chapter 31: Mana domain
Meanwhile, Lucian just concluded his martial arts class. All Sweaty breathing heavily walking towards the dorm with a towel slung over one shoulder. “Time to hit the showers… Haven’t seen Harry or Graece all day. I should catch up with them later.” he said to himself smiling. “LUCIAN!!!” “ LUCIAN!!!” Lucian heard a voice screaming his name he turned to look at who it was, and it turned out to be Eli. He was sprinting hard and came to a halt as soon as he reached Lucian. His face twisted in panic gasping for breath, barely able to speak. Lucian’s eyes widened. “Eli are you ok what’s wrong?... relax and breathe” “It’s Harry!” Dan choked out. “He's cornered by a group of second-years as we speak! You have to hurry!” Lucian’s expression hardened instantly. Dark, burning fury surged through him. “Second-years?… Lead the way. now.” He dropped the towel and broke into a dead sprint beside Dan. One thought was in his mind “if Harry was hurt. I’ll make them pay.” A brutal
chapter 32: Lightning rain
The moment Nero the words “MANA DOMAIN!” left Nero's lips, the air around him exploded with freezing power. A massive wave of frost burst outward, turning the entire battlefield into a frozen wasteland. Giant pillars of ice shot up from the ground, tall and sharp, spreading out in every direction. The temperature dropped instantly, and everything was covered in a thick layer of white ice. The sheer force of the rising pillars pushed everyone else backward, separating them. Even the onlookers present backed away because of the cold. Latisha acted fast. She grabbed Graece by the arm and teleported them both away just in time. Lucian was already running straight at Nero. Seeing the ice rising, he jumped high into the air and landed perfectly on top of one of the huge icy pillars. Now, there was only him and Nero standing face‑to‑face inside the frozen zone. “Now it’s just us,” Nero sneered, his voice echoing clearly in the cold air. “Your friends can’t step in to save you anymore. chapter 33: Teamwork
Nero slammed his hands down, and thick ice pillars shot up instantly to block the rain of lightning falling from the sky. But the lightning bolts were so strong that they smashed straight through the ice, shattering it into thousands of pieces. The force pushed Nero backwards, sliding him across the frozen ground. Lucian didn’t waste a single second. He dashed straight toward him, darting left and right so fast it was hard to track his movement. Nero saw him coming and quickly pushed himself backwards, gliding smoothly over the ice like he was skating. He gathered frost over his shoulder, shaping it into a long, sharp ice spear. With a sharp motion, he threw it straight at Lucian’s chest. Lucian’s eyes narrowed. He dashed sideways, letting the spear whistle past just inches from his face. Before Nero could move again, Lucian stepped right beside him and swung his leg hard in a roundhouse kick, his leg infused with mana essence. WHACK! The kick landed solidly. Nero grunted i
chapter 34: café and chills
After everything was settled and they were free to go, Lucian didn’t head straight back to the dorms as everyone expected. Instead, he turned to the others and said, “Let’s not go back yet… I feel like unwinding a bit. There’s a nice café nearby. Why don't we go chill there for a while?” They all agreed. After fighting for their lives and sitting through a long investigation, relaxing over a warm drink sounded perfect. But as they walked through the academy grounds, Lucian hardly said a word. He walked a few steps ahead, his head slightly bowed, his mind racing with heavy thoughts. Even though he had become a Three‑Star Hunter, a rank many students could only dream of reaching, today’s fight had shown him the ugly truth he was still far too weak. “I thought I was getting strong,” he kept thinking to himself, clenching and unclenching his fists. “I worked hard, trained every single day, and pushed my limits… but Nero was on a whole different level. Just one second‑year student, a
chapter 35: Ironaxe
They stepped out of the warm café and into the cool evening air. The sun was setting, painting the sky in shades of orange and purple. Everyone turned toward the direction of the dorms, ready to get some well‑earned rest after the chaos of the day.Lucian stopped walking and turned to face them.“Hey guys… " You all go on ahead,” he said casually, shoving his hands into his pockets. “I’ll catch up with you later. There’s somewhere I need to go first.”Latisha tilted her head, looking at him with a playful but curious smile. She stepped closer and poked his arm lightly.“Oh? And where is the mysterious Mr Lucian running off to at this hour?” she teased. “Don’t tell me you’re going to sneak off and train some secret forbidden technique all by yourself eh”Lucian laughed, shaking his head. “Nah, nothing like that. I’m just heading to the VR Arcade. To blow off some steam, I feel like getting in some special training. It’s the best place to test my limits safely without actually breaking
