Chapter 11: Alena 2
That boy's mother came around again, " The girl replied in a clearly disinterested tone. "She wanted to know how he was doing," Shalia added. What did you tell her?" Alena posed as she came to a stop before one of the two workstations in the room. One of the two workstations had all kinds of runes and artificial mana pathways carved onto it. The other workstation was just a table. It was to this second station that they moved to. This second station belonged to Shalia. Alena knew that the girl resented not being given a more 'magical' workstation to work with. Alena had set the condition that until she was certain that she could handle all the herbs even with her eyes closed, the table would remain her workstation. This, however, was a lie. Alena had secretly assessed the girl and Shalia didn't have even a lick of magical aptitude. Even with the most advanced magical workstation in the world, she wouldn't be able to do anything more than she was already doing with the table before the
Chapter 12: Alena 3
Alena had just begun to get engrossed when the door to the lab opened once more and Shalia walked back in with a tray full of the various herbs that Alena usually used to wipe down the boy. The break in her concentration forced Alena to stop with her observations for now. She, however, wasn't bothered by this. It had been a year since she'd last drawn any new inspirations from the workstation. When the girl came to stand beside her, Alena quietly picked the first herb from the tray and placed it in the center of her workstation. Part of the reason workstations were so useful was because the runes and enchantments carved onto them could draw on the ambient mana in the air to supplement the magi's own. Also, with some spells already carved onto it, she could activate them like flicking a switch on and off. Something especially useful in her case in particular as it allowed her to skip the strain that the use of magic usually put her body in. Picking one herb after another, Alena made
Chapter 13: Soul Stabilization Complete
After a week of being bedridden with nothing to look forward to other than the healer's visits, Greg had developed an almost Pavlovian reaction to the sound of the door to his room opening. No matter how deeply he was sleeping a moment before, hearing the door open would wake him right up. There were no clocks or timekeeping devices in the room. As such, out of habit, Greg immediately glanced toward the window on the far side of the room. It was usually left open during the daytime. His brows furrowed in confusion when he noted that it was late afternoon. The healer had never come around at this time. Furthermore, the healer always opened the door in one clean motion. She never opened it as slowly as the one behind the door seemed to be doing. It was almost as if the one behind the door was afraid of being discovered. When the door was fully open Greg immediately recognized the one behind the door. The confusion had been evident on Greg's face. What was Shalia doing here? Part of the
Chapter 14: Soul Stabilization Complete 2
Shalia had once tried to slip a few fingers into her vagina. By the second finger, her walls were squeezing her fingers rather snuggly. She hadn't tried to go beyond that as she couldn't imagine why she'd need to put anything bigger than that in there. As she looked at the boy's tool, however, she couldn't help but wonder if she had been wrong at the time. With a glance at the boy's face just to be sure that he was still sleeping, Shalia reached forward. At first, the girl just poked it with her finger before immediately withdrawing her hand as if she'd just poked a venomous snake. When she saw no reaction, either from the boy or his penis, Shalia got a little bolder. Holding the head between her thumb and index finger, she lifted the boy's dick to an upright position, turning it this way and that way to get a better picture of it. Before she knew it, Shalia had gotten bold enough to fully grab the thing in her hand just to get a feel of how big it actually was. All the contact, howe

The other thing of note that Greg noted was how much less rewarding 'safer' missions were. Being groped by the healer once would earn Greg sixty-seven thousand three hundred lust points. He'd just been groped by the town head's daughter and all he'd gotten for his trouble was a measly one thousand, two hundred points. And that was only because the system assigned the mission an Average danger grading. If the danger had been low or even none, then he wouldn't have even broken past a thousand. This came as a wake-up call to Greg. The numbers he'd been getting from the healer for the past week were an anomaly. Greg didn't know what background the healer had, or how powerful she actually was. He, however, doubted that there were many people who could compare to her. The same missions from most other individuals would only get him a small fraction of what that same mission would have earned him were the healer involved. The last thing of note was the fact that some of the milestone missio
Chapter 16: A honeyed Tongue...
