Ch 16 - Pt 2 Weapon of Mastery
Just then, a soldier walked over to their group. His face was serious and formal.“Tyda.”Tyda turned toward him. “Yeah?”The soldier crossed his arms and looked him up and down.“Do you still want to keep going?”Tyda blinked. “Keep going with what?”“The rest of the trial,” the soldier answered, looking straight into his eyes. “You survived the Second Trial, but the test is not over yet. So… do you want to continue?”Tyda immediately jumped to his feet.“Of course I do!”The healer sitting nearby nearly fell off his chair in surprise.“Sit down! You need rest!”Tyda completely ignored him. He stretched both arms over his head, then jumped once. Twice. Three times. His face lit up with excitement.“WOOOAH!”He touched his chest, then his ribs, then his shoulders, checking every part of his body.“No pain at all! It feels like I was never even hurt!”He jumped again, higher this time. Still nothing hurt.“Hahaha! This is amazing! I actually feel stronger than before!”He moved around
Ch 17 - Pt 1 The Third Trial
Fourteen examinees remained standing in the center of the Eastern Garrison.Maya, Rona, Bren, Bram, Bigolo, Judy, Glendo, Marco, Mary, Reaver, Kota, Lora, Fulei… and finally, Tyda. These were the ones who had survived the first two difficult trials. They stood in a single straight line, facing the viewing platform. Some had fresh bruises or swelling on their faces. Others had torn clothes and scraped skin. A few hid their tiredness better than the rest, keeping their shoulders high and their breathing steady. But every single one of them stayed on their feet. That alone showed how determined they were.General Wensel stepped forward. His heavy green armor caught the bright sunlight and shone as his sharp eyes moved slowly across every candidate. The whole garrison grew quiet. Even the guild commanders stopped talking and leaned forward in their seats. The soldiers along the walls stood up straight. Everyone waited to hear what would decide their future.General Wensel crossed his arms
Ch 17 - Pt 2 The Third Trial
General Wensel waited until everyone had picked their weapon. Then his face turned completely serious and hard.“The third trial begins now.”The atmosphere grew heavy and tense. A deep silence fell over the entire garrison.General Wensel raised his arm high.“Soldiers. Take your positions.”BOOM.Heavy footsteps shook the ground as ten soldiers stepped into the center of the field. They moved in perfect order and stopped in a straight line facing the examinees.Every single one carried a different weapon. Every single one looked dangerous and ready to fight.General Wensel pointed at them one by one and called out their classes.“Knight.”A soldier in heavy armor stepped forward. He held a large shield in one hand and a long sword in the other. Symbols glowed faintly on his armor, showing it was strengthened with magic.“Guardian.”A huge man carrying an even bigger shield walked up next to him. He looked strong enough to stop a running bull with just his body.“Mage.”A woman holdi
Ch 18 - Pt 1 Mana Synergy
The soldiers were slowly starting to lose their advantage. At first, none of them expected the examinees to push back this hard. They were elite Tier 5 fighters, men and women who had survived many battles. Going up against a group of young people—most of whom had barely left their home villages—should have been an easy task. But it wasn’t. Especially not because of one boy standing right in the middle of the field. The boy who had no mana at all.The Knight wiped sweat from his forehead and clicked his tongue, looking annoyed.“Tsk. Do you all really think you can win just because you’ve held your ground for a few minutes?”Outside the fighting area, the group of candidates who had already failed watched in total silence. Their eyes followed every move, every clash of weapons, every spell cast, every swing that cut through the air.One young man swallowed hard, his voice tight with excitement.“The fight is getting more intense every second. They’re actually matching them blow for bl
Ch 18 - Pt 2 Mana Synergy
General Wensel watched quietly from the side of the field. A small, satisfied smile appeared on his face.Marco noticed his expression and walked over, keeping his guard up.“Old man. What is that ability they’re using?”General Wensel glanced at him.“It’s called Mana Synergy. It’s a high-level skill only used by the best trained units. It connects their mana and their senses, turning a group of separate people into one single fighting force.”Mary crossed her arms and listened closely.“Oh. So that’s what it is. I’ve read about it in books, but I’ve never actually seen it used in battle.”Marco nodded grimly.“I have seen it before. Once.”Several examinees turned toward him, curious to hear more.Marco’s eyes drifted into the distance as a memory came back to him.“When I was much younger, I went along on a royal hunting trip. We traveled deep into a high-level dungeon. There were hundreds of dangerous monsters everywhere.”He paused, his voice growing softer.“My father—King Achfr
