Chapter 61
“What the hell are you doing, Renata? You should let him rest. He’s exhausted after saving you,” Luca said.“Oh my gosh, you’re right, Luca. I was so excited that I forgot Laga is exhausted.” Renata touched Laga’s shoulder. “You can sleep now while Peter and Luca keep watch.”“Why do I have to?” Peter protested. “I’m exhausted too. That kid named Laga beat the hell out of me. He wouldn’t even help me when I was about to become the Mammoth Prisoner’s victim. I should have...”“You’re so noisy, Peter. You can sleep when your turn is over.”“I’m so sleepy right now.” Luca yawned several times. “But I have to keep watch now. Peter, set up some traps with those crappy webs of yours.”“You’re always making me do everything.”Laga felt his eyes becoming too heavy to keep open. He saw thick fog covering the gaps between the roots, moving toward the room until it completely covered Renata, Luca, and Peter.“I need to leave right now,” Laga muttered, barely conscious. He collapsed backward and s

Laga was prepared to attack, but he immediately abandoned his plan when he realized he needed to find out what the three prisoners were talking about. “This bastard exhausted me so much. I had to cry harder and touch his body repeatedly just to manipulate his emotions. I had to endure an unbearable headache and pain throughout my body. I almost passed out because he kept resisting. His will is incredibly strong,” Renata said. Peter replied while continuing to steal Laga’s core coin. “He also has excellent physical abilities, speed, and judgment. When he was caught in my webs, he managed to escape by destroying the ground beneath his feet. He even fired poisoned arrows at me.” “I’m going to destroy these damn arrows!” Peter broke all the arrows, then screamed when the poison affected him. “Damn it! That poison is hurting me again.” “You still have some medicinal liquid, right? Use it to heal your wounds, Peter,” Renata said. “This purple liquid must be the poison he used.” Luca exa

Amid the increasingly frequent screams and footsteps, several prisoners tried to force their way through the gaps between the roots and webs. “Get the hell away from here, bastards!” Peter hurled webs from both hands at four prisoners who had forced their way inside. The four prisoners were knocked backward and caught in the webs between the roots. They struggled violently, but webs suddenly covered their mouths. Luca approached the four prisoners and yawned several times. As soon as they began to feel sleepy, he immediately struck them one by one until they lost consciousness. Four other prisoners entered through the gaps between the roots from different directions. Peter quickly bound two of them with webs and pinned them against the wall. He moved toward the other side, wrapped the other two prisoners in webs, and stuck them to the tree ceiling. Luca approached the prisoners one by one, yawning several times. “Help us, Renata.” Luca pushed Renata forward. “Don’t order me arou

“That bastard...” Renata collapsed when a stone struck her forehead. Blood covered her face. “That bastard must have...” Luca immediately ran backward when he saw a moving shadow. “That bastard is still here. He...” Laga suddenly appeared in front of Luca, grabbed him by the collar, and slammed him into the ground as hard and as fast as he could. “Bastard!” Luca grimaced when his body hit the ground hard. As he was about to turn around, a punch struck him in the face. Laga felt around Luca’s clothes. Just as he was about to take the bottle of poison, a web landed on his right arm. “You bastard! I’m going to beat you until you’d rather die than keep living!” Peter shouted as he shot toward Laga with his web. Blood flowed from his injured shoulder. By the time Laga managed to take the bottle of poison from Luca’s clothes, Peter was already in front of him, swinging a kunai at him. Laga jumped to the side and opened the bottle as quickly as possible. He saw the tip of the kunai alr

“He can’t see me here,” Laga muttered as he gripped the rock as tightly as he could. His body swayed behind the fog covering the abyss.Small pieces of rock fell from above, striking Laga repeatedly. He tried to remain calm even as his hands began to bleed. The Axe-Handed Prisoner laughed when he saw several prisoners running away. Just as he was about to run, he noticed the ground cracking and collapsing.“Well, look who’s hiding here.” The Axe-Handed Prisoner crouched when he spotted Laga. “What are you doing down there, kid?”Laga was startled and tried to move to the side, but the rock beneath his left hand suddenly cracked and crumbled, leaving him hanging by one hand.“Why did he have to find me?” Laga muttered. “Think. Find a way to survive.”“You look like you’re having a hard time. Fine, I’ll help you.” The Axe-Handed Prisoner raised his axe as high as he could. “I’ll help you get to hell as quickly as possible. Get ready to—”“Do you know how to steal another prisoner’s core
Chapter 66
Three webs shot out of the fog, flying straight toward Laga. A shadow moved rapidly through the mist, growing larger and clearer with every passing second.Laga dodged the webs. He looked up just as a chunk of earth came flying at him from above and immediately leaped to the side.“You son of a bitch!”Peter burst out of the fog and reached Laga in an instant. His gaze was sharp and cold, burning with fury.Laga shifted aside as a fist barely missed his face. He grabbed Peter by the arm and slammed him into the ground with all his strength, sending the prisoner rolling into the ravine.“I’ll get you for this, bastard!” Peter shouted from the bottom of the ravine. His voice still carried clearly to the top.Laga ran forward, grabbing his blowpipe as he kept a careful eye on his surroundings.“This ravine is dangerous terrain, but it’s also... the perfect place to take them down. I just have to—”“You’re not getting away from me this time, bastard!”Peter emerged beside Laga from the di

