chapter 11 : Like a reminder
"A Clock in an Immortal Realm?" Ngwan Le’s perception of the immortal world diverged sharply from common fantasy. He had envisioned a realm where eternity unfurled like an endless spring, where gods strode beneath star-dusted skies, and legendary treasures lay scattered upon mountains that scraped the heavens. In some respects, his imaginings held true. The very air thrummed with potent lifeforce. Artifacts that would have ignited wars in the mortal realm were discarded like forgotten tools. Landscapes stretched into infinity, dotted with valleys blooming with celestial herbs and islands that floated serenely in the sky. The sheer, unadulterated beauty was enough to steal a mortal’s breath and shatter his heart with awe. Yet, the reality proved far more perplexing than his expectations. As time wore on, a cascade of questions began to surface within him. Among them, one query gnawed at him with particular persistence, the enigma of his immediate surroundings. Trapped in a room
chapter 12 : Fear
Before him, the demon that had severed his leg retrieved the limb. Then, with a grotesque calm, it settled upon the very table where Ngwan Le had once slept. Bones cracked between its teeth, sinew snapped and tore, hot blood dripped down its chin as it chewed slowly, savoring each morsel. Its gaze, however, was not fixed on the flesh it consumed, but on Ngwan Le himself. It stared, poised to carve away another piece of his body the moment he dared to move. After all, it intended to devour Ngwan Le entirely. But Ngwan Le did not move. He did not even contemplate escape. His mind was consumed by a far more pressing matter. 'To think I even forgot the most important thing, With the strength I possess now, how am I supposed to kill a demon?' And so, the butchery continued. Piece by piece, the demon carved away his body and devoured it, until almost nothing remained. Yet, Ngwan Le did not scream during this agonizing ordeal. Despite the searing pain, even as his bones were pried from his
chapter 13 : Loophole
Who could have imagined, The very thing that had truly killed the demon was something so utterly obvious. Yes, the very object Ngwan Le had wielded, the same thing he used to destroy the creature. Before that moment, as the creature froze in sheer terror, Ngwan Le, still not fully understanding why, simply watched. One second, his hand had been severed. The next, the figure that had cut it off stood completely still. Rather than strike back, as was his ingrained rule, Ngwan Le simply moved. The demon did not. Even as he circled around it, hands clasped behind his back, the being remained motionless, like a statue carved from lifeless ice. Even after realizing this, Ngwan Le did not attack. “Not yet,” he whispered. He walked toward the entrance of the house, the one without a door. After stepping outside, he turned back to face the demon once more. 'Now it is certain,' he thought. 'No matter what I do, it won’t move.' Then, he wondered again, 'Was there supposed to be a loophole? Had
chapter 14 : The usual way
The moment he stepped out of the house’s entrance, Ngwan Le’s eyes widened further. This experience had truly surpassed his expectations. 'What could have gone wrong?' he wondered. And to finalize it, the system’s voice made him kneel. [No fragment found. Re-initiating Sequence Two.] Yes, Ngwan Le was in that furnace-like room, kneeling. He found himself in this very space the instant he had stepped out of the doorless house. His eyes hadn’t even closed, they remained wide open. To him, it was as if the room had materialized suddenly. “I died, but how?” he affirmed the truth. With both hands on the ground, Ngwan Le pushed himself up as the system’s countdown neared one. 'Damn,' he spoke in his inner voice. Then, before long, in that same house, at that same spot, in that same world, Ngwan Le stood. With his hands resting on his lap as he sat on the table, his gaze shifted toward the outside before he recalled something. It was after he had completed Sequence One. Though he was stil
chapter 15 : Memory
And that was how Ngwan Le’s thoughts drifted back to the first time he had used that strange power. He stood on a cliff edge, seven hundred meters above the valley below. A man, almost five feet tall, square-faced, built like half a bear, balanced with his back to the drop. Brown skin, black eyes, and a chest that flexed as he gauged his strength. “One more fight and I’ll break through the 3-cycle realm,” he said aloud, testing the pressure of his power along his spine. He turned, and below him, at the foot of the cliff, a small boy stood watching. “I’ve heard of your exploits as a peak 2-cycle powerhouse,” the boy called up. “Are you a fan?” the man grunted, irritation flashing across his features. 'Not now. I don’t have time for this.' The man was Mastearu, a warrior whose growth came through combat. He became stronger by fighting, refining technique, hardening spirit, stacking experience. Fighting was not a pastime for Mastearu, it was his method, his ritual, and he never stop
