trusted eyes. The church could be in danger. I have a sent a warning to all the heroes and hunters on standby, and we are prepared to face what is rampaging around in the city…” The man listened to her speak. Her voice was like a melody to his ears, and whenever she spoke he would calm down from a second, as if he dipped into a warm spring. Soon, the anger would blare up again, and he would glare at her with bulging eyes, “Helen, that is not enough!” She shook her head, her long grey hair fluttering, “It is not like we have a choice. Our heroes are already stretched too thin. I was thinking we withdraw some heroes from the church to reinforce the others, but we h
The Weakness Of Heaven
After killing the demon hunters — those rabid dogs — the church was left defenceless. His eyes flashed in a cold light as he walked down the streets, the humans around him thrown in an uproar. A smile broke on his lips watching them run helter-skelter. “Lisa, what do you consider the greatest threat to the church?” he asked, the massive cathedral appearing before his vision, growing larger the nearer he approached. His right hand held a sword and the left was dug into his pocket, “Is it the believers or their prosecutors?” “Their believers hold the basic foundation of a church. The prosecution is merely a tool to rip it apart, the system that holds the church together. I — when working on my toys — had always sat to think of how the church could come collapsing upon itself…” Lisa followed Mylos walking in a calm gait with her tails withdrawn into her body. Her eyes, like a collection of colourful stars, shone as she watched the place descend into chaos. They reached the building