Ch 19 - Pt 1 Together
“Mana Synergy.”Bigolo’s voice rang out clearly across the battlefield. In the next moment, bright golden mana burst outward from their group, rolling over the whole garrison like a warm, powerful wave.Every soldier froze in place. Every examinee stopped moving. Even the leaders up on the viewing platform leaned forward, staring in disbelief at the group of young fighters from Lerin Village.General Wensel narrowed his eyes, watching the golden light swirl and link each of them together. So they actually did it. I heard they grew up as orphans in that small village, raised side by side. No wonder they can connect their mana so naturally. Still… isn’t this way too soon for them? Most experienced adventurers spend years just trying to learn the basics of this skill. His face stayed calm, but his eyes held deep interest. They probably don’t know the cost yet. The longer you keep Synergy active, the heavier the strain on your body and mind. It uses up energy and focus faster than any nor
Ch 19 - Pt 2 Together
Suddenly, the battle shifted again. The soldiers increased their pressure to a whole new level. The Knight shouted a command.“Tighten the formation!”Right away, all ten soldiers moved as one. Their own Mana Synergy grew stronger. Golden lightning wrapped tight around their bodies, crackling and popping loudly. Their weapons glowed so bright it hurt to look at them. Their movements became even smoother, faster, and sharper than before. The Guardian charged forward like a moving wall. The Brawler followed close behind, his fists ready to smash anything in his path. The Mage cast spell after spell, filling the air with explosions. The Bow Master released arrows that seemed to come from nowhere. The Assassin vanished completely, striking from shadows that shouldn’t have existed. The examinees struggled just to hold their ground. The pressure became overwhelming—heavy enough to crush a normal person instantly.Tyda kept moving. He refused to stop. His whole body screamed from exhaustion.
Ch 20 - Pt 1 The Third Trial Ends
Reaver, Marco, and Kota rushed forward at the exact same moment. The three quickly took their positions at the front line, while the other examinees shifted smoothly into supporting roles right behind them.Marco gripped his spear tightly. Bright golden mana swirled around his body, and intense flames slowly wrapped around the blade until the metal turned red-hot. His eyes stayed locked on the enemy formation, focused completely.“Let’s finish this. We’ve already come this far, and I’m not planning to lose here.”The soldiers tightened their ranks, raising their shields and holding their weapons ready. One of them, a veteran with scars across his face, smirked with confidence.“Big words coming from a bunch of kids. Show us what you’ve really got.”Marco smiled coldly.“Gladly.”A wave of golden fire burst outward, bringing a rush of heat with it.[Spiral Flame]Flames spun rapidly around Marco as he dashed forward. His spear cut through the air with terrifying speed, forcing the Knig

Then suddenly, the soldiers changed their plan completely. The Enchanter slammed his staff down onto the ground. Thick, glowing chains of mana shot up from the earth right under Marco’s feet.“What?!”The chains wrapped instantly around his legs and held him tight. The Knight rushed straight toward him, lifting his sword high to strike. At the same time, other soldiers surrounded Mary. Dark, solid barriers rose up around her, cutting her off from her friends. The Mage and Guardian worked together to lock her inside a magical cage.Mary clicked her tongue, looking annoyed.“This is a pain. Really annoying.”The soldiers smiled and moved closer.“We’ve got them. The strongest ones are trapped.”Marco pulled hard against the chains, but they only tightened around him. Mary stayed inside the barrier, unable to break it open fast enough. The situation turned dangerous in just a few seconds.Lora noticed right away, her eyes widening in alarm.“Marco! Mary!”Fulei quickly fired several invi
Ch 21 - Pt 1 The Classless
General Wensel stepped forward and looked across the wide training grounds. His sharp eyes moved over every examinee still standing. He took note of their injuries, their posture, and the determination still burning in their looks.“The Third Trial has ended.”His voice was loud and clear, carrying all the way across the garrison.“All fourteen examinees who remain, line up immediately. We will now check your Tier Rank using the Mana Crystal. Based on the result, you will receive your class recommendation and your next path forward.”The tired examinees slowly gathered in front of the high platform. Some walked with a limp, supported by their friends. Others were covered in bruises, cuts, and dried blood. Even so, bright smiles could be seen on most of their faces. They had made it. Against trained soldiers and against great odds, they had survived.Tyda stood at the very end of the line. His whole body still ached, even after the simple healing he had received earlier. The bandages w
