CHAPTER EIGHTY-ONE When they finally drove away, Charlotte sighed heavily, and then she turned to Hudderson, her eyes burning with annoyance.“I never want to see them here again, Hudderson. They are no longer my family. Not after what they did to me.” Hudderson nodded, and then he gestured to her to come close. “I am so sorry, Wifey. I will make sure that you never see their faces again. But I am sure that they will never come back. Not when I have warned them not to ever come near to this place.”Charlotte was satisfied with his response, but it seemed very hard for her to say it. She wrapped her hands around her husband, looking him in the eyes. “Thank you so much for coming to my rescue, Hudderson. Thank you.”Hudderson chuckled softly, and with a calm tone, he retorted, “You don’t need to thank me, Wifey. I am your husband, and it is my duty to protect you no matter what it is going to take.” Charlotte nodded, and then she groaned at the pain that reminded her that it was y

CHAPTER EIGHTY-THREE “What did you just say?” Hudderson asked, turning to Tony who was as shocked as he was.“You heard what I said, Hudderson.” Talia took a deep breath, and then she walked up to Tony, grabbed his hand forcefully, and dragged him closer to Hudderson. “Can’t you see the resemblance? Can’t you see that she looks so much like you?” Hudderson turned to look at Tony, and even though his mind was so occupied to thinking straight, he could still feel the connection with the teenage boy. “You are lying, Talia.” He said, trying not to fall for the thoughts that crawled inside his mind. “He is your son, Hudderson.” Talia insisted, taking a deep breath. “I had Tony and his sister after you left me. You abandoned me, Hudderson.” She had tears in her eyes, but she was able to suppress them before they dropped. She put up the resistance, glaring at Hudderson. “All I wanted was for you to love me, but you chose to flee because of your ambitions.”Hudderson was frozen, compl

CHAPTER EIGHTY-FOURShe was right about the guards being fearless and apparently formidable, but there was no guarantee that they were going to be strong enough to defeat Hudderson. The first two to attack him were those with Katana swords. Seeing that he was without any weapon, they considered him defenseless and were very certain that they were going to be able to beat him. But when they attacked, they were overpowered as their weapons were snatched even before they could know what was happening. Hudderson slew them with their own swords, the gory sight sending shivers down the spines of the others. With eight guards left, it was hard to tell who was going to be the next to die. But since none of them was brave enough to attack next, it was hard to tell who amongst them was going to get killed. At that moment, Hudderson stepped forward, then he grabbed two guards, strangled them in a matter of seconds, and let their bodies drop with silent thuds. Next, he threw life-threateni

CHAPTER EIGHTY-FIVE When she eventually saw the coin and realized that it was what had hit her, she was stunned, wondering how it was possible for Hudderson to make her fall with that piece of bronze coin. Crawling with strained efforts, she picked up the coin, and then she pushed it closer to her eyes, staring with wide eyes. “How?” She muttered, returning her gaze to Hudderson. “We don’t need to fight over our son, Talia,” Hudderson said calmly, and then he took a deep breath. “Don’t do it.” He warned the moment he saw that Talia was trying to pick up the dagger that had fallen from her hand. “It’s of no use.” He continued, taking a deep breath. “There is no need for violence, Talia.” He said calmly, but Talia ignored him, pushing forward to grab the weapon. But before she could get to it, Hudderson had already kicked it aside, causing her to watch as the dagger slid to the corner of the living room. She grunted, returning her fierce eyes to Hudderson. Then she pushed herse

CHAPTER EIIGHTY-SIX Charlotte stared at Hudderson that hot afternoon, her mind occupied by the many thoughts that crawled into his mind. Hudderson noticed her curious stare, but he didn’t seem ready to speak. He ate silently, holding onto the spoon tightly. But the stare persisted, and Hudderson could no longer continue with his silence. He dropped the spoon in the plate of soup, shifting his gaze to Charlotte who had refused to take her eyes off him. “Are you going to tell me what is bothering you or you are going to continue staring at me like you have been asked to do that?” He arched his brows while he waited for a response. Charlotte took a deep breath, and then she looked Hudderson in the eyes.“I need to tell you something.” She finally broke her silence, and while Hudderson’s curiosity lingered, she grabbed the glass of water and quenched her thirst with almost the entire content. Then she sighed heavily, dropping the glass back on the table. “Jackson’s father is back

