CHAPTER HUNDRED AND TWENTY-ONE Desmond had no regret for what he said, and even when it was very obvious that he had infuriated the two people standing tall before him, he didn’t seem to care. “Even with a hundred men, you will never be able to get what you want. That vengeance shall never be yours to take.” “Did you hear that?!” Bianca said to her son, urging him to attack with her eyes. “I want you to make his death so painful and slow that he will beg for the reaper to come for his soul, but it will almost take forever.” Kean nodded with a wry smile. “Trust me, mother.” He returned his flaming eyes to Desmond and nodded again.“I am going to make sure that all his bones are broken.” Desmond scoffed, and then he spread his arms widely like he was surrendering his entire body. “Go ahead then. I guess you are never going to listen.” He took a deep breath, his eyes urging Kean to do his worst. At that moment, Kean felt the surge to attack crawling into him, but a thought sudde

She took a deep breath, and then she took three steps backward. “I didn’t know.” She muttered, and Desmond nodded with a smirk.“Now you know, Mara.” He drew closer to her, and with a smile, he grabbed her by the hand, looking into her eyes. “I made a promise to you, Mara. I don’t intend to break that promise for any reason.” Desmond assured without letting go of his smile, and Mara responded with a quick nod, forcing a smile. She was still curious, but it didn’t look like she was ever going to get the chance to satisfy her curiosity, especially at that moment when Desmond seemed too sweet for her to want to ruin that moment. Just then, the Doctor walked out of the ward, reminding them of the serious situation that had brought them to the hospital.Desmond’s mood switched instantly, his eyes widening as they sort to know what news the Doctor had for them.“How is he, Doctor?” He inquired,
