Chapter 1: Enter The Apocalypse
[ Choose the Apocalypse you wish to face. ] It was exactly 12:00 PM on a Monday when everything began. "So it’s actually happening..." Max murmured while staring at the message floating before him. Four monitors were already arranged across his desk, so the sudden appearance of a fifth “screen” immediately threw him off. Still, panic never came. After all, he had worked as a cybersecurity ethicist before moving into systems engineering. His natural reaction wasn’t fear—it was analysis. He wanted to trace the source, to understand how this strange system was functioning. Especially since the message wasn’t appearing on any of his physical monitors. Instead, it seemed to exist directly in his vision, as though it were projected into his eyes—or perhaps a holographic display visible only to him. ‘What kind of tech even does this? Some kind of neural interface? There’s no way I’m hallucinating… right?’ Max wondered as he read the text again. [ Choose the Apocalypse you wish to fac
Chapter 2: Enter The Apocalypse II
"No freaking way..."Max stared in disbelief as the world around him dissolved into pure white. He clearly remembered that more than six minutes were still left on the timer!Yet somehow, the system had malfunctioned and locked in the last Apocalypse option he had been examining. For a moment he tried to process what had happened, but he barely had the chance before new messages began appearing in front of him.[ Welcome to the Solvarian Continent ][ The fate of this continent now rests upon you! Survive, earn the title destined for you, and preserve your own world! ][ Every Survivor will awaken a Unique Talent that will aid them in survival. ][ Before you begin, you may select one of the 10 Basic Caches prepared by the Lord of the Realms. ][ You have 10 minutes to choose. ][ Energy Cache ][ Entertainment Cache ][ Food Cache ][ Medical Cache ][ Shelter Cache ][ Stealth Cache ][ Survival Tools Cache ][ Transport Cache ][ Water Cache ][ Weapon Cache ]Max frowned as he rea
Chapter 3: The Choice
Max moved his attention toward the Survival Tools Cache."I’ll go with you..."[ You have selected the Survival Tools Cache. ][ You may now receive your Talent. ]Max could only hope he hadn’t made the wrong call. The truth was, he had no idea where he would appear. The fire starter meant he could produce heat and cook food—assuming he managed to find any—without depending entirely on luck. The pocket knife was small, but reliable. It could serve for cutting, carving, or even self-defense if things got desperate. The rope and compass would help with movement and navigation through unknown territory, while the whistle and thermal blanket might very well keep him alive in emergencies.Compared to a revolver with limited bullets, these tools felt more dependable. They could be reused again and again, lasting much longer—so long as he wasn’t thrown straight into combat the moment he arrived in the starting region."Hmm?"At that moment, Max noticed something new in the corner of his visi
Chapter 4: SSS?
Max immediately focused on the panel again, his gaze locking onto the Talent section.[ Talent: Infinite Cache (SSS) ]SSS? Max felt a surge of excitement rush through him. In almost every game he had ever played, an SSS rating meant the absolute top tier."Let’s see, then." he muttered, tapping on the talent to read its description.[ Infinite Cache (SSS): You may claim an unlimited number of Caches whenever you wish. There are no limits on frequency, quantity, or category. This talent provides continuous access to resources, guaranteeing that Caches remain available whenever you decide to obtain them. ]Max stared at the words.Even though the name had already hinted at it, seeing the description spelled out still left him stunned."Unlimited… Caches?"His pulse quickened as the meaning truly settled in. He could hear the thumping of his own heartbeat. This ability… it was incredible. He could claim as many Caches as he wanted—no cooldowns, no restrictions, no caps of any kind.Sure
Chapter 5: Lose The Beginner Protection
Max held the spare ammunition in his hand, and thankfully, it slid neatly into another pocket. It sat snugly inside, secured well enough that it wouldn’t fall out while he moved. Once everything was arranged, he felt somewhat prepared. "Alright. Organized." Now that he understood the items couldn’t be returned to his Inventory, he made a mental note not to open any more Caches unless it was truly necessary. Still, Max decided to open the Cache Selection panel again so he could store more unopened packs in his Inventory. [ Inventory: Energy Cache (Basic) ×1 Entertainment Cache (Basic) ×1 Food Cache (Basic) ×5 Medical Cache (Basic) ×1 Shelter Cache (Basic) ×1 Stealth Cache (Basic) ×1 Survival Tools Cache (Basic) ×1 Transport Cache (Basic) ×1 Water Cache (Basic) ×5 Weapon Cache (Basic) ×1 ] That process had taken quite a while since there was no option to select multiple Caches at once. He had to add each one individually. Even so, he deliberately stored extra Food and W
