Chapter 31
The old man could barely keep up with his speed, still balancing his weight with the aid of the walking staff he held onto with all his strength. “Wait, son! Wait for me!” He beckoned loudly, grunting as he made several failed attempts to catch up with Hudderson. “You should at least tell me where you are going!” He groaned when he heard a crack in his bone, grabbing his waist with his left hand. After a while, Hudderson slowed down, but Kyron was only able to catch up with him when he was already out of the building. “You should have waited for me!” Kyron panted as soon as he walked out of the building, standing before Hudderson with a heavy breath. His guards were relieved that he was still alive as soon as they saw him, but that didn’t mean that they had stopped being terrified by the sight of the Supreme Ruler. Kyron gave them signs to walk away, and they obliged without asking any questions. Just then, Hudderson decided to get rid of his silence, turning to the old man with
Chapter 32
With increasing speed, Hudderson located the oak tree, and while the shooter on the tree was attempting to escape, he grabbed him before he could touch the ground, pinning him with one hand. The other was still shooting, but soon, he ran out of arrows, and the only option left for him was to make use of his swords.Unsheathing the two katana with him, he quickly lunged an attack at Hudderson, swinging his blades speedily. Just then, a third shooter appeared, firing at will and aiming for Hudderson’s legs, believing that it was going to be easier for him to shoot him in the legs. Hudderson only had to move his head to the right, and then to the left to avoid the arrows, and then he caught one of them.“Here! Catch!” He threw the arrow at the third shooter, and before he could realize what was coming to him, he had already been hit from afar. He fell to the ground, dying on the spot. This left his cohorts speechless, and they stared with their eyes wide open, and their jaws dropped.
Chapter 33
Hudderson said no words. He just kept his hands straight and steady, and before long, he released the arrow from the string of the bow. The second archer gasped, and while his body remained frozen, he waited to be hit. But the arrow missed him by a few inches, piercing into the tree behind him.He kept on panting with his mouth wide open, fastening his hands to the ground filled with leaves as he stared at Hudderson with wide eyes. The Supreme Ruler sniggered at him, and then he lowered the bow. “That was on purpose. I don’t think you will be lucky next time.” He grabbed another arrow that was plunged to the ground, and then he fastened it to the bow, aiming for the man’s head. “Look behind you. I am sure you can see how sharp your arrows are. They are going to break into your skull and end you permanently.” The man could no longer hold onto his silence. “Talia Winston sent us to kill you!” He said loudly, taking a deep breath without getting relief.Hudderson lowered the bow an

With an intense amount of fear surging through him after he heard the words from Hudderson, the teenage boy was forced to accept his fate.“I will go with you, Sir. But you must promise me that you will let me go. I have shown you the person who wants you dead.”Hudderson looked at Tony, staring with a wry smile as the teenage boy waited anxiously for a response, unsure if he was going to get a good response from him.“You seem very smart.” Hudderson nodded with a chuckle, and then he took a deep breath.“I am going to give you exactly what you want, Tony. Freedom.”Tony sighed heavily, and it seemed as though a new kind of energy had been introduced into his system. For some reason, he believed that Hudderson had the key to grant him freedom from the bondage he had been in for years.Eagerly and attempting to suppress his fear, he opened the door and got out of the van.But when it seemed as though a thought had crawled into his mind, he could no longer find his steps. “What is it,

Talia nodded with a wry smile. “Why not?” She took a deep breath. “I knew that you were not going to be willing to come and see me, so I devised a means to get the almighty Hudderson to come look for me.”She sniggered. “My plan worked!” Her laughter rose high above and lasted until she was satisfied. While she was still looking at Hudderson who was silent and calm, she walked up to him and her bodyguards followed. Only that they stood behind her instead of her sides. “We have a lot to talk about, my darling. Come.” She extended her hand to grab Hudderson, but he withdrew it instantly from her reach.Talia scoffed. “Don’t tell me that you are angry over what happened, my love. This is clearly not something that should be enough to get you upset.” Hudderson sighed, his expression cold and unreadable. “Maybe you should have stayed dead, Talia.” His voice was low and lacked even the smallest ounce of emotion. The truth was written in his eyes, his gaze piercing and thorough. Talia’s

CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX Talia let go of his hands at once, her eyes wide with disbelief. “What…” She was forced into silence by the overwhelming realization that crashed into her.“How are you married, Hudderson? I asked, and no one told me that you were married.” “That’s because it just happened. I am a married man now, Talia. You should respect that.” Talia shook her head, and more tears began to flow from her eyes. “I don’t believe you, Hudderson. Prove it."Hudderson looked her in the eyes, and then he took a deep breath. “You know me too well, Talia. You know that among everything that I could be, lying is not one of them. I am married to a very beautiful woman. One of the prettiest in the city.” Talia began to feel her heart beating so fast that she feared that she was going to have a mental breakdown. “You disappear for so long, and when you return, you get married?” She muttered, staring at him with wide eyes. There was silence. Hudderson didn’t have anything to say to her.

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN Hudderson stared as the boy walked away, increasing his pace while he kept on looking around in fear. After a while, he turned and left the building, locating the van.For over a minute, he remained silent in the van until he decided to go through the file once again. As soon as he was able to get the information he wanted, he turned on the ignition and drove away. His next destination was toward the south end of a city, an area that almost looked like a dead zone with abandoned buildings, bushy streets, and even silence hovering all over the place. Memories crashed into his head as he pulled up in front of the only mansion that looked like it had not been abandoned. He stared for a while, and for some reason, he decided to remain inside the van.“Why is there no movement? I can’t see anyone.” He thought to himself, and after a while, he decided to walk out of the van.He walked straight to the main entrance of the mansion and knocked without delay. He waite

CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT Charlotte groaned, her eyes flickering as she rolled from one end of the cozy king-sized mattress to the other. Then she gasped at the sight of Hudderson seated next to her on the bed. “What are you doing here?!” She asked angrily, grabbing the duvet to cover herself. Hudderson took a deep breath, still holding onto his smile. “You look so beautiful when you smile. Good morning, wifey.” Charlotte scoffed, rolling her eyes at him. “Where have you been?” She asked, glaring at him. “I waited for you last night, and I didn’t see you.”Hudderson chuckled softly. “I didn’t know that you were already missing me.”“I didn’t say that.” Charlotte retorted with a grimace. “I was just wondering how you were able to get this type of accommodation.” She looked around, admiring the interior of the master bedroom for the umpteenth time. “Whose mansion is this?” She asked, staring at Hudderson with wide eyes. “This is our new home, Charlotte. Don’t you like it?” Hudderson

CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE Charlotte got very confused as she watched the three ladies introduce themselves. She already knew them because of their popularity in the city. It was surprising that they were treating her with so much respect.Knowing how expensive their services were, she couldn’t stop wondering how Hudderson was able to get the three of them to come together at once. They were not just the best in the city, but rivals who had been strong for decades. Hudderson stood by the corner, watching as Charlotte found it very difficult to make a choice.Just then, his phone rang, and as soon as he looked at the screen, he frowned. Slowly, he walked away and answered the call as soon as he was standing outside the mansion. “I heard you are back to Mog.” A deep male voice resounded through the speakers, causing Hudderson to grunt in annoyance. “I never knew that you were going to come back to the city, Hudderson.” The voice continued, but Hudderson chose silence. “I will find you,

CHAPTER FORTY From a distance, Charlotte could already see the seven guards positioned in front of the Grand Hotel. They looked anything but friendly, scouring the area for anyone who was not meant to be there. “Are you sure about this, Hudderson?” Charlotte couldn’t hide her worries, echoes of trouble resounding in her ears. Yet Hudderson said nothing. He chose silence, giving her more reason to hold onto her reluctance to go with him. “I asked you a question, Hudderson!” She pushed for answers, almost pulling out of Hudderson’s grip. “Tell me what we are doing here!” She demanded, and seeing that the men on guard had already taken note of them, her worry intensified. Hudderson took a deep breath, holding onto his smile. “You don’t need to be worried about all of this, Wifey. You will get to find out what we are doing here.” Charlotte showed immediate dissatisfaction after she heard his explanation, but that was all he had to say to her. He didn’t have anyt