"Hey! Are you okay?" Greg's face must have betrayed the mix of shock, fear, and excitement he felt at that moment. The shock and fear came from the realization that all this time, despite everything seeming like it was okay, his life had still been hanging in the balance. Greg didn't need any explanations to know what the system meant by soul stabilization. He wasn't from this world. He didn't even belong in the body he was currently in. He could still vaguely remember the void that he'd been in after he died on earth. Whatever it was, some powerful external force must have taken his soul from there and placed it within this body. All this time since he woke up in this body close to ten days ago, his soul had been slowly acclimatizing to it. Going by the alert from the system and what he himself was feeling, his soul seems to have established a stable connection with the body he was now in. Greg had no idea what any of the soul maladies listed were. He, however, couldn't shake the
Chapter 17: A honeyed Tongue 2
Perhaps it was because his soul hadn't been stabilized that Greg's senses hadn't been able to pick up on the dangerous aura around the woman. Now that he had, however, Greg wasn't willing to take the gamble. He might have gotten away with some things when he was bedridden and on the edge of death, but now that he was much better, he'd have to tread more carefully. "I'll do it myself," Greg said as he tried to push himself up off the bed. The effort, however, turned out to be more than his body could handle. Greg only managed to get his head and chest off the bed before he fell back into it, losing all strength. The healer, who was by now turning the used herbs into ash, didn't even look in his direction as she explained. "You haven't eaten or drunk anything over the past ten days. My magic is all that's been sustaining you," She stated. Greg's eyes went wide as it hit him. Ever since he'd woken up, he'd never felt hungry or thirsty. For whatever reason, this oddity had never occurred
Chapter 18: New features.
A sense of anticipation had been burning within him since the system announced that Greg's soul and body were stable enough to allow for more features to be deployed. He, however, had chosen to stay calm and allow the healer to finish with her work before he did anything. While the system itself was hidden from the sight of others, the motion of his eyes and his facial expressions wasn't. If Greg's eyes started moving from side to side as he read, the healer would probably notice. If he showed either surprise or joy on his face because of the new features that he discovered in the system, the healer would probably ask about it and he'd have no answers to give her. Despite everything that had happened between them and the fact that the healer didn't seem like a bad person, Greg still preferred to play his cards close to his chest. As such, it wasn't until the door to his room swung closed after the healer's exit that he opened up his system. Clicking on the words 'NEW FEATURES', Greg f
Chapter 19: New features 2
Ten thousand points were immediately deducted from Greg's total lust points as he clicked on the 'YES' button. The changes here were similar to the previous ones. About thirty new items appeared in the catalog. This time, the color of their price tag was a deep blue. The intermediate items got a second price tag, blue in color, which was ten times the green price tag and the basic items got a third price tag which was also blue and a hundred times their initial price. It seemed that for every tier that an item climbed from its initial tier, a zero was added to its price. The effectiveness of the items at this tier once again climbed. From the fifteen to thirty percent it was at the intermediate level, it grew to forty to sixty percent efficacy. After opening three tiers, Greg also noticed the fact that items in any given tier, never cost more than it did to access the tier. Basic items never went past a hundred lust points. Intermediate items never went past a thousand lust points, an
Chapter 20: New features 3
Given that the intermediate version of the magic shop would have cost Greg five million magic points at the very least, he'd have thought that the special shop would be much more expensive. To have it be the same price as the one in the Eros shop came as a surprise to Greg. After a while of studying the prompt, however, Greg noticed that the special shop came with the label 'BASIC'. It seems that the magic shop had more than one special shop. Greg had only gotten access to the lowest-ranked and cheapest one. Without much hesitation, Greg clicked on the 'YES' option and a million magic points vanished just like that. A new section of the magic shop appeared and in it, only one item was present. The image representation of the item was a small vial filled with a dark liquid full of shining spots like a clear sky on a starry night. The label called it an awakening potion. Greg didn't have the foggiest idea what the potion could do. Looking at its price, however, he couldn't help but wi
