CHAPTER 11
Sasha had to watch the replay to understand what exactly happened.Crusher was squeezing Tucker from behind.Tucker’s body was completely cracking and breaking. It looked like Crusher was in full control.A loss seemed inevitable for Sasha’s robot. But then, Tucker rolled forward with a sudden burst of momentum and threw Crusher off his back.Crusher hit the ropes on the edge of the stage and bounced off back toward Tucker.Grinning, he threw a punch at Tucker, but Tucker dodged it and drove his fist right through Crusher’s head. The seemingly simple punch dug a hole through Crusher’s head and incapacitated him. There was silence. An utter silence on stage and off the stage for a brief moment. The referee and the reporters couldn’t believe what just happened. They were all expecting for Crusher to get his hundredth victory, but that didn’t happen. Instead, it was Crusher who got crushed.Sasha couldn’t believe it, either, but she quickly ran onto the stage and gave Tucker a big hug, w
CHAPTER 12
Sasha kneeled in the center of the room, naked, her wrists already bound behind her back with rough hemp rope that Tucker had cinched tight enough to leave impressions on her skin. She shivered, not from cold but from the weight of anticipation. He stood behind her, one hand tangled in her hair while the other worked the rope harness across her chest, the coarse fibers biting into the soft flesh of her breasts. He tugged the rope once more, pulling her head back until her throat was exposed. “Is this what you want?”"Yes." The word came out breathless as her lips touched his artificial cock from below. “Show me all your new features.”Using the 100,000 nex, she didn’t just get any simple upgrade. She gave Tucker a premium penis. One that was electrically chargeable and could go on for a long time.Sasha did not know how the real cock smelled. So she gasped at the sight of his chest rising and falling in slow, deliberate breaths. Every muscle was defined under the dim light, and betwee
CHAPTER 13
The Circuit was an entertainment wrapped around survival. It provided a path for robots to climb, and for their owners to climb along with them. Thanks to the overwhelming success of the Circuit over the past century or so, many cities had become arenas, where corporations gambled fortunes, and the guilds and the nations scouted living weapons. When a promising robot showed up on stage, it was common for them to be bought for a price by the higher individuals or organizations.Sasha also got so many offers that she wasn’t able to breathe freely. But then Sasha opened her eyes and found herself lying on the bed.“Tsk, that was all a dream?” she was disappointed. “Mm?”She looked to her right. The television was still running, but the surprising part was that Tucker was watching it.The financial reports, the arena advertisements and some live competitions of the Circuit.Just then, she heard a calling bell.“Check it,” Sasha said.Tucker went out of the room and then brought back a pape
CHAPTER 14
“Say that again?” Sasha wanted to hear what Tucker just said.“After I beat Steel Jackal, can I take his gear?” Tucker asked calmly.Sasha’s expression changed. She quickly checked online to see the rules, only to get disappointed. “No. You can destroy your opponent’s equipment, but you can’t take it.”“Why not?”“Because it’d be stealing. A Keeper spends lots of money on their robots. You can just steal their robots’ gear just because you won the match.”“Mm…” Tucker squinted his eyes. “If I can’t take his gear, then I’ll just destroy his core.”Sasha sighed. “As if it’s that easy. Steel Jackal is a veteran among veterans. I’ll find the footage of his previous matches and send it to your drive. Analyze them and learn his patterns.”Tucker remained silent.“Where’s your answer?” Sasha looked at him coldly. He reluctantly nodded.Afterward, Sasha left home.Tucker stood on the charging pad and used the electrical energy to cultivate himself. “My sync rate is still at 0.94 percent. This
CHAPTER 15
The match day arrived.Tucker’s match was allotted to an arena with 1000 seats, and it was fully packed.“Each ticket price is worth at least 2200 nex,” Sasha was checking her gadget screen. “Just from this match, they will earn 2, 200,000 nex. Yet they give us 10,000 nex or 20,000 nex if we win this match. The winner’s prize is too low in F-rank matches. We have to win 8 more matches if we want to apply for an E-rank opponent.”She looked at Tucker who was meditating with his eyes closed.“Was he a monk in his past life?” Sasha wondered because she did not see any exhibition of nervousness or anxiousness from him.Unlike him, Sasha was nervous. She wasn’t expecting there to be a crowd. What’s more, they were all on Steel Jackal’s side. She could hear them shouting they wanted to see the execution of the arrogant X-grade.The announcer's voice then thundered throughout the stadium. "Ladies and gentlemen! We have an interesting game before us. Tucker vs Steel Jackal."Both offline and

