CHAPTER NINETY-TWO The air in the room thickened with a lot of tension, and while Caroline was still trying to get a grip on herself, Noah nudged Rufus in an attempt to get his attention, but he refused to look at him while he kept his eyes on Oliver who was still fuming with so much anger inside him. “I really think we should leave this place, Rufus. This is getting out of hand.” Noah whispered to Rufus with a nervous tone, but he stood his ground. “Didn’t you hear me? I asked you to call your Manager! Do it now!”“Please, Mr. Garcia! You don’t need to do this, we can settle it amicably.” Caroline pleaded, but her plea landed on deaf ears. She looked at Rufus almost immediately, giving him gestures to leave, but he refused to listen to her. “If you do not call your Manager right now, I am going to write a bad review about this place, and I will make sure you lose your job! I swear!”“No, please! You don’t have to do that, Mr. Garcia! I will call him, I will call him!” “Yes! Go o

CHAPTER NINETY-FOUR Rufus looked at the man for a while, and following the thoughts that crept into his mind, he chuckled softly, shaking his head at once. “I still think we should leave this place, Rufus. I am sure we can find somewhere else to sit.” Noah said calmly, looking around in search of another place they could sit. He sighted an empty chair at the other end of the hall, and he sighed before returning his gaze to Rufus. “Over there, Rufus! I see an empty seat. We should go there right now, I can let you sit, I don’t mind standing.” Noah hoped that Rufus was going to agree to what he said, but his mind was already made up, and he refused to budge. “Why don’t you listen to your friend, boy! Leave that place, and find somewhere else to sit!”“No! That’s not gonna happen! If you want me to leave, then you are going to have to make me!” Rufus’s eyes glared at the man, sending cold shivers down his spine and those of his friends. They were dumbfounded, and looked at each other

CHAPTER NINETY-SIX Rufus nodded in satisfaction, and a snicker left his mouth while he glanced at Malcolm who almost shed tears.“I thought the bank belonged to him!”“Yes! That’s what he told us!” Malcolm’s friends whispered amongst themselves, their eyes looked at him with so much shock. “This is such a wonderful news, Damian! Who would have thought that the bank belonged to us?” Rufus chuckled softly, giving Damian more reasons to ask the questions that harbored his curiosity. “What has he done, Lord Rufus? Has he offended you?” The Butler looked at Malcolm who gestured to him to plead on his behalf.“He has, Damian. His son insulted me and my friend earlier today, and tonight again, I encountered him.” “I am so sorry, Lord Rufus! My son was very foolish for whatever he did to you at the store! He is going to apologize right away!” Malcolm stood up from his knees and grabbed Oliver whom he dragged closer to Rufus after giving him a slap, ignoring the grunts and blood that oozed

CHAPTER NINETY-EIGHT News about the arrest of the three students who were involved in the death of Loam Robinson continued to spread throughout the whole school, and there was no other topic on the lips of the students apart from the gossip about the arrest that took place the previous day. Rufus had just arrived at the school, and as usual, Andy drove out of the school premises as soon as he was out of the car. “I have been waiting for you, Noah! You didn’t come as early as you normally do today.” “Yeah, Noah. I just decided to take my time today.” Rufus said calmly, looking at Noah, who appeared from behind him. “Julius’s father is in the school, and he looks very angry.” “Oh, is that so?” Rufus said casually, and that didn’t seem like the kind of response Noah was expecting to hear from him. “You don’t seem bothered about this, Rufus!” Noah said nervously while they were headed to the classroom block. He was holding onto the straps of his backpack while he kept his eyes on R

CHAPTER HUNDRED Jack’s house was filled with a lot of students positioned at different corners, dancing and shaking several parts of their bodies to the rhythm of the loud disco music playing in the background. His parents were hardly around, and because they were out on one of their usual business trips, he decided to throw a house party with his friends without any reason to celebrate. All that mattered was that the ladies were going to be in attendance and that there was going to be enough to drink. Some of the notorious students had already lit their blunts and were puffing at several corners of the building. Some of the youngsters who were outside were jumping into the pool, splashing water all over the place amidst the exciting screams they made, especially from the girls. “Who is that?” One of the male students standing by the pool said as soon as they saw the blue Ferrari Spider driving slowly toward the building; everyone who heard what he said turned to the driveway to s