“Bastard!”Luca landed with his knife embedded in the ground. He stared into the thick fog covering the ravine, searching for any sign of Laga.“Did that bastard just kill himself?” Renata crawled forward without caring about the blood covering nearly half her face. “Damn it! I’m not accepting this!”“I won’t let you run away, asshole!” Peter leaped over Luca and plunged into the thick fog. He fired webs in every direction, but none managed to hit Laga.“Where the hell is that bastard? He...”Peter immediately fired his webs upward and pulled himself up as fast as he could. He struggled to breathe, his face turning pale. The moment he landed on solid ground, he collapsed, gasping for air.“You idiot! Why the hell did you jump into the ravine, Peter?” Luca said.“No! No! No!” Renata stared into the fog along the edge of the ravine. “That bastard can’t die yet! I haven’t gotten my revenge! I won’t accept him dying before I get the chance to stomp his face into the ground!”“Damn it!” Pe

Laga stood on a narrow ledge that stretched across the ravine. It was barely two steps wide. The wall of the ravine was on his right, while a massive drop yawned open on the other side. The left end of the ledge hung high above, while the right side sloped downward. Both ends disappeared into the thick fog.One wrong step... and Laga would end up at the bottom.Laga looked up.“I must have fallen pretty deep into the ravine. When the Axe-Handed Prisoner threw me into the ravine, I probably only fell a few meters. That’s why I didn’t land on this ledge.”“I can either go back up or continue downward. There might be other prisoners hiding somewhere below.”“But Peter, Luca, and Renata are probably still waiting at the edge of the ravine. If I go back up now, they could attack me again. That would put me at a disadvantage.”“I’d better avoid fighting and hide instead. I should only move once the supplies drop and the area changes. For now, I’ll stay here and observe my surroundings.”Lag

In the upper area, most of the prisoners had gathered in an open clearing. Several trees had been deliberately cut down, with their trunks serving as seats for the prisoners. A small number of prisoners were still fighting among themselves, running away, or hiding. The Axe-Handed Prisoner walked toward the center of the clearing, followed by three prisoners.Among the prisoners gathered there was the Mammoth Prisoner. He sat on a specially prepared bench alongside four female prisoners.“Tell me what interesting game you have in mind to dare interrupt my fight with another prisoner,” the Mammoth Prisoner said as he stepped on the wounded prisoners beneath him.“Listen carefully, you bunch of idiots!” the Axe-Handed Prisoner shouted, raising both of his massive axes high into the air.The prisoners waited impatiently, including those who had only recently joined them.“Do you all know how to steal core coins?” the Axe-Handed Prisoner asked. Most of the prisoners looked at one another a

Thirty-six prisoners lined up in the center of the area, while the spectators grew increasingly excited as they waited for the fight to begin. One by one, they displayed the number of core coins they possessed.“The Mammoth Prisoner has 42,000 core coins. That’s an incredible amount! How many prisoners has he killed?”“The Axe-Handed Prisoner has 39,000 core coins. He’s in second place.”“Damn it,” the Axe-Handed Prisoner muttered as he locked eyes with the Mammoth Prisoner.“The other prisoners also have more than 20,000 core coins. They’re all formidable prisoners, even though some of the participants don’t exactly look impressive.”“Are you all ready?”The loud-voiced prisoner approached several prisoners and whispered to them for a moment. He was suddenly pushed upward and threw several sheets of paper toward the participants.“Take your numbers. Keep them secret from the other prisoners.” The loud-voiced prisoner spoke from atop a pile of tree trunks. “The prisoners who receive n