chapter 36: Rematch
Lucian’s eyes widened slightly as he read the name. A grin spread across his face instantly. Seraphina_X… he thought. Yeah, I remember her. She was really good. I barely managed to win last time. And she definitely wasn't happy about it. He chuckled softly to himself. “Well… I was just thinking about finding someone stronger. Looks like fate just handed me exactly what I wanted.” He accepted instantly. [INVITATION ACCEPTED] [CONNECTING…] [LOADING ARENA: SKY TEMPLE] The world dissolved into streams of light once more. When it solidified again, Lucian was standing high up in the clouds on a massive floating platform made of white marble and gold trim. Huge pillars rose around them, and the wind howled softly, making long ribbons of cloth tied to the pillars flutter wildly. Standing roughly twenty metres away was Seraphina. She looked just like she did the last time they fought wearing her fox mask, draped in a midnight-purple cloak. She held a Chain-Sickle Kusarigama
chapter 37: Rematch II
The air turned violet, filled with the deafening hum of dozens of spinning chains. Seraphina stood in the center of the storm, her midnight‑purple cloak fluttering wildly, looking completely in control. Her fingers moved like a pianist’s, guiding every single strand of the multiplied kusarigama with terrifying precision. “Let’s see you outplay this,” she called out, her voice sharp and confident. “I told you I analysed your whole fighting style. I know you like to wait for openings. But tell me… how do you catch something that’s everywhere at once?” She didn’t wait for an answer. Her wrist snapped forward, and the attack began. “Chain Mirage!” Dozens of iron weights and curved blades shot through the air at the same time, aiming specifically for every critical point on his body. cutting out every escape route. Lucian’s eyes darted everywhere at once, adrenaline spiking hard. “Okay… think. You can’t block all of them. You can’t grab all of them with aura and find a way through.”
chapter 38: Dark plot
While Lucian headed back to the dorms to rest, very different events were taking place deep inside the restricted section of the Academy, the area known as the Inner AcademyThis place was completely different from where the first‑years lived and trained. The buildings were grander, older, and filled with powerful magic formations. The air itself felt heavier, thicker with mana and only instructors and second years were allowed in.Inside a large well-lit office, decorated with expensive belonging to Professor Vorak, the Head instructor of the Second‑Year students. He was a tall, stern‑looking man with greying hair, sharp eyes, and an aura of absolute authority. He was widely known as one of the strongest teachers in the academy, but he was also famous for something else and that was his loyalty to the powerful factions that controlled the nation.Standing before his desk were Nero and the four students together whoshed Harry earlier. Their clothes were still torn and dirty from the f
chapter 39: Become my Disciple
The bell rang loud and clear, signalling the end of Kenshi's class which was the day's last. Everyone headed out. Just as he turned toward the exit, a calm firm hand grabbed his shoulder. “Kid… wait a moment will you” He turned around to face the owner of the familiar voice. It was Kenshi. “Hey Mr Kenshi, do you need me for anything?” “Of course son. It has been a while since I last saw you. I would like to have a word with you but first would you be willing to follow me home?” He froze. Ok that is out of the blue. What could it be? Lucian thought to himself. “Ok please help me carry some boxes. I received some high grade beast equipment I ordered” “Ok glad to help” “Alright follow me” Kenshi turned around leading him with a satisfied smile on his lips. They picked up the boxes and then moved out of the hall with Kenshi leading the way. He stroked his grey beard as he studied Lucian from head to toe on their way to his home. The house was located in the forest are
Chapter 40: Blazing sun sect
They sat opposite each other, only a few meters between them. Kenshi looked at Lucian before him. “What I am about to teach you is not the usual Hunter Combat System I teach in class,” he began, his voice calm but heavy with meaning. “First I am going to tell you a story of something far older, far greater, and far more dangerous than anything they teach within these walls. It is the legend of the Blazing Sun Sect, and the art they created called "The Way of the Phoenix.” He paused, letting those words hang in the quiet air words that had been silenced for centuries. “This style was created thousands of years ago, long before the Hunter Era even began. Its founder was a sage known as the Incarnation of the divine phoenix, a being said to possess the very essence of fire, rebirth, and unyielding strength. He forged a sect that became the greatest guardian order this realm had ever seen. For millennia, the Blazing Sun Sect stood as a shield and the strongest force on the continent