Chapter 16 : The star of non existence
Mastearu’s voice cracked through the arena like a blade. “What do you think of this, Ngwan Le? Show me your cockiness again—let me see it!” Ngwan Le stood motionless, his body still as stone. He had been pushed three steps back after taking Mastearu’s first strike head-on. The ground beneath him bore the marks of impact, dust curling around his feet. Yet he didn’t fall. Mastearu had launched forward again, all the Inugura Basic Forms. Each motion carried speed and precision—perfect sequences of offense and control. Ngwan Le met them all directly, never dodging, never flinching. Even the twelfth form—Fist of Circling Arrows: Arrows Flow Like Water—landed squarely, the force echoing through the arena walls. But Ngwan Le stood firm. “He’s frozen like ice,” Mastearu whispered between breaths. “And still none of my attacks make him bend.” Ten steps. That was all. Ten steps back—that was the furthest Ngwan Le had moved since the fight began. Every strike Mastearu threw had sent him ba
Chapter 17 : just like the first time
Then, like a spear of destiny, a single stroke of light descended into a god realm—one already partially ravaged, with a tenth of its lands destroyed by earlier chaos. The light struck a building, piercing the sky above it like the tip of a divine lance. Yet, astonishingly, the structure remained intact. Not a single shard of stone or glass shifted. The world outside returned to calm as if nothing had happened. But inside the building… everything changed. It was underground, in the hidden depths where three people lived and worked—not freely, but confined by duty and circumstance. The walls of the subterranean chamber hummed faintly, reacting to forces beyond comprehension. “The boundary… it’s fluctuating,” said a woman, her beauty almost hypnotic, her gaze sharp and unwavering. Her next words were interrupted by a tall man clad in red. His voice carried urgency. “What’s strange about it… doesn't it always fluctuates whenever someone tries to pierce the boundary with their eyes a
Chapter 18 : Cut through with speed
A thought drifted across Ngwan Le’s mind like smoke. Will I repeat this sequence again? And when he took his resolve, a voice echoed through the silence — as though solidifying his resolve or so he thought But it wasn’t. It was the interface sequence completion announcement. --- Though Ngwan Le cut through the sequences like a blade through still water, each battle left him heavier, slower, more drained. His power had grown with every fragment embedded in his body, but so too waa the demoms at each sequence. Each new sequence he faced had far more stronger demon, stranger, more relentless than the last. Some were table-shaped monstrosities, others mimicked humans, beasts, or serpents. He met cat-like predators with faces twisted in fury, dog-like abominations that breathed fire, and grotesque human forms that walked backward yet fought forward. He didn’t flinch. None of it impressed him. Even when faced with demons built for pure body enhancement, Ngwan Le only sighed and mov
Chapter 19 : Life worthness
A crimson beam sliced through the air, cutting toward Ngwan Le. Instinct took over—he twisted mid-jump, the red light grazing his abdomen and scorching the air where he’d just been.Swoosh.He vanished in an instant—Corrupt Displacement. Space folded, and Ngwan Le reappeared above his target. His leg came crashing down like a striker’s final kick.Bastard Dog looked up calmly through his gleaming laser goggles. His crimson shield flared to life around him. Confidence radiated from his stance—it wasn’t arrogance but certainty. The Laser Shield could withstand strikes from warriors three major realms above his own.And yet—The impact shattered the shield as if it were glass. Energy rippled through the field, tearing through the air. Bastard Dog rapidly dodged the blow, while flinging the Telescopic-Eyes Demon backward at the same time.“How… How did he break my shield? That pressure—his aura isn’t even above mine!”Bastard Dog straightened, dust swirling around him. “You haven’t answer
chapter 20: Out at last
The demoness grinned. “I can finally step on his body,” it hissed, striding toward Ngwan Le’s figure. The air rippled around her as she raised one clawed foot— But a voice stopped her. “Wait.” It was Bastard Dog—the creature that. “Something’s wrong,” Bastard Dog growled. “He’s still standing.” The demoness blinked, annoyed. “What are you saying?” With a wave of its hand it exclaimed. “It isn’t strange! Many humans die while standing. Don’t tell me you, Bastard Dog, are afraid?” The demoness threw her head back and laughed wildly. “Hahaha—!” Tears glimmered in its eyes as it laughter shook the ground. Then the demoness stopped. Bastard Dog’s gaze had shifted—cold, sharp, focused. But it wasn’t aimed at the demoness. Not again, the demoness thought, it's mind trembling. That feeling—being ignored—it hated it more than death itself. Yes to the demoness Bastard Dog reaction was like ignoring it's presence The demoness turned and froze. Ngwan Le was still standing. His shadow st