Chapter 6: Underground
Max’s eyes widened as the vibration beneath his boots grew stronger. Crank! A loud scrape of metal against metal echoed through the scrapyard, and a section of twisted debris shifted. He immediately pivoted toward the sound and froze. "Ahhh..." Max’s breath hitched. Something was moving. A massive pile of junk that had seemed immovable moments ago revealed a hidden secret: a hatch cleverly concealed beneath the mess. Barbed wire slid aside as it creaked open, only ten meters away. Max instantly dropped into a combat stance, tightening his grip on the hatchet while drawing the revolver. He wasn’t an expert, but years of airsoft practice counted for something. Now, it mattered more than ever—though the bullets were real. Still, he reminded himself: the system had said enemies couldn’t enter his Beginner Protection zone. Anyone here was likely neutral—or at least not immediately hostile. So I’m not alone, huh… The system had promised a starter region, but it had never said he w
Chapter 7: The Ark
Max couldn’t help but be impressed by The Ark’s organization. It was far more structured than he had expected. If the Mech Siege hit, this place would give him a real advantage. He and Corin continued along the narrow, sloped pathway. Rusted pipes, dangling wires, and old support beams crisscrossed overhead. The shelter felt like it had been built piece by piece, patched together from whatever scraps were available.Just as Max opened his mouth to ask about the A.I. Armageddon, Corin spoke first, as if reading his thoughts."By the way… I know you’ve got a ton of questions. Who’s here, what’s going on, why the A.I. hasn’t wiped us out yet…" He shrugged. "Don’t expect all the answers. We’ll tell you what you need to know. The rest? Learn it as you go."Max nodded. Fair enough. The narrow path finally opened into a larger chamber. The first thing he noticed were box-like partitions—probably the residents’ rooms. Flickering LED panels, patched-together generators, and crates of supplies
Chapter 8: 12?
For a few moments, the chamber fell silent. The four stared at Max, their earlier anxiety about families or pets now replaced by curiosity."Twelve…?" Xander muttered, adjusting his cracked glasses. "We only got a few. Why would the System give you so many?"After hearing about the others’ choices, they realized there were nine known Apocalypses: Alien Invasion, A.I. Armageddon, Deep Sea Awakening, Demon Invasion, Divine Judgment, Magic War, Parasitic Evolution, Ragnarök, and Zombie Outbreak."What are those missing Apocalypses?" Ryan asked, genuinely puzzled. He couldn’t think of any others.Aya tilted her head thoughtfully. "Does that mean… you’re special? Chosen? Or… different somehow?"Max shook his head firmly. "No. I don’t think it’s about being chosen."Then, he listed the remaining Apocalypses he’d been offered. As expected, they all looked amazed: Dragon Awakening, Fairy Realm Collision, and Lycans versus Vampires."Ahhh! That’s a waste! I should’ve gotten Lycan…" Ryan exclai
Chapter 9: My Talent… Caches
Gulp… Feeling felt the weight of the moment, Max swallowed hard. He had to reveal his Talent eventually, though he wasn’t sure how much to share. His ability was… unusual. Far too unusual. At first, it had been modest enough: [ Weekly Gift Cycle (Rare) ] It allowed him three Caches of his choice every week. Decent, considering there were ten options, letting him pick what he needed depending on circumstances. Then, something unexpected had happened. A glitch flashed across his vision, the system stuttered, and when it stabilized, his Talent had evolved—or completely transformed. [ Infinite Cache (SSS): You can claim an unlimited number of Caches at any time. No restrictions on frequency, quantity, or type. This Talent grants continuous access to supplies, ensuring Caches are always available whenever you choose to obtain them. ] Max still didn’t fully understand why. He certainly wasn’t going to explain all the details just yet—it would only open a floodgate of questions. Wha
Chapter 10: Earn It?
Both Corin and Zayne frowned upon seeing their arrival.Their presence immediately shifted the atmosphere.Even without their introduction, each of them seemed arrogant with their eyes sweeping over the new recruits like they were some sort of products."You..."Aya stiffened as all three of them looked at her with a familiar gaze.It was a lecherous gaze that was unashamed, and it made her instinctively take a step back. Max and everyone else noticed this.Ryan and Xander exchanged uneasy glances.Although they were both Level 1, they would definitely fight if these three dared to do something inappropriate. The two Scouts also noticed this, so they had to mediate. They didn’t like these men either, but they kept their composure.Corin cleared his throat."Ahem... These are the operations leaders of The Ark. They oversee the divisions and keep the shelter running."Zayne added, "They are the sons of the Elder, the one who originally managed this place. Age has forced him to step back