Robots had different modes they could use so they could optimize their work. Some modes include Berserker Mode, Fortress Mode, Phantom Mode, Bloodhound mode, Overclock mode, Frenzy Mode, Execution Mode, and Predator Mode.Every mode provided different facilities. For instance, in the Juggernaut mode, the armor plates locked together and spinal boosters provided unstoppable forward momentum, making the robot into a fast-moving tank.Certain gear was required to use these modes. One gear set typically didn’t provide all these modes. Even high level gear sets only provided a few of these modes.Steel Jackal just activated the Deep Predator Mode, which mixed both martial arts, top robotic tech and high-level predictive programming to analyze and predict opponent’s reaction timing, foot placement and dodge direction. On top of that, Steel Jackal’s pain limiters shut off, energy consumption doubled, speed increased by thirty percent, and claw acceleration increased dramatically.Sasha ploppe
CHAPTER 17
The match ended in Tucker’s victory. But not a single person from the audience stood to cheer for Tucker. They all cursed him and yelled at him for making them lose their money.Being seen as an enemy was nothing new for Tucker, but it had been a while since he last felt such unwarranted animosity directed at him.But then Tucker’s ears heard the voice of his owner, Sasha. She was clapping for him.She was the only one who was celebrating his success. For a brief moment, his childhood friend’s image flashed in Tucker’s mind. She also rooted for his success, but she was brutally killed by a drunk martial artist. Her entire family was killed that night. Their only mistake was being weak in an era where strength dictated everything. Now, Sasha was also rooting for him. Sasha might have selfish reasons behind supporting him, but Tucker appreciated her effort and blew a flying kiss at her.Sasha’s eyes turned into heart symbols. “D-Did he just send a flying kiss at me?” She nearly fainted i
CHAPTER 18
The door opened.A group of people were playing cards and smoking and drinking. They saw Tucker, but they ignored him and continued what they were doing.“Show,” one man tossed his cards on the table. He had little to no hair on his head. The others slapped the table in frustration. “Dammit! You won again! How can you win ten times in a row? Are you cheating us?”“Hey, you are hurt because I won ten times in a row,” the winner snorted. “How much more should I be hurt because I lost my main horse Steel Jackal. I made millions with his reputation, but all of that was ruined by some trash X-grade robot which doesn’t even have a one percent sync rate.”His gaze finally landed on Tucker.“Why are you here? Where is your master?” the bald man asked.“Are you Steel Jackal’s sponsor?”“I’m not just his sponsor. I’m also his master,” the bald man replied coldly. “Tell me… how did you win against him? Others might have considered it as luck, but that couldn’t have been luck.”“I won because Ste
CHAPTER 19
The old robot’s arm moved like a blur.Tucker stepped aside, moving just out of the opponent’s reach. He swiveled, and the next moment, his shin struck the old man’s diaphragm, sending him packing over the bald man and into the wall behind. The cigar dropped from the bald man’s mouth. The others sitting at the table went absolutely silent. The bald man gritted his teeth and looked back at his robot. “How could you get hit by that pathetic robot, Orion?”The old robot, Orion, frowned as he got back up. “Forgive me, Master Blake. I thought I hit him, but he used some kind of trick.”“Don’t give lame excuses and beat him, or I’ll throw you to mecha pigs.”Mecha pigs were machine pigs made specifically to eat the junk part of robots. They automatically processed and reproduced what they ate into pure metals.Orion’s eyes glowed yellow. He leaped again. He was so fast this time, the floor cracked under his feet.A gust of wind blew past the people he passed by and sent files and poker cards
CHAPTER 20
Sasha watched the parrot vehicle disappear into the distance. She looked at her wrist gadget. There were no messages from sponsors. Not a single one.“I thought messages would come pouring in, but why isn't anyone interested in Tucker?” she frowned. “Is it because he’s an X-grade?”Even though Tucker had won against Steel Jackal, Tucker’s sync rate was still below 1 percent, so Sasha thought that the sponsors might be thinking that he won by a fluke or something.“X-grade… Why did Dad have to buy an X-grade? It would have been nice if he bought a G-grade robot, but then again, the cost gets doubled.”It cost 25,000 nex to buy Tucker, but even base variants among G-grade robots would cost at least 50,000 nex.Sasha deeply sighed. “Let’s see how far I can go with Tucker. If it doesn’t work, then I’ll find another way.”She entered the room.To her surprise, her parents were on the couch, watching the Circuit matches.“Dad? Mom? What are you doing here?” she wasn’t expecting to see them o