CHAPTER EIGHTY-SEVEN Charlotte was silent for a while, and when she eventually decided to break her silence, she cleared her throat, continuing in a low tone. “What is going on, Hudderson?” She asked, her tone laced with a little nervousness.Hudderson took a deep breath. “Just do what I said, Charlotte. I will see you when I get back.” He ended the call, and then the desire to remain where he was set in. At first, he thought of not going anywhere, but the thought of the important places he had to go to made him move. Slowly, he drove, increasing the speed of the car with every passing minute. He arrived at the hospital in less than thirty minutes, and he hurried into the building at once, his steps silent and swift. As soon as he walked into the ward, Tony stood up from the chair close to his sister and hurried to him. “You came back.” He said with an excited tone, causing Hudderson to raise an eyebrow. “Of course, I came back. I told you that I was going to be back, didn’t I

CHAPTER EIGHTY-EIGHT “What are you doing here?!” Hudderson asked with an angry tone, but it was hard for the Doctor to speak because he had restocked both his voice and his airflow. He wheezed, and then he lifted his hands while he begged to be released. Hudderson finally let him go when he saw that he was almost out of breath, prompting him to cough while he staggered backward. Hudderson looked behind him to be sure that no one was coming, and then he moved closer to the Doctor, his fists tightly balled as though he was about to release a punch. He watched angrily as the Doctor struggled to get a grip on himself, fuming aggressively. "Do you want to kill me?!" The Doctor finally broke his silence, his voice barely above a whisper. Hudderson growled at him. “I should have killed you. You don’t deserve to live.” He paused for a while, and then he asked, “What are you doing here?”“I should be asking you that.” The Doctor retorted, pointing his finger at Hudderson. “What are you

CHAPTER EIGHTY-NINE “What did you just you just say to me?” Hudderson asked, trying to be certain that he heard him correctly. Felix stuttered, gripped by an intense fear that seized his voice. “What did you say to me?” Hudderson took just one step forward, but that was all he needed to make the Doctor scared. “Please, don’t make me leave! I am happy here!” He pleaded with teary eyes, but that was not enough to stop Hudderson from still marching up to him. “I was not asking.” Hudderson grabbed him by the neck again, but instead of pinning him to the wall as usual, he decided to lift him several inches above the ground. The Doctor’s feet dangled all over the floor, and even when he tried to break free, it turned out that his entire strength was nothing compared to the might of the Supreme Ruler. Hudderson growled at him, looking up to his drained face while he raised him higher. “You are not welcome here, Felix.” He growled at him, and then he took a deep breath without en

CHAPTER NINETY The Supreme Ruler found it very difficult for him to forget what Felix did in the past, but since Felix looked like he would never joke with his life, he decided to give him a chance.“You can go.” He permitted, and grabbing his stethoscope from the ground, Felix hurried to the ward.Hudderson followed him slowly, and when they got in, they met the teenage girl mumbling some words which seemed very hard for her brother to understand.Tony was very anxious, and he didn’t know even the smallest relief until he heard the footsteps approaching. He sighed heavily, leaving the way for the Doctor to attend to his sister. Felix stared at the girl for a while, and after he had checked her eyes, he decided that it was time for him to discard his stethoscope. While he was still attending to Tonia, Hudderson’s phone rang, and when he saw the caller, he stepped outside to answer the call. “What do you want?” He asked, his voice dripping with displeasure. “I want my children!”

Charlotte tried to resist the urge to break her silence, but watching Hudderson as he folded the last cloth into the small box, she couldn’t stop herself from asking where he was going.“You have refused to tell me exactly where you are going.” She stood up from the bed, walked up to Hudderson, and looked him in the eyes.“We have been married for only a few weeks, yet you have decided to move from one place to the other. Is this how we will enjoy this marriage?” Hudderson sighed heavily, and feeling the sadness that gripped her, he decided to make her feel better. “I already told you, wifey. I am going on a journey to save Tony’s sister. Her life is at stake, and she needs something very rare to make her get better.” Charlotte took a deep breath, and it was hard to tell if she believed him or not. “Where exactly are you going?” She asked, and it was hard to tell if she was going to get a response from Hudderson. He had been silent for a very long time, making it hard for her to
